Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Happy Friday everyone!
So, 8.5 days in the drying box did the trick! I was hoping it'd take 10 days to dry,
..but, I always hope that, and it never does take that long...

Anyhow, here.s a few final pics of the @Barney's Farm Blue Gelato 41

It doesn't look much different, but it's considerably lighter than it was... 😁
1 Dry Enough...jpg

I pulled her out of the drying box
2 panful.jpg

De-stemmed everything, and on to the scale she went..
3 383g-13.jpg

383g/13.7oz, so it's a new record for the box!
She'll probably lose the .7 during curing, so 13 oz even...still not too bad... 🤔
me>---->.😁
4-13.7oz.jpg

It's all going in here for a month and a half or so...(apx. 3.5 gallon jar)
4a-big jar.jpg

She filled it 3/4 full, so that's just about right for curing...
5-3 quarters full.jpg

A good starting point- the rh will slowly creep up to a more cure-friendly level....
6-rh60.jpg

A few nugs...
...these didn't make it back to the jar...but, they did make me late getting started on this update...🤪:lot-o-toke:
7-nug.jpg

8 -nug 2.jpg

9-nug.jpg

And that about closes the book on that one!
She was a great grower, a great producer, and
quite a flopper at the end!👍

Thanks for following along!♥️

I'll be starting a @Barney's Farm Critical Kush on Sunday for
a comparative grow with @Trala, so that's what's next on the agenda..

Hope to see you then- have a wonderful weekend!

beautiful nugs to boot (or they were anyway ;) )!
Thank You, Shed - Ha! yeah, those are long gone...fortunately, I have access to a few more...:ganjamon:

Great haul Carcass and I am going to make some of those containers I hope I do not infringe on your patent.
Thanks, Keith!-- I haven't come up with a catchy name for it yet, so it's fair game!😁

Well, you invented them, so you get the credit! 🍋
Might want to check in with @Farthestnorth

That's his brand of lid in the pic!

Thirteen ounces! Now you're growing like a big dog, Carcass!

Great looking buds too.

I love a happy ending! :Rasta:

Congrats on the haul, can't wait to hear about how it smokes.

Well, you invented them, so you get the credit! 🍋
Ha! I didn't invent them, but I think I'm the first to use one on a 3.5 gallon jug...
Might want to check in with @Farthestnorth
Thanks, Shed- I'd seen those, and a few other types on the zon...
My jug will be old protein jug brand. 🍋
Ha! Same as mine!
Hey, Keith- one thing you'll have to do is get rid of the "vanilla" smell in the jug (or whatever flavor it is)
Here's what you do to de-odorize your jug:
1- scrub the inside with a scotch-brite pad, hot water, and detergent- this won't get rid of all the smell, but it will get rid of most of it..
2 - Add half a cup of water, and half a cup of bleach to the jug, put the lid on and shake it up.
Leave the bleach solution in there for 3 or 4 days, shaking it up occasionally.

When you dump the bleach, the vanilla (or whatever) smell will be gone..

easy-peasy...
I friggin love this!!

Great haul there!!!
Thanks, @Ke0ncp! She was a fun one to grow👍

Thanks, GDB!- and It only took me 70 years...👨‍🦳
Great harvest carcass , beautiful flowers, enjoy the fruits of your labor
Thank You, ThirdUncle! I'll be enjoying that one for quite awhile... :ganjamon:
Congrats on the haul, can't wait to hear about how it smokes.
Thanks, G-1-3! I've only smoked testers so far, so it doesn't taste great yet, although it's not terrible, either..It's a pretty heavy buzz, comes on in like 5 minutes, and lasts close to 2 hours, so I'm pretty happy with it so far....
Thank You so much, HH..
Great looking bud! 13 zips make a real nice grow!
Thanks, Stone- it sure does! man, that's a shitload of weed...
Let's make a pound next!
No reason not to!
Congratulations on the harvest. Nice haul! :thumb:
Thanks, stinker! @Barney's Farm genetics are hard to beat!
Cool cure jar. Sticky stuff.
My son was throwing it in the recycle, and he said "too bad you can't put your weed in here or something"...
I thought- why not?..🤔

Sorry I missed the end of your grow, Carcass. Congrats on the huge yield from your Blue Gelato. She was a nice looking plant. Too bad that disappeared when you pulled her out of the box. ;)

Thank You, HashGirl!
Too bad that disappeared when you pulled her out of the box. ;)
It took the wind out of her sails big time!
But, floppy weed smokes just as good as not-floppy weed...😁

And hopefully not replaced by a bleach smell. 👃

Good point, Azi- I thought the same thing- but the bleach smell doesn't hang around once you rinse it out...
