Jinn's Coco Hempy Harem 2014

Good morning from the east to the west my friend:).......how are you and the wifey holding up bro?.....photo update today bro......took some extra bud shots to make everyone happy:rofl:

feelin' pretty rough this morning mate, but I'll definitely swing by! Im sure the budporn will sort me out a bit.

:sorry: Jinn. I hope you feel better soon.

its one of those days with or without.
The meds help take some of the edge off though.

I hate to hear that Jinn......hey......i know a lot of guys dont like baths, but i am here to tell you with herniated discs in my back and neck.....both knees been reconstructed......epsom salt and hot hot baths are my best friend sometimes......when nothing else works LB will normally set it up for me......i go and sit in it and about 30 min to 45 min later things are feeling better.....hot water allows the muscles to relax......i dont know exactly what the epsom salt does except i think maybe calcium uptake through the pores but point is it is worth trying if you havent before my friend:)..........and Happy Munchday.....i really hope you wake up and can enjoy today bro:):circle-of-love:

Hope today is better Jinn! How was your weekend? I was hoping for a little free time for myself. This was not the case for me lol.

The weekend was nice and quiet, despite being in pain it was pleasant. Thanks for asking Rob, sorry you didn't get to enjoy any free time this weekend, I can definitely empathize after a few years in the military =p

Green, I love hot baths, first thing I did when I got back from Afghanistan was take a bubble bath and drink a bottle of wine!
But the bathtub/shower size/design in this apartment is not conducive to baths, much to my dismay.
So I've been using a heat pad and it helps a lot.

Update wise: CSSH is still fighting her calcium issue, even though Ive upped the cal/mag to 10ml. I've flushed, Ive triple checked ph, etc... its only affecting the upper leaves and only areas with the largest buds. the smaller buds all around the plants still have healthy green growth.
I'll see if my continued use of 10ml cal/mag stops the issue, as it slowed up when I did two back to back 10ml feedings.

I know it isn't a ph issue either since Pineapple is still pristine and I use the same ph pen, water, and ph solutions for both of them.
If she continues to act squirrely I'll just start the flush with her too and harvest around feb 7th (about 7-10days early)

Good morning Green,
hope all is well in your neck of the woods my friend! Things are going good on my end (minus being a little tired) and I think you're right a man sized bath tub should probably be one of my requirements!

Why do you say remove them before they die on their own Mono? Any particular reason?

That is a good question Reg as i think it was on your journal not long ago that i learned to leave them on and if i am correct it was so that the defficiency would keep on that leaf until you get it sorted out....if you pick it and it still has the def then it will move to another leaf?.......i am anxious to see Mono's reasoning....now i am confused:)lol.....doesnt take much though:)lol

Just a precaution really. I grew a ww x skunk which developed a calcium deficiency (pretty advanced) in the leaves closer to the buds. Busy with work I didn't have time for daily trimming. Occasionally the now dead leave had regressed into the small bud leaves and was lost. Made a nightmare at harvest, sifting through dead leaves in the buds.

I dare say it could also have caused some issues with the buds themselves if the calcium deficiency started early in flowering. Fortunatley my experience was not thing more than annoying :)

Hope this pic shows the leaves I was meaning and how they regress into the buds. This is very early on in the deficiency, they she was around 4 weeks from harvest.

Oh I see. You're speaking of when the deficiency is attacking the sugar leafs not the fan leafs. I had that problem in my past grows & just kept removing them but couldn't rid the plants of the issue. I kept flushing then adding nutes; a repetitive cycle.
Now I pay attention to the smallest signs the plants give me in bloom & try to find the source of it as soon as possible. I've been lucky so far & have caught everything while it's only effecting fan leaves. I don't snip them, I wait until they fall off or pull off with a gentle tug. In my opinion the plant still feeds off of them until there's not much left; then the plant discards of it. When the issue continues moving up or down the plant it's not solved yet.
