alright guys, sorry for not telling you any updates, but shes really healthy. about 14 inches tall. Buds EVERYWHERE. putting up some pictures tongiht cause im going to florida for 9 days and ill take some pictures when i get back and we'll see how much its grown. I can't want to get back and see it. anyways, its day 64. now for some pud porn.

there are 28 budding sites.

i changed the setup a bit and added 2 extra lights to both sides of the plant.

she looks so beautiful, couldn't have done it without you guys! thank you for all your help! i wish i had more money though. definatly would have helped. i can't wait to come back from florida and have that nice smell in my room, it smells a little but not alot yet. Anyways can't wait til my next grow! im going to have a 1000w hps/mh light and ffo soil and some good nutes and soon will go to hydro. See you all soon!

im sick atm but i finally got around to taking some pics for you guys=] OK guys! its day 81, and damn. Im excited to smoke her=p haha. sorry for the long period without pictures. I accidentally dropped a pair of siccors on it...and it cut on of the branches off so i threw it in the microwave and smoked it hahaha. I felt something from it, more of a head high. Anyways here are some pictures of her.

while i was in florida my dad took care of her for me, so thanks to him! haha. While i was down there with my friend we asked this black dude for some bud, all they had was mids down there. Was hoping to get some decent bud. I showed him a picture of the plant that my dad sent me and he thought it was fake lol. He was like i dont see the buds... (maybe hes blind?)

btw, for my next grow im wondering if i should do 2 plants with a 400w hps for flowering and cfls for vegging. or 4 plants with a 1000w mh/hps system. Ill have the money for both but which would be less noticable since where i am growing is completely illegal.. and how much would the energy bill be for the 1000w? is it worth it or what?

Well 1000W will produce ALOT of heat in that small space. I have a 400W HPS in a similar space, maybe a little bigger, and temps are around 75* with a 455CFM Vortex fan for cooling. You can also use the HPS for veg if you decide to invest in a light/ballast/reflector

well see, im building a box type ting upstairs, so i want to get the best out of these baby to help pay for some bills since my dads currently not working cause of an operation. so space will not be a problem, but i found a 1000w mh/hps system. SH Hydroponics, Inc. > 1000 Watt HPS/MH Switchable Lighting System is this any good? and when else would i need for ventilation? i think im going to go with the 4 plants and 1000w system, hydro. But atm im trying to gather a total cost. Is that a good price btw?

What type of Hydro system were you thinking of running? How big is the new Set-up roughly? You can get a reflector and 400W ballast/bulb and upgrade in the future if you want more light since most reflectors support 400, 600, and 1000W bulbs. Also an aircooled reflector would help keep the temps down. Hydrofarm makes a really nice AC hood. As far as other odds and ends. you will deffinately need a good fan for cooling a 1000. Dont forget about ventilating the chamber as well. I get away with one fan for both my reflector and chamber but with a 1000W you may want a seperate fan for just light heat. Hope this helps, i am fairly new but enjoy reading as much as i can about this. Good luck!!

yeah probably good ass fans, and as for the setup, im gunna have 4 plants, so probably 5' by 5' and 6-7' high. The upstairs gets cold during the winter so i could just ventilate the heat outside the box, but in the summer it gets SUPER hot, so anyone have any ideas of what to do? i have nextdoor neighbors on both sides btw. (live in a condo) any help with this ventilation would be appreciated =] and if im using a temp/ humidity controller, is there anything else i need to buy to go with it?

If you have an attic, vent hot air there. Remember if you pump hot air outside in the winter, you will have steam coming out so keep that in mind since you say your surrounded by neighbors. As for summer, You can get window AC units pretty cheap these days and just run ducting from the AC to the inlet of your box/light. This will also help maintain a steady temp. since you arent dealing with outside temps raising and dropping. Vortex makes some good fans man, a little pricey $200+ but well worth it. If i crank mine full blast it sucks the doors of my cabinet shut and im using one fan for both the light and cabinet. If you decide to go DWC a water chiller may be needed with a 1000W also FYI. DWC is the cheapest hydro to set up IMO but i dont know your budget

well im building the box in the attic, but if i still pump out hot air into the attic even though the box is in there would the box still stay cool?

If you decide to vent into your attic and not outside, make sure your attic is ducted well. If the air you are blowing up into your attic is warm and moist , IE air from some AC units or from your grow room depending on how humid your state is and how moist your soil or hydro is. Anyway, by what I mean by this moist air, it will hit the cold air in your attic and cause a misting/rain effect if you live in a cold state. I guess if it was cold enough it would possibly snow in your attic? Ive heard of a few attics turned into ice boxes. I blew my AC air straight into my attic this summer, but I gotta figure something out for the winter and do some duct work possibly. It's 5 degrees outside where i live : (

As long as there is a way for the hot air to get out of the attic somewhere and your are feeding fresh cool air into the cab you should be good. Im sucking 30* air through my reflector at night and the exhaust ducts or even the air isn't in any way warm. If your moving enough air through the light it will barely even be warm coming out, and the reflector is cold to the touch.

nvm, i looked up in my attic and theres a vent from the bathroom out to the roof, so i can use that=] glad that problems out of the way! and right now im making a list of things im going to need, does anyone know a site that sells ff soil? since my list already costs about a grand im going to do soil for now, but with nutes and all that good stuff=] and yeah im from mass, so theres snow ont he ground atm and my attic is like 15 degress haha
