Inside The Mini-Tent, 150W LED, Going Coco For Tropicanna Bananna

It can be a long process, PC. When you think it's fully colonised, leave it another 5 days to a week to ensure the mycelium spreads throughout the entire substrate
Once it colonizes should I break it up and leave it again till it is fully colonized. I think that's what they did on the video from North Spore. Also watch the video, That's exactly the way I am doing it and I will have my mono tubs decked out with the humidifier and fan with controller and the Inkbird to keep it around 70% RH

If following those guys is working for you then maybe stay the same course. They must be doing something right if they're getting good yields

So the time for the harvest pictures and post has come!
I was going to do it but we didn't get finished until after 3am so we hung the branches and went to bed.

Let's get started!

Strain: Tropicanna Bannana - Barney's Farm (Sativa dominant 60/40)
Breeder bloom time: 65 - 75 days
Anna's total bloom time: 69 days
Growing methods used: Topping, SCRoG, LST, (accidental) Supercop
Medium: Coco + perlite

Here she is! We had some trouble getting her out of the tent so a branch or two broke slightly but that isn't a problem anymore.
It was amazing for us to see her outside her 40cm2 prison. We've only been able to view her from one angle this whole time, so to view her entirety was very exciting.

Now the heartbreaking task of chopping our child down comes to hand.

So next up was trimming Anna's beautiful buds!

This took longer than we both anticipated but at the end we had a beautiful bounty of small but dense buds that smell wonderfully of citrus and pine, and also more trim covered in frost than I expected.

We also got a decent little bit of finger and scissor hash that we'll be sampling very soon!

I have taken small buds and one top that were casualties from taking her out of the tent and net. They're drying outside the tent and I shall use them to tide me over until the other buds have had time to cure.

At this point we were both pretty exhausted, both having been at work during the day. But nevertheless we wanted the best quality of cannabis for our efforts so we proceeded to wash the buds!

I used 1 bucket with around 9 litres of 20c water with 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and baking powder per litre. The second bucket was 20c water and the third was cold water. I really liked the colour of the buds after the wash, and at the very least all the trim floating in the bucket is a good enough reason for having washed them.

It's hard to tell but there are 4 coat hangers in there. I had to arrange them weirdly to get them to fit.

So that's about all I can say! We'll wait for her to dry, and when she's reading around 13% MC on my meter I'll chop her buds off the branches, weigh them up, and stick them in jars!

Looks like the first round of the Mini-Tent is almost finished. It's a very bittersweet feeling. My heart will ache until I pop some more seeds!

Cheers folks :ganjamon:

Awesome stuff Burdok.
Congratulations on your harvest.
Looks like you will have some nice quality smoke there and the satisfaction of growing it yourself.
Enjoy buddy :thumb:

Thank you very much, Bill!

The yield won't be crazy and the buds won't drop your jaw but the quality looks top notch so I'm pleased. Next time round I'll be pushing it further and investing in a better light so I have no doubts the bud size will be better then.

Until that point, however, I'm very much looking forward to some homegrown and a nice sativa! They're rare in my neck of the woods
