Golfer - NL Auto - Soil - LED/CFL - Grow 2

Thanks for the feedback OMU :Namaste: Who am I to argue with experience!

When I zoom in I notice some are clear and more are cloudy. I'm anticipating two more feedings over the next two weeks and then plan is the last two weeks (or so) to go with just ph'd water.

Golfer, I don't have any firsthand experience using molasses. From what I've read a lot of people run it though. Some do only flowering and some do veg and flowering. I bought some, but don't plan on starting it until the first time I feed the girls nutes. My understanding is that it has trace minerals some nutrients and sugars that the plant and beneficial organisms in the soil like.

I also read that it allows the plant to absorb more nutes and the sugars help "bulk" up the buds to make them look better, not necessarily more potency.

I'm thinking I may be harvesting in the next 3 weeks so I'm not sure if it is too late for molasses. I may only do one more feeding. I harvested the last plants around 8 weeks and the stone is just a tad too sleep for me. Thinking one more feeding, 2 weeks water only and into dark for a couple days before harvest.

I ordered some Extreme Haze from Crop King Seeds that should be here soon. That's the next grow.

Not only is this a new strain for me (mostly sativa), it's also just 5 regular seeds. Not feminized, not auto. I may need to grow 2 and after a couple weeks go 12/12 to determine sex. As for the fact that it's not auto, I will be topping/fimming and using LST more extensively. With only 30" total height, I don't have much room for the future lady to stretch.

close up from tonight....

Very excited to see the ladies getting bigger with some serious buds :slide:

Gave her a gallon of water with big bloom(3tsp), tiger bloom(2tsp), grow big(1/2 tsp), calmag (3ml) and poured in a cup with 1 tablespoon of Grandma's Molasses unsulphured.

Used some more string and nails to tie the big cola's down further on the fabric pot, opening her up a bit to get better light from the LED and CFL's.

I will take some more comparison pictures because there has been another bulk up in the last few days. I couldn't be happier with how she looks and smells at this point :yahoo:

Thanks, Glimmer! I will be posting some more pictures tomorrow.

I'm also using LST. Started out using the hangers like Pigeons mentioned. Worked great when she was small. After about 4 weeks I moved to using string and anchoring it to the side of the fabric pot with a 1.5" nail that goes right into the pot. It's definitely helped me create some side colas that are really looking good.

I also read Atrain's auto post. Great stuff. I have a short grow tent (30") so I started the flowering nutes around weeks 4 - 5 and it helped me. Honestly, I'm not sure how much more outward growth would have occurred. I wasn't that concerned with vertical height stopping. It's worked well for me. My next grow will be a regular Haze so it will be interesting to see how that goes.

Thanks for stopping by! :thanks:

She's looking great and the weather has been so perfect. It's been in the 60/70's at night. The buds on the big colas (about 6 of them) are getting more ripe and thick every day. I re-read Atrain's post about auto lifecycles every day. She's about a week from 70 days old so I may only feed her one more time. Tonight she got a gallon of water with molasses.

I plucked a little bud the other day that's been dried well. Smokes real nice. The buds are just a little sticky and leave your fingers a little sticky. Get a nice high from her. I snuck another, larger bud today and here is a pic. She obviously has more time to go, but we're getting close.

Luckily my Crop King Extreme Haze showed up today so the seed is in water now until tomorrow (just sunk) and then to paper towel. She will be my first photo, non-feminized. Should I go with two seeds to start? Do you let them grow a couple of weeks and switch to 12/12 to sex and then back to veg? I will just go with one unless everyone recommends doing two.

Thanks for stopping by :peacetwo:

I wish I could retire and make a living growing. I'm sure it's possible, but not with this golfer.

Really enjoying this second grow. I look forward to getting up in the morning and checking her. I am excited to come home each night to see how much progression is going on. It's a fun night when she gets a watering and a feeding.

I also like taking pictures so here is some more bud porn for ya's.

I'm really proud of this plant and how well it's doing. It looks like a real cannabis plant! Hoping the wife enjoys the smoke:high-five:

For those following along, the Extreme Haze is done soaking and now in paper towels. I only did one, so I'm gambling it's a female.

ahhh the joys of growing.... so much fun init, its even better when you got a cool camera as you have. I used to have a decent camera n took some awesome macros many years ago but nowadays I use something a lil on the toss side shall we say. Mayb in the future :theband:
Id love to get another macro lense. What day are these babys?

just read a post before about regulars, if you do just one then youre running the risk of it being male n you wasting time, fact is if you run 2 they mayb both male. If you got the room id plant 3, jus incase. As for 12/12, you wait until the plant is mature, this means secondary nodes and about 12 inches minimum in height

Day 64. Got home a little early so I took her outside for a little late afternoon sun. Decided to water and feed today. Didn't feed the grow big, only the big bloom and tiger bloom. A little calmag and tblsp of molasses. I'm thinking this may be the last feed (I keep saying that).

I always try to be careful but managed to spray a little water on the lower leaves. Some slight trimming, only a few leaves. After a full gallon she's getting pretty heaven carrying her back to the tent.

Got the second fabric pot for the Extreme Haze all set up with happy frog and some add'l perlite. I'm rolling the dice and hoping the one that's in the paper towels turns out to be female. Crossing my fingers I can do this Extreme Haze justice.

I can't help but take pictures. Really excited about how she's turning out.

Thanks for stopping by:welcome:
