Shankin's Alien Dog Coco To Perlite 3L Hempy

A little bit of background info on why I am taking the chance of growing an illegal crop (based on the laws of the state I am in).

3 years ago I was involved in an accident that should have been the end of me. While in the Army I got the chance to enter Ranger Indoctrination Program aka RIP. I believe it is now called Rasp but that is off subject. While attending the school we participated in multiple night jumps from a C130. I ended up catching jet wash coming off the end of the ramp and was blown over a grove of trees. It being night time, I was unaware of what was below me. The result was my falling through the canopy of very old trees located on Ft. Benning. The trees did not give unfortunately. My femur, pelvis, hip, and knee on my right leg did. Long story short: I kept the leg for the most part. I have a titanium rod that replaced the femur, grafts holding the pelvis together, and artificial knee and hip. All of that was secondary to the closed head injury i sustained when I actually made it to the ground. At least it was the hardest part of my body that broke the fall...

I was medically retired in Texas while in a rehab program at Ft Sam in San Antonio. The drugs that I should be taking for the rest of my life made me retarded. Dilaudid, Xanax, Percocet, and fentanyl patches to name a few. I have replaced all of my med with a simple plant that does it all. I would rather risk jail than spend my days drooling in a corner because the pharmaceuticals I should be taking leave me all but in a coma.

I wish all of those out there with a dependency on synthetic pain meds would just try a few vape hits of good bud. It would change the minds of thousands of people. Anyway, I hope this answered the question I got about why I would take a risk in a state run by fake Christians and right-wing bible thumpers.

I will post a picture update when I get home. Thanks for stopping by.

Week 3 Update

Just pictures tonight. Harvested a plant and smoked some hash. High as hell. I will type out the details eventually.
Harvested plant first:

Still growing. Transplanted this week at some point. Don't remember when. Decided to switch this back to my supersoil as I did just fine with it last grow. New tent and light coming in so I have more room to do indoor soil.
FIM'd this week on Wednesday I think.

Seed + 39 days

Haven't updated in a while because everyone knows what a veg'ing plant looks like. As of yesterday I have 6 confirmed females, with 3 more that I believe are female based off smell alone. I know smell isn't a viable means of sexing a plant but in my experience, if your plant smells like fresh dank before they show sex, it's most likely a female. I wish I could capture the smell and post it to my journal but alas, the technology isn't there yet. OC is performing as expected, plants are beautiful (IMO). On to the pictures.

FIM'ed a second time in an attempt to keep the height down. I have one that is over 2 feet already and flowering hasn't even started yet. She got supercropped. Keep in mind, all these will be going in doors in a tent.

Hurrah for females!!

I am not sure if Sea of Seeds is a sponsor or not, but regardless I ordered 10 Nirvana White Rhino (reg) and 10 Nirvana NL (reg). Both seeds went out of stock after I placed my order. Mark (owner?) emailed me and explained the situation and asked me to select different seeds. I was disappointed that the seeds I ordered were not available and switched to two more Nirvana strains: Super Skunk and Blue Mystic. By the following morning I changed my mind and wanted to wait for the strains I ordered to come in and emailed him my request. He CALLED me shortly after and explained that my replacement seeds had already been shipped but due to the disappointment of having to select seeds I really had no interest in, SeaofSeeds offered to send me the original strains in the quantity I ordered FREE OF CHARGE when they come back in stock (should be this Monday according to the latest email I received from Mark).

This is how a company should handle customers; unlike a certain seedbank I had dealings with in the past. This bank that I will just refer to as Bitchy Seedbank took my money and did not send me my order. Instead, after 3 weeks of emailing them repeatedly asking for my money or my seeds ($450 USD worth), I got an email stating that because I lived in a state (Texas) that vehemently opposes Cannabis regulation, they would be unable to send my order but I could expect my refund in 6-8 weeks. This was over a year ago. While many people use Bitchy Seedback without a problem, I will never be sending them my money again. /endstory

In short, for anyone looking for a QUALITY seed bank, I fully recommend SeaOfSeeds. Great service and fast shipping (the SS and BM arrived in 6 days from the UK to Texas!!!). Who could ask for more?

Any way. Thanks for stopping by. :Namaste:

Hey Shankin,
Thought id stop by your journal just in case i had to eat my words!!:) But yeah, shame the nxt door got busted, but if youre experienced with indoor, why didnt you move em inside or sumthin?? But SAFETY FIRST!!!
Look i am sorry for my rant which i was not part of initially, its just since ive been a member here Shank, THATS THE WORST THING IVE READ personally directed at someone for not being 100% correct. Ive had to seek help and if sum one said that to me it would make me feel a little inadequate, dont you agree?? But yeah, ive grown for about 16 yrs now mate, and its not thousands of plants either id say under 100 all up.. But there s still times when i second guess myself, even tho ive done that b4!!
So in saying that i hope you can please if only for others feelings sake - try to lesson the sting of ur comments somewhat!!
OR NOT!! TELL ME TO SHOVE IT IF YA WANT!! But yeah, will chat later n hope ya get another grow happenin soon!

Aye, I have another grow started. Posted a few pics in the other thread. Just trying to stay low key for a bit. Neighbors are moving soon, then I will start a new journal with some seeds I bred out a year ago. A TRUE AG strain! Hurrah!! My next journal will include step by step details and possibly video since stills don't always capture the true nature of a grow.

I am also working on a compost recipe that I think will have incredible results with our beloved plants. Either that or it will cook them in a hurry! HAHA

And no worries Smoke, I am think skinned and can take criticism better than most. Years in the Army will do that to you. If I come across as an asshole, it's because I am one. I don't deny that I am rude and hard to tolerate. On the other hand, I spent 2 years in South America destroying fields of this stuff and picked up a ton of info while I was there. The way they grow in Panama defies reason and everything you read in books, but you can't beat the Sativa you find there. So when I post a glimpse of knowledge from my travels and someone says I am wrong and it can't be done, it tends to offend me since I am doing it the way I describe in my posts.

Just some food for thought.

Happy growing and I will be back with a journal in October. In the meantime, I will post pictures of my current grow occasionally with some of the tips I picked up in my travels. I hope someone finds some use for them, but please don't say it cannot be done the way I am doing it, since the proof is in the pictures.

Oh, and while I know going with the site sponsers supports the site and all, when looking for a new ballast would anyone have a clue which ballast company rises above the rest?

Lumatek 600 w switchable/dimmable digital ballast. No questions asked, best results with that ballast.
