My First Indoor Grow

That is one beautiful FIM response

The plants are ranging from 12-14 inches in height and covering 75% of the tent floor space. I gave them a good watering just before the lights went out. They seem really happy when I checked on them after lights came back on. Tuesday will make them 5 weeks old. I am going to start the flower cycle then, otherwise I may not have space to grow them out. I have a feeling that I will end up with more bud than I will know what to do with.

I started the 12/12 schedule on Monday. They are al ready growing taller. I am going to need to get something for the back right plant to sit on, as the others are stretching quite a bit higher. Overall they seem happy and healthy.

To help minimize the height advantage of my strongest plant, I decided to do some low stress training. I am going to get some netting to tuck it under to give the other plants time to stretch. I had no idea they would be so sticky just 3 days into a 12/12 cycle. I obviously don’t have any flowers but the stems left a really sticky residue on my hands. It is time for gloves. Lol

The girls have been in flower for almost a week. I was going to try the scrog net but they are so bushy they were covering each other. So, I picked up two plant stands to make the shorter plants even with the two stronger plants. I am pretty happy with the canopy at this time. I should get many great colas.

They seem to be growing about an inch a day. I hope the stretch ends by week three or I will be having a space issue lol. The last couple days the open corners are become a lot less open. I think I will end up with a solid 2x4 foot print full of bud if their side growth continues.

I have noticed about one leaf on each plant that seems to show difficinces. I am trying to ignore them since it is one leaf per plant, and the leaves aren’t getting much light. I will keep watching them. All the new growth looks great. The Raspberry Cough are on the left with more purple leaves and the Wonder Woman are on the right. Raspberry cough is supposed to be taller due to being Sativa dominant. For now they are all holding pretty even during stretch. My R Diesel stretched good till about day 32 or so. I supercropped the hell out of it...like 14 sites.
I tried a super crop before but it went back straight and healed. I didn’t get a knuckle or anything, but I know I popped the inside and bent it sideways. Lol

Also, thank you for being one of two who interact with my thread. It means a lot. :)

I told myself that I would not do any high stress activity to the plants once I started flower. Despite my earlier lollipoping they have grown a lot of leaves way under the canopy. One actually fell off the plant and was wilted. Should I lollipop them again? I don’t want to take “the solar panels”. However, it is a small forest in there again. I just don’t want to stress them and turn one of the girls into a hermaphrodite.

I would recommend not lollipopping again.

Houston, do I have a problem? I was so excited to see my first bud forming today. Then I noticed a leaf with holes in it. I can’t find another leaf with holes, but I did see this white speck next to that leaf. I don’t know if it is a bug or not. What do I do when the plant starts to flower if a bug shows up?

I just went and looked again. The white speck has not moved, so I don't think it was a bug. I am seeing some leaves at the very bottom that do not get light turning yellow. I know the plant will feed off those leaves. But, should I water more often to help supplement nutrients since I see it is pulling nutrients from the lowest leaves that do not get light? Thanks for the advice. I am a bit surprised they are showing the initial signs of buds this early. Monday will be the completion of week 2 flower.

I had to water them today and decided to snap some pics while the tent was open. I know my grow isn’t textbook perfect, but I am quite happy how the first grow is coming along. They are all stretching at a similar rate now. The strongest one has slowed down and the others are almost even. I would still like feedback on my previous posts today, if you have an answer.

With Timber Vero 29s, when do you start using full wattage?
I am using the Timber 3VL 3500k fixture. Once I had the third set of leaves I began increasing the wattage from about 50% to 100%. I had to keep the distance at about 2.5-3 feet because it was a lot of light for young plants. That is also the distance recommended by Timber for the lights during veg. Once I had them at 100% I started moving them lower. They now sit 18-14 inches from the canopy (they are growing like weeds). They grow so fast I have to raise the lights about every 3 days right now. They are just finishing the second week of flower in a few days, so they are still in transition.
