Regor's Bubba Kush Clone - 1st Grow - Test of Mental Patience

She's at 10 weeks now (since I got her), and when I got her they called her a juvenile. So I'd put her at 12-13 weeks, although it's been a rough go since I've been learning along the way :;):

I think she's strong enough now to pull a few clones at the end of the week, let her recoup a little, then turn to flowering.

Pulled her out of the tent today to give an (almost) overdue watering. It was 5 days and she was pretty dry .

32oz of 6.7ph (plain - no nutes) with a runoff of 6.1. I'm a bit surprised of the runoff since the FFOF transplant was done 15 days ago. I was expecting after all I've read that the FFOF was going to be a bit more PH stable than that.

Since I pulled it out of the tent and got a good look, I noticed a few things -
~ She has grown 2-3" in height in just the last 9 days
~ Those 2-3" really stretched the top, she at almost 21" now!
~ I accidentally had the timer set to 24 hours of light vs the 18/6 schedule that she was on (for the past 9 days)

In 4 days I plan to grab a few clones, give it a week and switch to 12/12. I guess I need to decide now if I leave it on 24 hours until I flip, or if it's safe to go back to 18/6 without stressing her.

I say start pruning and taking your clones so that your plant isnt using all its energy growing its shade leaves but in growing your cola on that stalk you got there ill stay posted cant wait to see her blossom

Correct me if I'm wrong (still a nube), but I believe I've got me a female!

She's been in flower for 8 days now, and starting to give off a nice scent along with the hairs.

Pictures suck - son borrowed my camera while on his Honeymoon in Hawaii.

I'll follow along. I've had a few stumbles on my path of growing but you have a great team of great growers on your side. They have helped me out and always make great suggestions I'll put in a few words here and there were I think I can help.

With watering I have taken a tip from someone and I lift every pot before I water so I get use to how a dry plant feels compared to a wet, moist and dry pot. Getting much better at not over watering my girls.

WOW, I just experienced something I've only read about: I achieved so much growth in 24 hours that she grew into the CFL.

Not sure if I'm happy or sad about that. Notice new growth (happy green flowers and stem versus older growth- darker leaves and reddish/purple stems).

We're two weeks into flower, and she's just exploding with growth. I moved her around a bit so the lights are a bit further away, so she may not grow as fast, but it hurt to see the burnt flowers on her :(

Still need to get my camera back from my son so I can capture some good closeups.

Wow, is it possible to have toooooo many flowers? I tried counting, but there's just too many. IS that a good problem to have? :)

Tonight was a watering night, so she got some Dyna-Grow Bloom and some fresh air. That also means some decent plant porn ;)

Enjoy !!!

In the Past I usually take off the real tiny bud sites that don't look like they will turn into much cause there just taken up grow juice from the bigger buds. Just My thoughts for what they are worth.

May the smoke be with you.

Too many flowers is only bad when you don't have a solid root structure to feed them. Then you'll end up with smaller bud sites all over, instead of larger colas. But even then it's not really a BAD thing...

But it all smokes the same.

Just keep it simple so you can enjoy the relaxation and therapy that comes with growing. It shouldn't be stressful at all. Just relax and enjoy. As you grow more plants, you'll learn more and more, it gets easier each time, and with all thaat experience, your yields and potency will probably increase as well.

Took a good look at her tonight. Trying to decide what to do, asking for advice, and I'll be doing some reading.

I just feel like growth has slowed down compared to when she initially went into flower and started growing her hundred buds lol. It's been three weeks, so maybe I'm expecting too much, but I keep reading the "growth" could double during flowering.

Don't get me wrong, the buds are growing, and the initial vertical and horizontal growth took off the first week or two into flowering. But I still feel like - from lifes lessons on other growth (fruit trees, etc...), the more fruit the plant and roots have to supply, the smaller the existing fruits will grow, or halt growth. So trimming lower buds, higher buds, buds further out of the branches vs closer to the nodes, grabbing more flowering clones,,,, or just leaving her alone to do her thing :)

I'm also going to be reading more about maybe grabbing one of the lower branches that is growing strong, that does have buds on it also.

It's all a fun, learning experience right now, pushing my learning skills to the limit, while not killing mother, and at least getting some decent buds out of my initial grow, while setting my side clone grow up for more fun, learning, and buds.
