I need a new journal to keep all my grows under one new roof. :volcano-smiley:

Using Doc Buds High Brix Kit.

pot size from 5 gal fabric pots to 12.5gal air pots in flower.

Im in the process of sorting through some diff genetics that ive had in the drawer for some time to find some keepers I can work with for an extended period of time :)

To start off here is some budporn from what I recently harvested:

im going to go from my clones, veg, to flower. How and what im doing with the plants, my room setup(ghetto as it is :)) and the feedings. I have limited time and access to the internet so I may not get through all of it today but here we go. hope you all enjoy :):Namaste:

Cloning:
Ive cloned in about every way ive heard of/read or seen and ive resorted to the easiest cheapiest method ive found and I love it:)
its the way I took my first ever clone. Just stick it in a cup of water. I did this with a lemon haze plant many years ago and was surprised to find it putting out roots with plain water just sitting in a cup.
I forgot all about it because after that I moved into more "advanced" cloning and did rooter plugs, aeroponic sprayers ect... not till good ol mister Graytail started doing the same did it remind me of it and now its all I do.

the roots are nice and white and the plants stay real healthy too considering these in the pics above have been in the cups for over 2 months...just water and a pinch of Doc Buds great ROOTS product per cup and there you go. roots in 2-3 weeks in most cases. Then the clones go to the airpot propagation pots. I cut the roots WAYYYY back before transplanting to make them more manageable.

The reason my roots are so much and they have been in there for so long because I was waiting for the finished buds to be cured a bit and tested both smoke and taste before I decided which clones were worthy of hitting the High Brix soil. as of now im just waiting till the 15th or so for some recooked soil to be ready for them, while im waiting for a couple new kits from Doc to start some fresh first round soil.

A DIY VEG space:
This is one of the spaces I use for veg. my cuttings and fresh planted clones go up top under the cfl which is 2 55w 6500k bulbs. right now my clones in the prop pots are another veg tent. so I just have my cuttings in cups in there with one bulb on. I keep the cups to the side a so theres not any DIRECT light into the cups.
Its just a closet that I put poly across and added a zipper.

DSC01433_-_Copy.JPG

with a lack of much more power to add lights in this space I have 110w of cfl on the wall and a 130w full spectrum LED over top. each day I move the LED from one side to another (diy slowest moving light mover lolol) it has worked really well and vegs very nice plants :)

Flower room:
I haven't taken pics much of the actual space for the flower room. but its in a room and I framed in a space which these are in that is bout 5'x7'ish. I used the walls for 2 walls and used 1/2"foam insulation sheets reflective on both sides to separate it from another room and then used poly and Zipper for the front as with the veg closet. ill get into feeding schedule when I can get back on tomorrow so ill just post pics of the flower room for now.Im having my issues in this reused recooked soil in which I belive is due to the lack of castings and amendment in the recook. ive headed off the current problems and nothing is getting worse as of now.

Thanks for subbing up and stopping by, I couldn't appreciate you all more!!!!:thanks::high-five:

Veg feeding:

when it comes time for me to do some transplanting ill get into that for now ill be leaving it out.

I use Doc Buds instructions just about to the T for Veg both in 1st run soil and those after.
Instead of copying his instructions verbatim ill be putting it into my words.

most of my vegging plants are kept in fabric pots and are fed 70% through the bottom saucer and 30% in the top.

Energy is used only, for the most part, in veg, alternating with straight Water of course.

Each 5 gal fabric pot gets about 3/4 gal every 5 days or so of feed water and I let the medium dry up close to wilting before hitting them with more.
Times like right now where I have plants ready to repot but no soil ready yet I don't let those plant dry out as much. when I know there is a nice thick root system already established ill keep the soil at a more constant moisture and the plants seem to love it.

