So .. 9 hours later .... done. Fuck me senseless ... I'll be investigating how to make this easier .. makes me less anxious to grow a 1-pound monster too.


Washing .. I just agitated and swirled and almost burned my hands, but rather straight forward ... two cold water washes after that and then on to trimming..

Half way done ... I was still liking it at this point ...

Finally ... done .. been at it all night .. my wife just came done wondering why I was not in bed

After 9 hours of tedious pulling leaves off and cutting the bud loose, I have:

327 gram buds (wet), estimated 65g dry, based on 80% weight loss

138 gram sugar leaves (wet), estimated 27g dry, based on 80% weight loss

Add to that the by now 40 grams I already took off, and that would be just touching 100g in buds, and the sugarleafs are perfectly smokable too, but I will make bubble with 'em.

All in all, I'm quite happy with the results, given the no-fertilizer and cfl based first two months .. they had LED for just the last month.


I'll be creating a new journal for my ongoing grows, it will be comparing my LED panel against a CFL grow .. in order to gauge what to do with it It better outperforms the CFL tent ...

So .. dried and ready she is. She is smooth, and tastes like how she smells ... a fine blue cheese with earthy flavours. Thanks to the washing, she is even softer to the throat then she already is by her nature. Her effect is instant .. like the first sip of coffee can do to a clouded mind. It's like breaking through the clouds of fog. After the first two hits, a nice tingly sensation spreads through my mouth .. much like the set-on of a sedation at the dentist.

Effect lasts for quite a while .. I never wait till it wears off .. but I can go longer between smoking. Altho, having a huge supply all of a sudden, did make me go fuck it for a week Back to normal usage now

Dried it came in at a rough 40, with by then about 50 smoked .. so all in all, an estimated 110g dry. Considder the fact that they went without fertilizer for the first two months (1 of which was seed & veg) and have been under CFL's for that same period. They only got 2 waterings with fertilizers.

All in all, this journal is proof that one does not need much gear to start .. just a few CFL's and an exhaustfan, and a few common household materials for light-proofing a growroom. I hope it demonstrates how much abuse the plants can take, and how many errors will still lead to perfectly smokeable bud.

They might not be prize winners, but compared to commercial crap, and cost, this rocks.

With my upgrade to LED, and a second small tent with CFL, I do not see myself stopping any time soon .. I love doing it, and the result is the reward in and of itself for me.
