Closet DWC Blackberry Nov. 15th 2010

Came out to about 42g from the two plants, most from the larger one. This does not include product sacrificed for quality control measures and those used for hash=) I'm satisfied with my first harvest, which i now in jars at about 57% humidity. I'm now starting on hempy grow that I will be using to gain quick experience using 12/12 from seed. I might start a journal later on if I have the time. Later :peacetwo:

These are some photos of 2 KC brains mango, and two spliff seeds blueberry.
One of each was started around april 1st, and one of each again about two weeks later. There was one more which was a bagseed, but it was a male so I culled it. Thats 4/5 females, and the BB were fem. They already stink of blueberry very strongly, I love it. They were much cheaper than other BB also. Now to the pics. I am aware of a mg. def, at first thought it was burn until the margins started curling in, I ave been adding Magnesium sulfate as needed in the form of epsom salts, technoflora sugar daddy, and CalMg. Girls have been on 12/12 from seed, except the older two were on a 14/8 for the first 2 weeks to let the other catch up a little.

I am happy with these temps, I would flower with the 250 or 400 hps, but I do not have an AC unit yet and this is just easier for my test grow of these strains before I start a perpetual scrog with them. Just hoping the RH doesnt go up to 70 again.

Some new updates, I've got over 20 strains and almost 60 seeds total now so I think I've got some variety =)

Im stoked on those

Now for the budporn, the ladies are tied up nice and tight, this makes them fit under the light better and even out the canopy. The plant that is just now producing frost is stretching like crazy had to tie her down twice; but she looks like she's slowing, I would keep finding her wrapped around a bulb! Can't wait for the blueberry, smell is awesome, I definently need a mom of this stuff! The small mango is so cute and tiny, but at least she's a little frosty too!

I must say they are looking way healthier than my last batch, thank the green god for OC+

Nice job for a first hydro:high-five:.. BUT damn only a little over 1 1/2 oz's from 2 plants combined... you should try the organic method its tons easier for a new grower because at the rate your going with hydro you aren't reaping the proper benefits of faster growth and developement, your blowing too much money on vacuums and co2'gen and R/o and all that crap, its beneficial stuff but nothing beats good ole proper maintenance, alot of TLC and show RESOLVE with your nutes LESS is always better, the plants looked like they HAD little of those things i mentioned. You have to get your shit Dialed in above everything else..Number one growers rule..Keep It Simple Stupid aka the KISS method

Severe Nute burns like what you had slows A PLANTS GROWTH DOWN TREMENDOUSLY hence you having massive roots on puny plants it effects final yield which is why your veg and cloning took Sooo long..Dont mean to come off negative, but its the only way to gain helpful experience by knowing what went wrong..and alot did from your own account.

Would love to see a new grow I know you'll pull some nice numbers harvest wise with more practice.

:goodluck:

Thanks a lot che, and yes the yield was not desirable at all. It was my first grow, I no longer count my very first grow in soil as I simply didn't know shit about growing any kind of plant let alone mmj. Im not saying I am an expert now, I just have passed the initial leap in horticulture and man am I hooked now. :reading420magazine:

To be fair, I had a runt who yielded about 6g's :whoa:, but no doubt I was the one who stunted her learning with chemical nutes mixed with too little time preparing for the heat of an HID. You better believe I was in there multiple times daily nurturing those girls.

My more resilient girl yielded about 1 1/4 ounce and exceded my expectations, but the taste, smell, and general healthiness of the plant are no where near a modest and simple organic setup, that no one can argue with.

I totally agree with you, about everything actually, especially with less is more on the nutes part I couldn't agree more after burning the shit out of my blackberry.

I did spend a good amount of money on my equipment, but you know how much it cost to support cannabis use, I would spend double in a year what I invested for this.

I have made great strides in dialing in my environment, it is too bad I was not prepared enough to get it done BEFORE I started my first grow. My goal is definently quality, not quantity, but yield does matter so it is not forgotten.

From the sound of your post I don't think you've seen that I am continuing this thread with my newest journal, Blueberry and Mango Hempy under a t5. I know it is nothing to get excited about with only 20k lumens but it is just a result of my interest in increasing my quality before I try and push the yield. Now that I know I can grow without burning my plants, my next step is to
1 obtain a mother plant or two of desired strains
2 clone them
3 scrog the clones

I will have quality down, and with a screen and a good environment, I should be able to actually get a decent quantity of exquisite medicine, hopefully.:yummy:

I appreciate your advice greatly man, I know my hard work will pay off eventually, thanks for the words of encouragement and thanks for stopping by.:bongrip:
Sorry for the rant, gotta love 420.

Had to chop the girls as a self preservation method, 2 were done, 1 was still forming coudy trichs but thats ok. I have since dismantled the grow room and the boxes are in storage for now, I am going to have to lay low for awhile, but its ok I believe I am in the clear for now. I have some pics of the buds drying, they were hung friday and I jarred them yesterday. They were a little crispy but I am hoping the jar takes care of that, great smoke too. Pics and smoke report when I get time.

Thanks for sharing your grow with us!

Don't forget to head over to the 420 Strain Reviews forum and post your smoke report there too! :cheer:

I’m moving this to completed journals now.

Have you started a new grow you would like to share with us?
