I originally put the feelers out for some clones on September 16th. I was able to pick them up october 10th. My guess is that they originally came from Colorado as clones. The source expressed some hesitance about growing from seed and was surprised when I explained that they sell feminized seeds these days!

The clones were quite a bit bigger than I would have preferred (8-10" with multiple nodes).

All 6 were in Solo cups of soil. I started them out under a 4ft LED work light and immediately started with some LST. The first battle was with what appeared to be spider mites, hit them with some Neem oil spray and things have been good since.

I officially had everything transferred everything into the coco on October 19th.

I started documenting progress back then so I'll post what I have give some back ground and pull it up to present

Thank you in advance for any suggestions and advice!

Here we go! This was the first day I had all 6 plants in coco. I'm pretty much following the methods laid out by LEDRF.
Started the pots out with a layer of sand, then the coco/perlite mix, topped off with another layer of sand to create a barrier for fungus gnats and other possible pests.

Nute mix flora nova bloom 1ml per gallon of tap water. A bit of a learning curve to get ph stable.

October 24th: the calmag can't arrive soon enough! The girls were suffering, plenty of yellowing drooping leaves. I was pretty worried about it all but I was kind of stuck until I could get what I needed.

November 4th: still working on training, things are bouncing back and filling out nicely. I upped the nutes at this point to about 3ml per gallon

November 6th: still so surprised at the day to day progress. Pretty happy with the Gas Lantern Routine, haven't seen any disadvantages. Still training a nice spread into these.

November 10th:
business as usual. right around this time started buying 5 gallon jugs of water. It was such an odd experience to throw a ph meter in pre-nutes and see that magic number of 5.8. Having to use the PH up what's a refreshing experience.

At about $6 per 5gallons after the bottle exchange I started doing the math on how cost prohibitive this could be. I started thinking about RO units but eventually decided on giving rainwater collection a shot.

Work also started on the DIY cloner. It's always fun to collect materials and try to find the time to chip away at the project
