so i purchased a new cab, but it didnt fit in my car, so i left it there. its a hardened resin plastic storage cab. I shoudnt worry about it melting should i?

No, you would have to have over 1400 watts and have poor airflow so the temp spikes over 120. lol

I use a 400w HPS in a 'smallish' cab, works perfect with just one fan (part door open) not to far from a breeze from an open window. Temps read 23-30c here depending on the wether here in England, which has been nice, so todat read 30c, plants loving it though.
Looking great .... Nice and bushy....not sure the strain but they look like mine...and mine was good bagweed ...Keep up awesome job ...CFL's rock for veg!

the cab i got, i dont have yet, it was too big to fit in my subaru, so im waiting for someone to get it for me i guess.
and the reason im getting the cab was reminded to me when i raised the lights (from touching the plants) 6 inches, The most i can go, and the plants are already at the lights.
yes, i have decided on a all cfl grow the first time. My second grow will be with cfls for veg and 400w hps for flowering-in separate chambers-on a rotating schedule.
as far as the ambient temp in my rooms, its about 74 when im here and 79 when im gone. (fans blowing on plants keep them at 75-78) Im thinking of adding 8 more cfls for side growth when they get a few inches taller. Ive been noticing some shadows around the lower leaves, which cant be good for them.
well im off to smoke a bowl of some crap that someone got for me. ugh, although i did get to smoke white widow for the first time yesterday. It was one of the smoothest inhales ive ever had smoking pot. The after-taste was kinda like hot sauce. Thats the seeds im gonna get. Wow what a high. laterz.

update, something is eating my plants, the leaf is just disapearing and one of them it looks like a human bite. It looks to effect the bottom (older) leaves. But made its way to one top. Dont have camera right now, get pics soon. There is no yellowing, just looks like big bites out of leaves. Help me!
uh , you have some caterpillars .... kill them all! lol

caterpillers? umm, ok i was thinking spider mites because i dont see any insects like that anywhere, except for a gnat every-once-in-a-while. I dont know, let me read the post you linked before i say anything.

i have 2 cats pan, i dont think they are eating my plants, but incase, they will be locked up to test that theroy.

I've tried to lock up cats but the yowling makes it near impossible to cope lol
I don't think spider mites will create the damage you speak of...gotta be something larger like a caterpillar or even an animal. My youngest cat nipped the tip off of a leaf I was letting her smell so it's quite possible you have a similar problem. She is also the same cat that yanked Lilly the runt out of her cup right after I transplanted her for a quick romp around the room lol
