All depends on how big you grow them out to be, Bushy, single cola tops, SOG and the many many other ways you could do it. just make sure you have plenty of circulation in there and you should be good.

Thank you for all the replies guys, all the stuff is on the way, ordered from a new site that has amazing prices. 199.99 for a 600w Lumatek... 60$ gallons of flora nova stuff, anyway I guess I am going to have to buy some 3 gallons as I want some bushy ladies (no pun intended.. lol) I ordered my seeds, i'll be working with a new strain from Barney's. They call it "Pineapple Chunk" pineapplexskunk #1x Cheese I believe. Heavy yielder that is disease and mold resistant and finishes in 55 days flowering. So hoping I can work some magic and do it how I want. Also I ordered the 4x4 tent because after measuring I dunno if my room could handle that big of a tent w/o moving everything around = / so five plants in there and I will be arranging them like an X on a tic-tac-toe board so each has a decent amount of room. Let me know what you think! And thank you for the continued support.

Sounds like a plan, if you already got the 5Gal. buckets i would just use them, but again you may not have the same heat issues as me. The 5Gal. buckets are much cooler but if your temps arent very high this wont be an issue. Any updates on the ladies under the LED's??

I am going to go get the 3 gal's from a local hydro store
LED wise they are moving along, day 43 flowering however they are probably going to stay in there for like 9 weeks, as amazing as they do the veg the flower isnt as impressive for larger plants. Hence the 600 hps for the well larger grow. Will post up some pics here tonight for ya!SG

I just switched my AK clones over to SAGE's 3gallon bucket. They love being that close to the airstones also!!

So let me ask, if you don't mind, and I know that your current grow is not finished, but what is your feeling on the LEDs seeing as you are going HID for this next grow? what I'm getting at is, everything has it's place, and the LEDs cannot be junk based solely on your current grow, so where do you see the LEDs vs the HID?
Just curious and for the benefit of all. Your shit looks great Man, and you will also love the HID as long as you take care of ventilation properly.

I feel great about them but the thing is like most people say not just there yet. I believe in the next couple years however they will be. I mean there is all the scientific measurements..wavelengths..etc but when it comes down to it results matter. Sure you save electric and no vents are needed blah blah but is that electric cost worth the extra 2 oz's I might get off a HPS harvest, money wise and to you the grower? I would assume yes. LED is viable right now at the point where you need a 300w Quality unit like GLH or HGL at the least to maybe come close to or surpass a 400w HPS and same with 600w of LED in my mind, however I am no expert remember but judging from the 100000 threads of LED grow offs, comparisons, etc. Sure they cost the big bucks and pay for them selves but HPS's do the same but with more product in my mind. However vegging with them is amazing, I will give them that. Flowering phase is where they fall off but hopefully here in the next couple years we will all be switching. I am still new to all this but this is how I feel about it all right now have seen both grown first hand.

Hey SG, the buds look good bro. Looks like your getting lots of trics on those puppies! Way more than my soil plant and I believe they are on the same day of flower as yours. I would like to see the whole group in apic whenever you get a chance, just for some comparison purposes.
You will definately like the hps fir flowering, although it tends to stretch the shyt of the plants during transition from veg to flower. I thought at first it was just he strain I was growing, but after I put my Jack and ww into the room, they too began to blast off. It may be because I'm running 1000w hps but who knows. I thought mike was running 1000 w too and he didn't get the stretch that I have gotten. Stretch or no stretch, you will be pleased with your purchase!

Man i've been thinking of using LED's for my next grow. I think watching your grow sealed the deal. I'm planning to do a bigger grow so what do you recommend as far as LED's go. I'll be doing a 12 plant setup but using ebb and flow.

2k on lights? damn wish I had that budget lol. If you really want LED and can spend that I would say something like 1x300 2x 180 or actually a little cheaper or as much get 4x180 Spectra's. Would give you one hell of a footprint as well as coverage area, site says 475$ per so thats like 1900+ shipping so would be right around 2k. and that's 720w of solid LED's you can search it on the forums and there are a lot of journals with them. Check em out

lol Na bro thats 2k for the whole setup i.e. grow tent, lights,cap ebb and flow so on and so forth lol. 2k for light would be awesome but no lol. I'm looking to spend 500+ on LED's. If i can keep it under 1200 bucks that would be awesome.

Thing is I love my LED's but not impressed on flower because of the low penetration and coverage, i'll be posting pics of the new 600 I am running w tent and all.

Alright new setup..... 4x4x7 tent ,600w hps, lumatek 600w, 6" Eco Plus Inline, Thermo flow ducting (amazing stuff), Mag xxxl reflector (bigger than I ever thought) for the next grow 5 plants, X formation Each will get their own bucket ( 3 1/2g) and each bucket will get two 8" airstones ran by 2x 4 outlet ecoplus airpumps and 1x2 outlet for the fifth bucket. However I transfered the plants from the closet which will become an LED veg room I love my LED's but that Flower power is not there yet and I want it so hps was the answer. Super cropping had to be done on the hermie, doesn't look pretty but it grows like crazy still. temp in the tent is sticking around 80-83 however inside the tent it feels much cooler with a nice breeze from the 3 circulation fans and suction of the air. Here are he picks any questions are welcome!
