Battle Of The Mars Bars: FC3000 vs FC-E3000, Sponsored By Marshydro & Weed Seeds Express

Howdy mate. Those lights man
Healthy roots and health plants. Your gona nail this grow..
Whist there's nothing under the Mars bars. Whip your kit off and use the tent as a stand and tan. it's certainly bright enough in there..:laughtwo:.

Still seeing stars.
Mental note dont be taking any more pics looking at the lights.
Ye the DNA has monster roots will be cloning her for sure.

Got to add another fan to my intake or the lights will never hit 100%.
Maybe when it really drops in temp but no chance now.
Even with the drivers of.

That's something to think about, "seeing stars " we really should have sun glasses on whilst looking in their, we don't know what damage they are doing to our eyes...
The temperatures are dropping quickly mate, you might be surprised. The DNA is defo going to be a strong plant, I would definitely keep her going..

Well today is the day.
Last Shot of the ladies in old pots.
The trip to mars starts today.
They also won’t be looking like this much longer.
Time for some training.

Some Training done.
More about trying to use all my grow space.
They sure do look unhappy after the move.
And the training. ;)
The lady in the middle is for my wardrobe.
As soon as it’s free I will move it out.

Ye going to be a tight sqeeze with 4 in there so plant abuse is a must.
Great training there, brother :thumb:
Thanks for dropping by.

PS. sorry for anyone who is not an abuser of plants.
This grow is going to upset you. ;)
:p

Looking great and amazing lights! Late to this one but :ciao:

I'd love to be running those lights in my MH 5x5! I'd prefer two of those style lights in mine and get the drivers out. Although, LED panels can still put out some series heat.

I had to skip ahead but did you install the drivers on the outside? Heat was a killer for me during the summer. During my mild winter, I should be fine. Unfortunately, I cannot remotely install my driver which does suck.

Also, in one of your pics your lights are all the way to the top. Are they like that now? Or do you drop the lights and raise them as they grow? Thanks and Blessings!

Drivers are mounted on top of the tent.
On a peace of wood.
I put supports in the tent to support the weight of two.
If i had the drivers in there i got no chance of turning them up to 100%.
I have a 6 inch out take fan with filter in loft.
And 5 inch drawing straight from out side.
Will do a few tests tonight
Lights of right now and its cold outside 19.5C
Lights on im at 26c with both lights at 75% thats mid tent.
By the ladies lower down its around 24c. (got to adjust fans in side)
Lights will stay at the top prob and i will just use dimmer.
Its only a small space 170x60x200.
Will update soon with a few temp pics.
I also have them running daisy chained up.

Any other info i can help will more than happy to.
PS. my drivers are a lot cooler out the tent then in.
And under a board with the legs the wood does not get hot at all tbh.
One of my first tests just in case dont want to start a fire etc. ;)
Forget sometimes that the lights together are 600 watt .
:snowboating:

So top of the tent.
It’s got siding doors in front of it.
So you see nothing on top
Love my stealth growing.
And as you can see para me put sound proofing around to.
As i did at one point use the space as was not tent in there.
My spare room and if the other half new all the modes i have done i would be in sh~t street.
I have put her of painting etc now for 4 years.
Dont know how much longer i can hold out she wont be happy i put holes in the rooms roof.

FC3000 TEMPS AT %100 (after 3 hours on)

Driver temp 34.3
Driver hot to touch No Warm
Bar temp middle bar 36.4
Bar temp outer bar 34.8

FC-E3000 TEMPS AT 100% (after 3 hours on)

Driver temp 35.3
Driver hot to touch No Warm
Bar temp middle bar 32.1
Bar temp outer bar 31.0

Well the temps on the bars of the FC3000 seem to get hotter.
Is that the replacement i dont know only time will tell.
But looks like the FC3000 bars do run hotter.
Also i noticed when daisy chained the FC3000 driver runs cooler when not at 100%.
Another strange one at a guess the % on the two models may be different on a meter.
Example at 75% both lights my guess the FC3000 wattage wont be as high as the FCE3000.

To much like hard work taking pics with a lazar gun in my hand.
So added a pic so you know what i used. :)

Moved the lights closer with the weather and the extra fan moving air the black one think I’m good.

Lights are now at 31 inch at 50%.
Save some electricity.
24c at plant level.

Will up the lights to 75% when I see how they like this move and again to 100% backing of when needed or moving close when called for.

That's a great setup with the drivers on top! I wish I could do that with my Bestva lights. Looking great and so far good temps. Do you follow the VPD charts by chance? I was encouraged to see that some higher temps could work as long as the RH is in the right spot too. Seems like you're not going to have too many issues with heat this winter!

Wish i could control my space like that.
Seems like to much drama co2 and finding the sweet spots with fan controllers.
So no mate VPD chart is not something i use.
In early flower i just keep the r/h around 60.
Late flower 50ish and im happy.
Maybe if i bought a PAR meter i would try. ;)

Yeah, I feel ya about all the extra stuff in the tent. I had no choice but to add an A/C unit to my tent. Mine got up to 96°+ a couple times. Thankfully, the humidity was low enough but it could have spelled disaster. I got it dialed in for a while in flower but a few misc equipment/ network glitches and it would get a bit cattywonkis (Did I spell that right? Google is stupid this morning. )

No PAR meter for me either. I'm exclusively using the Photone app on my android and calibrating it to the manufactures PID numbers. Then I have a good generic PPFD/PAR number for the canopy.

If it works dont mess thats my motto.
Im not into experimenting i just want to grow good bud.
Dont need to be the best or biggest buds etc. :)
As long as i catch a high and like smoking it , i did my job growing it.
Like buying a par meter if i cant tell by now if my plants like the hight of my light.
Or im having issues with the PAR map being to high or low then i need to stop growing.
That being said i would use one just wont pay for one.
I wont waste money on my hobby anymore i have all i need.
If a nice sponsor wants me to test anything im in.
But i wont buy another gadget just to say i got it.
Been there and done it for a good few years.
Something needs to break now to be replaced. ;)
And floor space for me is a struggle so no room for AC units.
I got a humidifier and dehumidifier thats about it.
And a mini radiator for when its cold.

Not to happy i think i mixed up a bad batch of nutes.
Pretty sure they had a double dose of B.
Hoping with the flush i give them things turn around.
So looking over watered and sad.
The move and the nutes issue has hit them hard.
The dna dealt with it all like a boss