I use a hydrologic RO 100 and the water is oxygenated by bubbling with an air stone minimum of 24 hrs before use.
DSC01402_-_Copy.JPG

Dosing in veg:
for young vegglings :)with 1 gal water ill mix 2.5ml tea and let that bubble in its own bucket with an additional air stone for 10-15min.
Then I add 4-6ml of energy, mix it in well and let that bubble for another 15-20mins. at that point I always have alittle froth forming, and from being an organic AACT brewer for years froth to me means ITS ALIVE AND READY :)

my "vegglings" are the plants in the 3/4gal airpot propagation pots. they are all fed with the dunk method each time. I can fit 3 pots into a 5 gal bucket and I let them set for 1-2 minitues then take them out with out letting them drip into the bucket and on to the flood table to drain. once each on has set on the table for 15 min at least and had time to finish soaking what it could I tip each one each direction to drain the water table and ensure I don't drown the roots.

Only diff in administering the feed water with the larger veg plants is that they are sitting in saucers so instead of the dunk they get the 70 bottom and 30 top method.

Dosing for more mature veg plants:
in 1 gal water ill add 2.5ml tea and let bubble as before and add 8-10ml energy.

Foliar feeding in veg is done by the book, for me I spray brix on Sundays and De stress on Tuesday and Thursday. some times ill only hit them with de stress 1x a week and that is on Wednesdays.
DSC01448_-_Copy.JPG

I use a 6oz sprayer and use a ratio of 1:1, 1oz ro water : 1ml foliar for both brix and de stress.

so in my case 6oz RO water and 6ml de stress in this pic.

in Veg most of my plants are on a 20/4 light schedule and have either LED or cfl over them so I don't worry about spraying with lights on and getting burnt leaves so much as I do in the lfower room with the 1000w HPS. Spray the bottoms of the leaves with a fine mist, no need to drench them here.

I also turn off the circulation fans and allow the leaves 15-20mins to soak up the goods.

I believe that covers Veg if not ill come back and add more when I realize it....Island Sweet Skunk has me happy and a little spacey :):volcano-smiley:

Speaking of Island Sweet Skunk here is a pic of them last night hanging in the dry rack. I run string..hemp string;) across the each rack so that I can hang them instead of laying on the side and I can put a lot more bud in the space this way. if I run out of room in each tier ill then start laying smaller nugs on the bottom of the tiers...anyways...

on to flower..........

Thx. I really enjoyed the Sage and Sour Journal, and look forward to the evolution of your perpetual system.

Ranger Danger :smokin: whats up man!

:high-five: great to hear you enjoyed the journal:), I hope to make this one better and be a bit more involved.

once I get These couple post knocked out and get caught up to date in my thread here im gonna be hitting up my subbed threads and new ones such as yours Ranger and get out and share some love.:cheer:

Flower:

Foliar:
still spray brix on sundays and de stress on wedensdays unless they are having alittle stress showing then I hit them with the 2x week de stress. same ratio of 1:1

In flower I don't let the pots get dry at all, I water/feed every day to EOD depending on how fast they are drinking. With the Silver kush in flower its a fairly large plant but only in a 5 gal smart pot so I water it daily to keep up with its needs.
SNS and WW are in 12.5gal air pots so they are water Every other day primarily.

Im currently in resued soil that I did recook with leaf scrap, EWC(not enough), Docs HB amendment(again not close to enough on this one) and Docs ROOTS product watered in and cooked for 5 weeks at 75-80 degrees.

The soil ate up all the old roots and leafs I had in there and the plants have looked great for the first week in flower then they have just dropped off showing signs of deficiencies.

with my deficiencies and lack of nutrient in the soil this run ive had to go off the beaten path and work it out per say.

what ive done:
everything ive grown lately has been a salt loving plant, which if you follow Doc you will know they are the "least" HB loving plants(till the new drench is ready of course :)), so I started out with Epsom feeding at 1/2 tsp per gal water. i gave that for a few feeds and received a slight diff but did not stop the problem. long story short(I don't suggest this to anyone, if you try, try at your own risk :)) ive found that for these plants I have needed to go to 1-1.5tsp Epsom per gal in order to get the response desired.

