Grandpa Tokin Grows GG4 & ASD In RDWC With Cree LED

Thanks! Have you ever messed around with trimming/topping at harvest and leaving the fan leaves and smaller, inner buds develop for a few more weeks? I know it puts the plant into stress; but I was able to do this with my last grow.
Considering the veg growth is still strong, this is what I'm thinking.

It would be nice to have the funds to get my own vacuum oven be able to make a concentrate that looks like the one I showed. It's hard to come by, and sells out quickly at dispensaries. I usually don't touch stuff that doesn't have lab info.

And, I get more of a sativa, productive high from GG4; which is why I love it so much. It has such a strong Sour D heritage.

I definitely clip tops and let the undies go longer. We certainly have two different GG cuts then. Mine put the couch lock on me for sure. LOL

You too GT and I have to add what a beauty shop you have there. I'm Jealous :thumb:

In the picture above I’m standing in my man cave area looking at the shop area. To the left is an exercise room and behind me is my grow rooms. The entire shop measures 20’ x 40’ . I love it!

Haha I don't doubt it does. It would be fun to compare results...different climates, mediums, lighting, ect.
We very well could have different cuts, too. It's hard to say without comparing them both in natural lighting.

Every hybrid I imagine affects people differently. I'd guess its a 66/33 sativa/indica based on the three different hybrids;
Sour Dubb x Chem's Sister x Chocolate Diesel

From reading, Sour Dubb is somewhat mysterious. But likely a 50/50.

And nice thread, btw; I'll hang out like a fly on the wall for awhile.

That looks like a shop I could hang out at and learn something in. I'd better put the chains on the Harley and hit the road.

We have snow so I presume you do too? Do you think I'll need to put the snow plow on the bike or will I be OK without it?

Today I decided to make some Everclear oil with some already-squished-rosin bags. They been in the freezer for a few months. So, gather round kiddies, Grandpa's going to blow up the shop...NOT!

*Warning! Achtung! Hey Hoser! This process can be dangerous and has the potential to do serious bodily harm. Don't try this at home unless you know what the phuck you are doing. The main things to keep in mind are Everclear is highly flammable and volatile. You must keep your area well ventilated and never, never, never do this near an open flame. That means no cone lighting. You have been warned.

I'm working in my shop which has two windows on the right, a door to the left, and the garage door in front. The ceilings are 10 feet and the door and windows are open to cause a cross breeze.

This is what we are working with today:

The first thing I do is prepare a cake pan with hot water, for a double boiler, and place it on my skillet at a low temp:

I then added the Everclear and let it sit for about 30-45 seconds and then swirl for another 30 seconds. I don't really want to shake all the green out of this; rather, I'm trying to make some shatter.

I then filtered it three times through coffees filters until I had a nice golden color:

After it's filtered I pour it into a Pyrex dish that goes into my cake pan-double boiler. I keep the heat on low (on my skillet 1 is very low and 6 is the highest). I set mine to 3.5 to 4 and let It slowly cook off for about 1.5-2 hours depending on how much alcohol needs to be evaporated. Today it took closer to 2 hours.

I try to not let the temps go above 140-150F during the cooking. Higher temperatures kill terps.

When it's ready the consistency is very gooey and sticky. I use razor blades to scrape all the goodness onto silicon pads. This particular batch yielded quite a bit. I did not weigh anything, but it looks pretty good:

In just a few minutes it's already starting to get stable. It'll be very stable in a few days by just letting them sit. Naturally, Grandpa had to sample his work... Tastes like a gummy bear on steroids... :tokin:
