Partial update, rest to follow tomorrow with some pics.
I visited my new space today. The drive was murderous with a few less than convenient detours. When I got there, I noticed the structure was pretty far away from anything and nestled nicely against the edge of a forest. The foot print I will get to work with is 7'6" x 8'10" and a sloped ceiling from 8'4" to 6'5". This is IMO great for me to stretch out 2 sexy bitches in flower, about 6-8 in veg and even a spot to put a 55 gallon drum for the RO water. I'll have to trench in the water and power, plus insulate and sheet the insides and Panda Film everything to get it nice and cozy, but being so close o the elements in the northern winters, I really feel good about maintaining optimal air and water temps. In spite of all the $ I will sink into this project, I don't expect to use the location more than once maybe twice. Ultimately I'd like to get into something I can call my own for when my state goes green, I can have a fighting chance getting into a business that I'd actually enjoy doing, and hopefully that is far enough out for me to get good at this.
Last night, I was inspired by a thread to dd vinegar to my res to get my ph down, but when I added a capfull, the ph of my res plummeted to 4.3, so I added some ph up to a half filled solo cup of res water, and poured it into the drain pipe to the res. Cycled the system and checked the ph, 5.3. repeated this process again and it hit dead nuts 5.8. Upon returning from my journey today, I opened the closet for a sneak peak and noticed everything everywhere was a pretty stable shade of green. Nute burns appeared to have went into remission which is great. Tomorrow will be the last feeding before the lights go off for 30 hours, then back on to 12/12. I want to completely suck out the old res with my 550 GPH pump and replace everything in that system, but I want to flush it first with just water and H2O2. Would it be ok to do this with tap water? Also will probably flush the soil mix as well as I have been feeding it 50% gro and bloom, 100% micro, 100% silica and 100% H2O2 as of recently. Maybe it would be best to enter everyone into flower with cleaned roots.
Oh, the root in the hydro don't look so hot. They have a slight yellowish brown tint, well the site nearest the door in the pics. I assume all plants show this way though as they share the same space. Research has shown me that ALL plants have pythium, but if cared for properly, this can be kept in remission with no symptoms, which then tells me I'm not doing everything right. I will get some pics tomorrow of everything and post back.