I also top dressed with EWC last week for each plant, about 1 inch on top and worked it into the top soil.

Same case with the energy drench amount to administer I played with it for several plants till I found what these daggum plants were wanting. and now again this is with my under amended medium!!!!

for the white widow, and SNS taking my Energy up to 20ml per gal and 7ml transplant with 3ml tea and the higher Epsom amounts I have been able to stop the issues in the SNS and the WW is getting darker green by the day :)

the Silver Kush, which I grew for my first High Brix grow ever in 1st run soil, who is looking great with its nice dark green leaves I attacked right from the start with Epsom, higher feed ratio and topped with EWC day one in the flower room. She has loved everything so far.
I mention I grew it in first run soil because it ended up having the same deficiency although a little later into flower at that time as well. other wise I wouldn't just assumingly start this plant on such an extreme regime. :)

POTS:
My pot selection tends to be airpots for flower due to the higher yields ive experienced with them side by side fabric pots and the fabric pots for vegging. It is easier to water with fabric pots IMO I just dump most of it in the bottom them a bit in top and done.
with the air pots though I have to water a bit and let it soak in real well and continue to do so slowly to ensure the water doesn't seep out the holes in the side walls of the pot. but all in all it works for me and I don't mind it, besides more time in the garden is always great time spent for me!!:circle-of-love:

Here we are with the White widow at day 18, then SNS at day 36 followed last by the silver kush at day 11.

White widow is doing real well, responding to the feeding schedule very well. The leaf damgage here is primarily from before flower when she wastnt doing the best in veg. Shes turned it around and really putting on the frost early on, looking forward to seeing how she responds to the first cat drench in 20ish days.

SNS is well...doin its thing. Growing and getting frostier but just like the SNS before here it takes till day 50ish to start adding more weight. so its slowly trodding along...really just ready for her to be done and out of the garden. :)

Silver Kush is cruzing along doing very well, not much else to say other than I sure love this plant.

so I have 2 sides in my room and I wanted to share with you whats going on on "side 2".

Has a 600w hps in the middle and 2 LED, each 160w top led on each side of the hps.

in the back left to right is 2 other pheno of ISS, then left middle and left front is blue dream. right middle is SNS and right front is Bubblegummer.

They are in 12.5gal airpots. watered from the top through little DIY emitters, and a 400gph pump in a 5 gal bucket.

I wont be keeping this side journaled but this one time altough I will discuss the buds at harvest, I just want to show how im doing what with the top drip. :)

I mixed up some new soil this weekend as well.

I ordered 2 new kits from Doc. bought 2 bales of promix hp with myco, and 60lbs of ewc then lots of mixing!!

It rained the whole weekend so I was unable to do this outside and I refused to wait any longer to start the cook sooooo..... I did it in the living room between the couches since its the largest open area in my tiny house :)

I use a shovel to bust the bales up but I do all the mixing by hand. I bust it down then top with the castings and Doc's High Brix amendment then I mix it, push it, scrap it, flip all around then fold the tarp over like a burrito several times for 20minutes at least or longer till fully mixed. I bust up all the clumps of castings and promix till there is not any. I might be a bit excessive here but its all good :).
Do that for each bale. then off the the tubs and set to cook in 72-78 degree room for 30 days. :)

I also had some recooked soil that was about 5 days from finishing and needed to get side 1 next round vegging so I went ahead and did some root trimming and transplanting.

On the first pic the lower stem was soft and no roots were coming from it so I cut it off first. then trimmed the roots back. the pots already had soil presoaked with transplant and tea drench water so I poked a hole in the top, sprinkled about 1/4tsp ROOTS powder into the hole and on the roots. then I set it in the hole and covered it making sure the dirt touched all surfaces of the stem and roots.

