1800W Jack Herer - Now In Flower :)

It takes a while to build up the rep and to get people to follow along. By the looks of it the people will be coming along and commenting plenty soon. You got a great garden mate. One way to get more people is to sub and participate in others journals more. I am watching your show dude.

Have a good day my friend.

hey Yeah your right. My issue is with time. I literally get enough spare time to answer a few noob questions and update this. Id love to spend every minute here believe me but working a 50 hour week with 2 kids and a misses at home and running the G-room from a different location means I barely get enough time to take a shit in the morning. haha. perhaps IL swap some of the question answering for commenting on other diary's and get myself out there. cheers for your advice and time to comment. about to update now so stay tuned.

Monday Update Time. :)

Day 45 - 25 days to go.

Wassup every one, hope your all well and your gardens are thriving, Got some news upon checking the ladies today they appear to have started to change there pistils from white to a hint of orange. only about 7-10% but at least its giving me notice they are starting to come to the end of there cycle. Still no real calyx swelling though but plenty of bud growth I imagine another 25 days the perfect time to allow for the ripening process. one good thing about going over 2 times a week is I can really notice the growth... funny to think out of 70 days flowering I would of only been there 20 times... I know some people who cant stay out there grow room let alone leave it for 3 days at a time!!

noticed some of the plants seem to be showing a slight under watering problem. narrowed this down to some clogged drippers. I gave them a clean out and hopefully problem solved. Still using the PK13/14 this will stop this Friday I will be sorting the 250w HPS's out ready for the start of week 8.

EC at 1.8 - PH at 5.8 - Day temp 28.c - night temp 21.c - humidity 45%. all seems well - touch wood.

Enjoy the pictures.

Friday Update :)

Day 49 - Week 7

Hey all, Ran into problems..... Not with the plants as such but with timing, There must be some glitches with this strain and that's with the predicted flowering time. Although all plants are from the same mother 4 of them are now 95% ready to chop.. Swollen calyx's, receded brown pistil's, all plastered in thrichomes with a slight tinge of purple. where the other ones are still some 2-3 weeks off to get to the same as the others. the others tend to be bigger plants, there about 30% red hairs with no real calyx swelling as such. my problem is this. my flowering tent is also my drying tent I have no where else I can dry the crop. I can not leave the plants that are ready to go another 3 weeks. I can push them another week maximum without the risk of them turning hurmie and ruining the crop. so this is the plan.. Iv started to flush with PH'd Water. Iv put the MH lamps back on and put the lighting timer on 10 hours on and 14 hours off to try to speed ripen the buds. risky I know but its better than doing nothing and leaving the crop to go to the full 10 weeks and ruin its self. at least if any plants hermie in this last week there will not be enough time to grow seeds. iv done this once before with the lower light hours and it did work great. The yield is already there so I wont be losing any im gutted I cant go the full 10 weeks but there is nothing else I can do. I never comprehended I would run into this problem...

So yeah chop day will be 7 days from today 17th of oct.. Pretty gutted but another lesson learnt I suppose...

here's some pics. notice the difference in some of the plants..

thoughts and comments please.

Had a good idea......

Rememberd I have a DR90 grow tent in the loft.... dimensions of the tent is 90cmx90cmx180cm so if I harvest the 4 ready plants next Friday then remove one of the systems then in its place I can put the DR90 inside the flowering tent, iv also go a 100mm ruck fan that I will use to exchange the air inside the DR90, reason im going to put the DR90 inside the flowering tent is I do not trust a 100mm filter with odour removel especially when the plants stink like these do. so using the tent inside the flowering tent means I can capitalise on the big filter to remove the smells and the DR90 keeps the light away from the bud drying inside... not a perfect solution but its a solution non the less and its cost me nothing but a bit of time......

in the mean time im still going to continue to flush the all the ladies and keep the new lighting schedule to try and ripen the rest asap.

next update on Monday ..

Mate, I replied via PM before I saw this so I guess we're thinking along the same lines. :) Hope it all pans out ok dude. I know you're the man with a plan so no wucking forries lol :) :thumb:

Zoot is FULL ON Cherokee Light Man lol :) Got more tents than a rock festival and scouts jamboree combined lol :)

Shit, thats terrible news dude :( Let us know if all is ok with the others mate.

Mis-interpreted mate. Thought you meant 2 had just pegged it lol. No, that's GOOD news then :)

Looks awesome... as usual I am a day late and a dollar short. I see the ones that most likely you cut had nanners... I would have suggested if you want some fem seeds just let her go a while more but I am too late :cheesygrinsmiley:

beautiful

Hey naa no nanners. But I think if I had left those ones any longer then yeah I think it would of been the case. Il slam an update with some pics later today :)

Looking good my brother zoot.

Were the ones that finished early a little closer to the light?

Hey shotta.. naa they were smaller than the rest. 90% hairs went brown and had 20% amber trichs the rest were milky. But on the remaining plants they have atleast 2-3 weeks left and are still majority clear trichs with no real calyx swelling. Real strange as they were all taken from the same mother. Only thing I could put it down to is some of the drippers gave out some more than others but I dont see how that would effect finishing time. . Hmmm as said il.do a nice update qith some chopped bud pic's tonight about 6pm :)

Update Time - Day 55 of 70 - 15 days to go.

So some strange events have taken place since the last update. Had to chop 2 plants, no fault of there own or no issues apart from the fact they just generally finished quicker than all there twin sisters.. Still kind of puzzles me that all the cuttings came from the same mother, grown in the same conditions but some how they finish 2 weeks before the rest and by looks I would say the rest have 2-4 weeks left, I just cant give them all the time they need, new project starts in 15 days and I need the tent there in, think iv got a sativa dominant variant of jack as im still noticing bud growth on the tops of the cola's! from experience I know sativas can do this but im torn between letting them finish completely or just accepting they wont reach full maturity and chopping early, the Yield is there and the trich's are looking clear-milky-ish but no real calyx swelling and the hairs are still 75% white, though that being said there is 15 days left until the manufacturers predicted harvest time so it could finish in time I just don't think it will!!...... so fingers crossed the 10/14 lighting schedule helps them ripen quicker. Iv still got the MH's on and iv started to semi flush. will be starting full flush from tomorrow until chop.

Night time temps had dropped to near on 14.c so I've introduced the tube heaters that have bumped this back up to 19-21.c so that's sorted..

iv set up a drying tent in a closet, its a dr90 with a 100mm ruck and rhino pro filter, the filter has a ona block inside to help cope with the smell.. its doing well. the 2 plants have been drying for nearly 48 hours and have lost some size but still smells nice and sweet/spicy no pine cones :) I predict about 3-4 oz dry from them but could be less.. perhaps you guys can have a guess from the pictures IL put up...

Thought id mention the idea for the next project now... Rather than running 12 plants in 18L pots with 4 under each 600 iv decided that im going to just run 3 plants in there own 30L pot with there own 600w light and own Wilma drip system. Im going to be making them there own 100cm x 100cm scrog each and plan is to top the plants then train the branches in and out of the screen until its full of upward shooting branches, once the screen is full il trim and flower. see if I can pull 1 pound a plant. there will be no time restriction on this grow as I will take some cuttings before I flower them.. could be looking at a 3 month veg :) what do you guys think?

any way here's the pics....
