Ok, so, I decided to do the BBing today. I am doing a bit of a test. I trimmed half of the main colas, and left the others unharmed. I wanted to see the results of the next three weeks of finishing.
Here is a pic at Day 35 of flowering. Going to flower for 65-70 .

Doing half is the best way to see the results. I couldn't help but to cut em all. I would have been upset to have half fat and full and half whatever. But I'm a weirdo.

Me too, I am OCD about little things, but since this was my first time trying it, and I'm a firm believer in producing my own results rather than relying on others', I decided to do half.
If I like the results, I'll try it on my Big Bud grow.

Just wanted to post a couple pics to update, being that I have already started to see a difference in growth on the ones I tipped.
Tipped (nice and tight fuller flowers, it seems):
Not tipped (seems looser, still noticed a difference from 48hrs):

She has about 3-4 more weeks, I believe.

I Believe you can do it to autos. no reason not too.. I wasn't sure how much it would change them but theres the proof. I'm sold and will do it on everything I grow.

Another update. I will attest, it's only been a few days and the ones that I tipped are absolutely exploding!
This one is 11" long and then continues down another 5" toward the base. It's huge and started to explode when I tipped it:
The stems that I tipped have all started to connect now forming decent sized colas already, with about three weeks to go:
A full shot, lots of bud sites, nice colas starting to form:

I know I have defoliated quite a bit, so it's harder to tell, but any idea at what kind of strain she is? Or family?
I assume a hybrid, she smells super potent, lemony and a bit spicy. I dried some over a week and tried it tonight, no curing, but it's very fruity.

when is a generally good time to snip the tips for this technique? Like if you have an 8 week strain should you do it around week 4-5? and if its a 10 week strain week 7-8? just wondering as im about to attempt this technique for the first time myself.
