Greetings and Salutations, I am from South Africa so at the start of summer 2019 month October found to little plants started sprouting through with my other garden plant marigolds etc. I decided to continue to give it much needed Love and today going into week 5 Flowering. I would never thought I would be 2 weeks away from my first harvest. Yes I am not grower and enjoy the recreational side over the years. Please find my pics from just the ordinary stoner give to little plants much Love. Respect & Peace

Welcome. Some nice looking Sativa there.
Thanks Doc, this just pop out of no where. Was not sure of the strain but the long thin seperated leave formation gave me some idea. Just need to get to harvest day but will be patient. Any advise on the yellow leaves, I have not been using any fertilizers or boosters just water.

I run a Sativa that does this with the yellowing leaves. Since you're close to harvest I would just let them yellow and fall off.

That's whats called senescence and its completely normal for plants to do this. Specially at the late flowering stage. Leave them fall off dont pick them off. The leaves are giving back stored nutrients and minerals to the flowers. Those big fans have already been replaced with somewhat smaller thinner leaves so there's nothing to worry about.

It's a process that needs to happen.

That looks pretty good to me. I run a Durban cross that does this exact thing. I wouldn't worry about it. IF the yellowing bothers you try a kelp and EWC (worm castings) tea.

Do 1/2 cup of EWC and 1/4 cup Kelp meal in a bucket of water. Stir let steep overnight and water in.. That will slow the yellowing.

The plant is using up the stored nutrients and energy in those fan leaves to make bigger flowers. Gonna be good in another week or so.... steady as she goes.

Man I’m so jelly, sometimes I wish I lived in a warmer climate where I can grow out doors:straightface: preferably near the equator where there is a 12/12 ratio all year round XD

Welcome to 420magazine! Great to have another south African! Beautiful plants and the yielding nicely!

Welcome from cape town. Lots of us saffas here . @Smeegol @Strainyourbrain @Dkmg01 @Rhys777 come say hi to a brother.

Nice plants man, still a bit before harvest I think.
Greetings @Lerugged please advise me. Going into week 8 flowering bare in mind both plants were fed with organic fertilizer not much neither given much nutrients only since Sunday sample of Bloombastic and daily water. Hope the pics can help you advise this a basic 5month grow now. Should I wait longer seems the water intake is just running through as root is very dense and visible. Any help will be appreciated

Looks like you have a few weeks at least. You want about 70% or more of the white hairs to go brown and the calyx to swell. Have you got a strong magnifier or jewellers loupe to check the trichs? For a sativa like that personally I'd harvest when 70% are milky and at least 15% Amber. The rest clear. Sativa can take longer than 9 weeks with most being ready around 11 or 12 weeks. Keep checking the trichs and you will be able to see max maturity. Your buds should swell dramatically in the last two weeks.
