Here's another(pause for) question.
I know when to harvest trich wise but have had many different answers on when to harvest e.g end of night cycle,mid night cycle,end of day cycle,mid day cycle. What are your views???
I am ordering bubble bags this week so i can make a bit o full melt from da cabbage. HAPPY HARVEST BOYS!!!!

Groover, funny you should bring up that question. Slappy and I discussed this very thing earlier today (Saturday afternoon our time). The lights go off at 11pm EST and back on at 11am EST. We decided that when the lights went out at 11pm Saturday night they are going to stay off until harvest time at ~11am EST Monday. We've heard conflicting things as well but thought what the hell let's give this a shot. I asked Slappy to try to take a couple of photos when the lights went out and we'll take some more when we open the cabinet door Monday morning and see if we can tell if the buds swelled any during the prolonged dark. We'll be sure to let you know what we find out.

We plan on documenting the whole chop chop process including some bud porn and root shots.

I am gonna go for early tues b4 lights on at 7am. I am planning a few pics and maybe even Groover makin Bubble Hash shots. Good time to start my Grooverlicious Thread. I was at Bunnings (our version of Home D) today saw a young guy with a 5 pack o small cfl's, a length of aluminium angle(yup just like da stuff on ya light box) and a rubbermaid tub with lid. NO SHIT.
It may have just been coincidense but piss funny none the less.

I forgot to say before but u wont have to limit to SHORTIES once i find out what's in the Bonzi Juice LOL.

We are very interested in what that magic "bonzi" mix is, hope you can find out what's in it.

Here is a shot taken last night just after lights out, for 36hrs, before harvest.(only one of the plants)

I think the buds are looking mighty fat already, they did get hard as a rock, very dense buds all around...we're excited to see what the buds in the back look like too...can't wait til tomorrow..woohooooo

18 HRS TILL THE BLADES COME OUT. I got a couple o wierd mutant buds so will be sure to start my thread n post some pics. Havin trouble thinking of a name for the thread. what do u think of "Groovers grooverlicious ganja grow"

We are a bit surprised by the results (in a good way). Our goal is always to improve our results in both quality and quantity.

We need some of your thoughts on what to expect when our harvest has completed the drying and curing phase.

The photos in the post above shows the colas and other buds on the drying box trays. The "shake/popcorn" buds are in 2 piles next to the pack of smokes.

Total wet weights are:

2 colas 93.4g
Shake/Popcorn 169.7g
Buds (minus the colas) 333.8g

Total wet weight is 596.9 grams = 21.3 oz = 1.33 lb
(that's how the SkooterClowns dozit!)

Even the small shake/popcorn have a very nice density. Chime in on what you think we can expect in dry weight. We have no idea. We'll do many bong hits to toast the one who guesses closest.

Thanks ItsChrome. This has been a fun grow and we learned a lot. We will be starting a new journal later this week. As Slappy has mentioned we will be doing 4 Papaya plants next. The snippings are just about ready.

Thanks TwistedScrotum (LOL I hope you don't mind me butchering your name). I'm likin' your guess. 9.6oz out of 2 small plants grown only under CFL lighting is a whole lot more than we could have hoped for. I hope you're right.

I was trying to do some guessing myself and I was thinking that even if 70% of the current weight is water and stems then we would get about 6oz so anything more than that would be "gravy" in my mind (again with absolutely no idea it's a nice starting point). But like I said I like your guess even more. I can't even believe we're talking about maybe a half a pound as a result of this grow.

Well slap my ass and call me Judy! Growin' your own has got to be the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

I too have done the chop and i got about 200grams o bud (shitty scales) and about 10g shakey corn. This is just a quick post.
I am all over the shop like a mad womans shit and busy as hell(I dont know wether to go for a shit or buy a new hat). I will post some pics and organise my new journal etc, when i got more time.

You guys gotta get some if u dont already(best hash ever).

LOL...thanks Groover. We can't wait to see your journal (or any pics for that matter). We plan on beginning our bubble hash production when we get our "normal" HID operation back up and running. We've set a new goal to produce massive amounts of quality hash from our grows and a large scale operation that we will be setting up is the perfect vehicle to begin making hash. Can't wait to see how that is going to work out for us!