Thanks for chilling

wanted to share some thoughts about a recent encounter I had in reference to HB Buds:

Since thankfully recently ive had a bit more meds on hand then I could smoke from one harvest to another I was able to give some to a person I know who gets rid of a fair share of commercial cannabis. He stopped by this past weekend to hang out for a bit and I was very pleased to here what he had to say about the high brix produce...especially coming from someone who sees ALOT of weed.

things he said:
"man ive got to tell you, you have got THAT weed!" LOL
"I don't even talk it up anymore before I load a bowl, I just load it, pass it and watch their face light up."
"the smell, taste and even the high are better than any ive ever had" :)
"hands down best buds you've ever grown, in a unique way"...(personal favorite :))

Ive known that the high brix cannabis was special ever since my first harvest using the kit and that produce grown in the kit had that special something others didn't. I have read it over and over here but not until I heard it from someone in person about my buds who has had many in the past from me, it wasn't "official" in my mind.

I have no doubts anymore at all(where I had already very little since the first HB harvest) that Doc's High Brix kit grows superior produce.

Your the shit DOC :Namaste::thanks:

MORE SEEEDDDSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Another thing I wanna talk about and try to get some feedback on is my new strain selection. Its maddening how I never stop wanting new seeds/strains/varities :) as im sure it is for all of us.

I want plants that will preform in the HB soil as is with out adjustments or special drenches and so as Doc has said im going with some Landrace or as close to it as possible.

Choices are:
SATIVA-
ACE Seeds - Zamaldelica
Zamal is an exotic african sativa from La Reunion Island, close to Madagascar, famous for its extreme vigor and legendary psychedelic effect.

An excellent Zamal mother selected for its trippy effect, fast flowering and remarkable sweet carrot and floral fragrances, was pollinated by the powerful Golden Tiger in order to create Zamaldelica, a new super sativa hybrid of terrific lysergic effect and amazing vigorous growth.

Resistance against SPIDER MITE: Medium
Resistance against MILDEW: Medium
Resistance against BOTRYTIS: Very High
Resistance against COLD: Medium

GENETICS: 100 % sativa. Zamal x Malawi/Thai. POLY HYBRID.
FLOWERING: 11-14 weeks. Late October - Early November
STRUCTURE: Extremely bushy sativa.
YIELD / M2: Medium-High.
BOUQUET: Sweet carrot, mango, orange, flowers and resins.
Effect: Very strong and lysergic long lasting effect.

GROWING TIPS: Zamaldelica grows very bushy outdoors producing uncountable branches. Although this sativa shows all its potential in tropical/subtropical climates, it has also been grown with very good results even in latitudes 43N. For indoor growing for small columnar plants or SOG, start straight from clones to 12/12 just a couple of days after the rooting. This sativa is adequate for SCROG, horizontal or network growing due to its excellent production of lateral branches and its vigorous reaction to pruning

INDICA-
Cannabiogen - Pakistan Chitral Kush
Aka: PCK
Pure line from Chitral, Pakistan
Flowering Int: 8-9 weeks
Yield: Media / Average

Resin Seeds Cannatonic-
gives you the best of both worlds with this wonderful variety - a phenotype selected from the hybrid cross between a female MK Ultra(F1) & the all time famous G13 Haze male. Cannatonic is 50% indica and 50% sativa. One of the added advantages of our specially picked Cannatonic cannabis seeds is that it flowers in around 70 days. For information purposes, its THC content is between 1:1 ratio of CBD/THC. About 6.2/6.9 and the yield it produces is 500g m2. Harvest outdoors is October and its yield is 250-400 per plant. Grows like an Indica, smells like a Sativa, Cannatonic renders you.

not landrace but I want some true meds for some family members pain and myself so going with the high CBD cannatonic.

today ill be spending more time in smoke/grow reports to see if I cant change my mind AGAIN :)

Whats everyones thoughts??????:passitleft:
