Greenlizard's First Grow: Purple Kush & Hash Plant, October 2018

Wow nice job. I almost always ignore the quoted times used to sell seeds and let the buds and tris tell me. That’s the best way to get the most out of your bud. Watch your growth hairs, leaf colors, swell, and tris. Jewelers loop is a necessity. Harvest to your flavor and goal based on tri colors. The flush is debatable since people have started growing. Personally with FF trio, I can’t taste a difference.

Day 61 of flower.
Last night I did another watering on the flowering plants. They were not dry enough for a watering yet but time is running out and I wanted to push through to finish the feeding schedule and give them a dose of "Final Drive". I might have to start flushing the front two plants sooner than they would like to be as well. I hope I don't run into overwatering issues towards the end.
The vegging plants are doing well and were given a full feeding.

Day 63 of flower.

I guess I still have another week or so to go.

Day 67. I could use some advice. I just can't stop being anxious. So if I take 7 days off for flip time I'm at day 60 of actual flower time?
Here are my trichomes. The two purple kush in the front are further along. Should I start flush on everyone or just the ones in the front? Or should I give one more feeding?

if it was me I would flush so the plants can go through a wet dry cycle at least once before you chop so they have the opportunity to use up the nutes in their system

Things are looking great, the colour on your buds is spectacular. How are your clones holding up? I'm a few weeks behind you, I just started some seeds this week.
Thanks,
I'm real happy with the color. I only kept 1 clone and gave the rest away. I have 3 new strains to add this grow coming up. Bubba Kush, Trainwreck, and White Widow.

So yesterday was harvest day. Wow! What a pile of work. My wife and I worked tirelessly for 9 straight hours trimming. We still have one plant left to cut and trim tonight. I knew it was going to be a lot of work but we under estimated it for sure. I can't imagine having a dozen or more plants to deal with. 5 was enough! LOL. We took all our trim and put it in the freezer to make butter with later. Scissor hash is amazing! LOL. I tossed a nice ball of it in my pipe and it actually gave me energy and helped aliveate some of the pain, and discomfort while trimming. I havn't weighed anything yet but I will give a dry weight report once I get to that point. Now I see what Snoop ment when he said "sticky icky icky".

Congrats! Now to drying and curing... the work isnt done yet! Looks like it was a very nice harvest though! It's always more fun when you can share the chore of trimming with someone else.

Yes, but at least it's not nearly as hard of work as trimming. I am going to use mason jars and I was thinking about using those Bovida packs. Are they necessary? My local shop can't seem to keep them in stock so I was thinking about ordering some online.

They are not necessary, but they sure are handy. If you have a little hygrometer that you can put in the mason jar you should be able to burp your way down to 65 RH and get a good cure without the bovida.... The packs just make it almost automatic. Be sure to get the 62's to cure and the 58 to long term store.

Alright. I'll track some down. Thanks.

Well tonight was the harvest of the last plant. She is a purple kush and was the smallest of the 5. Once dry I will give a weight report.

That purple is sweet looking. Can’t wait to see how it looks dried.
:lot-o-toke:

All jarred up. Total weight dry is 407 grams. I am very happy. The purple kush is very good, and has a sweet smell. Not bad for 315 watts of light.
