1st Time Growing Weed

Hello guys, first of all, i have no clue what strain my seeds are since they were given to me by someone.
In December 1st i decided to germinate 2 seeds and only one survived until now.

As all newbies i made some mistakes, and the first one was to attempt to grow weed in a cardboard box 22ft by 13ft with one CFL light on the top. Obviously what happened in the first 2 to 4 weeks was barely nothing.. the seedling just stretched to much because the light was to far away.

So at this time, i knew the stem was to tall and i decided to put the plant deeper on the soil so i didn't had to use sticks to sustain its own weight and in my head i tought the roots would have more chance to develop around to pot if i had didnt do this. I also removed the first 2 leafs of the plant. This was done in january 4th, so in basicly one month after germination this is what my plant looked like.

After this, i decided to change my grow place, so intead of the box i decided to use my Fish tank that i do not use which is 33ft by 12 ft and in the last 10/12 days, the result are better than ever!

Temperature usually is between 20ºc and 26ºc and humidity usually goes around 47% to 60% but usually 47% to 50%, when i water the plant it goes up to 70%

At the 8th day of January i watered the plant and cut the 3 pointed leafs so the energy would go to the 5 pointed leafs.

So yesterday i went to bed, all happy the spot was cool and the weed looking healthy, when at 6 a.m i wake up to see my lights fallen up on top of the plant, causing really ugly burn look to thew leafs and one of the branch is totally dead, like he goes down with his own weight. Cant understand if it is broken or simply weak due to the burn :( here's the pics...

I hope this do not kill my plant, as i think i was getting it in the right path... appreciate any kind of advice from you guys. I use CFL's, now i'm currently with 3 lamps and one blue lamp around. I will post photos from outside so you see the door. I also have a hole to the hot hair go out. cheers

They are pretty resilient, looks like your new growth is doing well even after having your light do a Body Slam on it (kind of have to go by new growth as damaged leaves rarely improve).

Hey welcome to the community!

Your looking great for a 1st grow! Mistakes will happen but don't beat yourself up if they do. Like it was said before they are resilient plants for sure, they are weeds after all! They will bounce back for sure.

I think your doing a great job on documenting your journey so far. Keep it up, or as we say "Keep It Green" :goodjob:

Hey Alien, You should name your plant "Lucky" after that famous three legged, one eyed, broken toothed hound dog with the same name. Your plant must be indestructible. Yes, pray for little white hairs not little bally things peeking out of the nodes.
Show me a person who has never made a mistake and I'll show you a person who has never done anything. BTW, was that inches or feet?
Happy growing,
:volcano-smiley:

Well thank you man haha i think you are right after all! Well before i tied it up for training since i cant have a big plant (small space) she was about 20 cm... i know she is taller than that since i had to burry her deep in the pot before new years because she streached to much when young.. in a total she is about 30 cm i believe.. right now being horizontly tied up she is 13/14 cm. Cheers :)

Hello guys, so im here 30 january with new pics and questions..

First of all i realized my temperature in the grow room was about 29° celsius so i know it is to much, and some brown spots appeared in some leafs, here are the pics:

420-magazine-mobile166502275.jpg

420-magazine-mobile351440977.jpg

420-magazine-mobile1076009321.jpg

So are these due to the heat?

And now about topping as i said before i toped my plant 2 times:

1st one

420-magazine-mobile689093103.jpg

2nd one

420-magazine-mobile1094967346.jpg

And now i have 4 tops in these ones..

420-magazine-mobile78557055.jpg

Question: should i top this tops so it give me more in some weeks or should i stay god damn quiet? Ahaha

Besides those 4 tops i have more 4 but 1 of them is damage due to the falling lights weeks ago so im counting on 3:

420-magazine-mobile95719614.jpg

So i have 8 tops in my plant..whats the drill now? Should i top/fim them? Should i just let it grow like this now? Thanks for the time people, appreciate the help!

Cheers .

Hi Alien,
I read it twice, I read it twice Oh, I already said that. I have seen photos of a very few huge colas on one plant and other plants covered with buds. There is an infinite amount of herb that can be grown with known amounts of nutes, temps, water, air, light etc. You choose 10 bigger or 20 smaller colas per plant. Some scrogs have only one cola per plant. . Your choice.
Happy growing

No Nutes?
Hey Alien, They are looking good. You might watch for nute deficiency especially nitrogen later in flower. If there are no open boxes hiding in the potting shed, I have heard of growers getting by with tomato and cactus nutes which are cheap like borscht at the dept stores.
Happy growing,

I'd be reluctant to top it again, she's had a bit of a rough trot so far by the look of it.
Them spots could be rust spots, they make a product you can spray on them, i dont use
it though and usually dont get many problems with my plants anymore so probably
not the person to ask.

I'd be tempted to remove a few of the ratty leaves and start lightly feeding her.
Saying that, i have no idea whats in the media. Looks like hydroton and coco?
She will need nutrients if thats the case, there's no goodness in coco.

I'b de tempted to mix some weak nutes,a whole bunch, set the ph and give
her a week to sort her shit out and recover. and just water her daily. Have you got enough light in there
too?

Hopefully you can work it out. Not sure on this forum but some mods crack the shits
if you quote pictures, especially your own. Just an fyi ;)

And also 29c isnt too hot. It's almost perfect ive found.

Good luck ;)

Hey Alien,
I look at sick plant pics and imagine my ladies have contracted everything bad, that is before consuming any vegetation that might cause me paranoia.Have a look at this site: Cannabis Phosphorus Deficiency - See the Symptoms & Get the Solution! | Grow Weed Easy

Hi brother! First of all thanks for the time.
By what i understand you think i am growing this plant on coco but no im growing it in normal soil! I can tell you the soil components when im back home. :)

I gotta study a bit about nuts thing and gotta have some money for them.. to be honest i dont think this plant will ever receive any nuts...we will see!
Nop not topping anymore, i fell she has been topped enought. All i did was FIM those tops 2 days ago before puttinf her to flower in a week or 2.. today is waterong day (7 days since last water) soil is light, pot is light, leafs look hungry for water. Later i will post some more pics. Ok i tought it was to hot. Last week temperature flatuate between 24/29 celsius and 16/18 celsius on dark.

Cheers
