OldManJJ Grows Again!

Update:

Big Tent, things are going along nicely. So far, there are no more signs of powdery mildew. I will verify tonight when I water and do some defoliation.

5x5 Tent. The environment is not great, the RH is too high for the plant on the right and she is having issues fending off powdery mildew. I defoliated any branch that had it below the canopy as that's where most of it was. Then I removed any fans in the canopy that had it and sprayed them again. I could use a dehumidifier in the tent but, I'm not spending any more $$. Since the two plants in there were free, if they give me too much more trouble or look like the buds are getting compromised, they will get chopped and discarded.

Everyone is having heat issues, everyone.
Except me I’m still waiting for summer.
Another freezing cold day today.
Where is all this heat?
Hope you can get it under control.
Take care.

@StoneOtter I can and will tonight when I water. I am also going to add a heater. That tent doesn't get much above the mid 70's with the lights on so I will put the heater on a timer and try to get the tent to about 82 with the lights on. Or, I can set the heater so that the temps don't drop as much when the lights go out. Then the RH with lights out should be better. We shall see.

Solid ideas oldman!

So a question. Powdery mildew keeps cropping up in small amounts. Both tents have seen a little. I have been using Safergrow fungicide, OMRI listed and removing infected fans (I haven't seen any on the flowers yet).

Should I keep rolling or is this crop a complete loss?

@Emilya @Bill284 @StoneOtter Any thoughts?

I wouldnt call it a loss until it actually is. Keep working on it, increase your airflow as much as possible, and feel free to use the fungicide up until the time when it wont break down before harvest.

StackPath

I put that for your discretion. Leave it as very last resource. I have never used it but I know it’s used for others crops label for human consumption like grapes.

Best of luck, keep the fight.

I had a Fruit Punch Auto get mildew.
I removed the bad spot and sprayed everyone with h202.
Kept her segregated just incase.
Well she is fine, no sign of problems.
So I'd say try spraying h202 on everything to kill the spores.
Good luck Amigo.

Update and pics coming tonight. I have to go and get some PPE before spraying the ZeroTol. The acid in it isn't good to get on your skin, eyes or lungs (when spraying). It has a 0 day pre-harvest interval so I'm pretty confident spraying it, with the correct PPE.

In other news, I had more Basal Cell skin cancer removed last week. Does anyone know if RSO does work on Skin cancer? Would really like to avoid the knife when it rears it's ugly head again.

Sorry I missed the call on the pm, glad you have a plan to go after it. My Dad had a spot on his leg that went away after several months of RSO. We don't know if it was Cancer, but its gone now.

RSO? Are you referring to Rick Simpson oil? The thick paste dark stuff? Wow. If so, I had no idea it could be used in that fashion. Good for you and attending to your health man! So what do you do, put it on the the spot under a bandaid or something?

@Jon Yes I'm talking about Rick Simpson Oil. I'm not 100% sure how you are supposed to use it for skin cancer. You can find more info here: Super Oils « Phoenix Tears | Rick Simpson.

On another note, I ran about 8-9 ounces of Whit Cookies trim through my screens yesterday in prep for hash. Left is garbage, middle is B grade sift and right is the good sift.

Update time!

Good news and bad news.

The good news, the big tent is showing no signs of powdery mildew.

The bad news, the girls in the big tent aren't happy and the girls in the small tent are still showing signs of PM. Now it's on the sugar leaves. Today, they will get a milk bath, 40% milk and 60% water. Frankly, I may just scrap the small tent as the environment isn't great in there, we will see.

We still have several weeks to go and a couple girls have far too many yellow leaves for my liking, perhaps it's the PM treatment.

I haven't tried the ZeroTol HC because of the PPE requirements, I mean, if you have to gear up to spray it, I'm not sure I'd smoke it after. I'll keep it around to deep clean after.

Here is the porn, any advice is appreciated!
