18/6 or 24 for veg phase?

I'm currently doing 24 hrs light but am considering 18/6. I keep hearing mixed opinions on this as some state its a c3 plants and can produce glucose without a dark period and others saying 18/6 will make a big difference with root development and in turn would produce greater yields. So whose tried both and what were your experiences?

1st you don't need to do this ... so why pay for it? 18/6 works nice costs less

The gas lamp routine is even a cheapter method for veg...

12 hours on, 5.5 hours off, 1 hr on, 5.5 hours off....

works great and saves a ton of electricity!

I will have to agree with Icemud on using the Gas Lantern routine. I've had really good results in the vegging cycle using it. Here's a link to the routine. The Gas Lantern Routine for Growing Cannabis

I do a 18/6, but whatever allows you to sleep good at night will be fine.

It's all personal preference in the end.

Currently using 16/8 for veg.

Used 18/6 in the past with good results.

24/0 i found growth to be slow & was not impressed.

i gotta go with GLR i have had great results over the last year with it,i find they grow faster,stay cooler,use less water/nutes and show sex /flower faster after the flip,jm2c
