"I want to be the very best, like no one ever was... to catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause....Mari-juan-a!"
To steal a tune from the Pokemon theme song, I want to be the an amazing grower. I just graduated from a great university with my Master's in Accounting, so I think my mind should be up for bringing a well-developing plant into this world. My goal with this grow is to yield 1 oz of bud.
Currently, I have 3 seedlings germinating - each about 6 days since planting. From what I have read, chances are only 1 of these plants will be female and worth continuing to grow.
Right now:
Strain: Sour Diesel
Lights: I have (2) 25 Watt CFL @ 6500K going 24 hrs a day on them. The plants are ~3 inches away from bulb.
Medium: They are planted in a nice potting soil (20-5-5), but only have 3"x3"x3" soil container - transplanting in a week or two to at least 3 gallon bucket. I do not have a pH or EC test kit. I plan on obtaining one before transplanting.
Nutrients: I will never say "nutes". They haven't been feed any yet, I am under the impression the soil can provide all of the seedling nutrients for the first few weeks of life. - If you want to correct me on this, please have your sources ready. I do have some 8-5-5 fertilizer waiting, and I plan on obtaining bloodmeal (and maybe even wormcastings?)
Co2: I have no supplementation, but considering adding Turbo Yeast to produce some C02 in the coming weeks. Temperature: I don't have a thermometer on the plants, but the house is at 73 F all-day. The CFLs do produce some heat, but I have a small fan that is effective at keeping them cool. The Relative Humidity is probably a bit low, and have not been monitoring it.
I will post pics, but so far the plants look great. One has a bit too much growth on top for it to support itself, but a little training seems to correct it fine.
