420 Magazine's Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow By Justin Goody

I hope I get just a portion of the success your all sharing here.
You will, Nev! We were all new to this stuff at one time too- just ask questions and use some common sense, and you can't go wrong!
Do you have a journal to follow this grow?
It's in my signature- just click on "Atreum Lighting/GeoFlora Nutrients"

You’ve been a huge help to many growers around here, and I can say that from real life experience ;)

Well it only took me until page 17 (Day 26) to top this one. Cut her first nodes off and decided to top her at #5. She’s finally cruising the way I want her to.

Get some leaf mold , get a diversity of microbes for your dry amendments . Cultivate them and save them ,

"1 gram of leaf mold contains 1 million different species of Micro-Organisms. Micro-organism excrete nutrients."
This wont suit every one but it opens doors for organic growers using dry amendments , another way is all im saying :nerd-with-glasses:
As Emilya even states "it is probably impossible to have too many microbes". :ganjamon:

sorry i am obsessed now with them

Okay. It looks like you're going with the GeoFlora feeding chart. This ought to be enlightening! :nomo:
Yeah, I have seen some variation to how it is used with results on each end (light and heavy feeding). I'm with @Justin Goody on feeding lightly to see results and continue that trend. I will be getting some GeoFlora to try with the 420 GSC grow. I'm looking forward to see how simplifying my nutrients will pay dividends.

The granules don't break down quickly
I was curios of your thoughts about soaking them for a day or two before top dressing? Leach out some of the nutrients from.the granules so they spread the soil more evenly? I have done that with other granules to experiment and it seemed to benefit the plant (tomato).
Just wait till you realize how much the cruise control has been enhanced with the Geoflora.
I LOVED reading this statement! I overthink things sometimes to the point of frozen anxiety. I also go completely overboard sometimes with amendments adding this and that, then some more of this...oh...how about I add that too! By the end of the plant's life, I have no damn clue what the hell I did.

I'm excited to take some puffs...chill out...and let the GF just do its thing the whole way through.

I first condition the soil in my solo cups by using a tsp of geoflora veg, before ever adding any seeds to them. This gets the nutrients in place and the microbes already working, so the feeding cycle is going strong right from the start. From there, I will give the second dose at the two week point, and I keep that schedule going till the end of the grow. Using geoflora, I have no worries about burning my plants.
PERFECT! I am going to try exactly this. If I remember that is...

We were all new to this stuff at one time too- just ask questions and use some common sense, and you can't go wrong!

You have helped me on various questions the past couple years. I seriously mean it when I say how thankful us newbies are getting reassured and encouraged instead of being mocked or shamed. I do have to say though...some strains REALLY have the genetics to make common sense come to a screaching halt!!! :bong:

I’m thinking I may throw my hat in for the comparative grow just to get outside of my comfort zone.
I thought the exact same thing! I did not feel like I would be a good candidate for this. I was crapping on myself before even giving myself a chance. I needed to get out of my comfort zone and rise up to the challenge of growing along side some accomplished folks. It will be fun to learn and I am going to do everything possible to stay focused and positive all the way through this grow.

Good afternoon, Baked.

Just an FYI but you can bookmark Emilya's GeoFlora instructions. Just click this on Emilya's post:

I don't know what that would do to it, but I would think that it would then reduce the amount of time that it would be active in the soil, and you might run out of juice before the two weeks was up. I think it is best to always follow the directions and not try to reinvent someone else's product.

This is why I consider Geoflora to be superior to any other organic method other than LOS... its just easier. Growing this stuff shouldn't be hard.

Day 29
248B7F53-96DA-4985-9FB2-E64B7F84D743.jpeg

Well, happy Monday my friends.
She’s doing some nice spreading out, and seems to be past any problems she may have had in her solo cup. A nice shade of green, too. Seems to be on track!

Shame on you, Justin, shoving the runt out of the pic! :laughtwo:

I always heard if a kid is annoying you, just ignore it lol.
I'm not a parent, but I feel like taking away this child's screen time is the only way it will respond. It can come back when it decides to play nice.
She's lucky it's so damn cold here or she'd be outside already. Nothing whips them (hopefully into shape) faster than the sun :p

Hmmm. You don't sound like you're even "uncle" ready yet! :laughtwo:

Catch me after my morning coffee and I get a bit more empathetic.

Also, I don't condone putting any other child in the sun long term, only stubborn pot children.

I recently beat my previous Auto Best when I harvested 10oz from their Girl Scout Cookies Auto.
I have been extremely pleased with their genetics and their company overall.

Loving to get out of my comfort zone, I want to see what I can do with the PHOTO version of the same seed, in different conditions.

Along with that change, I’ll be unboxing and showcasing the new @Atreum Lighting Hydra 1000, at only 100W.

If that wasn’t enough, I’ll also be ditching my normal MC nutes, and trying out the @GeoFlora Nutrients 2 Part (Veg and Bloom) Organic Nutrient System.

They have also been kind enough to provide me with 5g GeoPots for this and future grows, and Earth Alive soil activator to try out in my soil.

The Review:
Lights like this are the future of indoor LED growing. Simple, low wattage and guaranteed to do real work for many hours without issue.

The first thing I noticed about the light was the weight. Almost unreal how lightweight this is, even in the package. The Box was unmarked/discreet, and also inside another Amazon box. Packaged well with minimal waste and easy to open. There’s a simple startup guide that will have you lit up in just a few minutes.

I have been buying LED grow lights in different applications for about 10 years. Most of them have noisy fans that clog up with dust over time, and come with very thin silly hangers and seem overly heavy.

This light is NO NONSENSE. It’s basically plug and play right out of the box, unless you want to remotely mount the controller/driver, which would set you back a few more minutes. Easy to hang, and the simplicity of it’s design makes it nearly indestructible.

Heavy red spectrum LED lights are a thing of the past. White light with the proper mix of reds and blues will get the exact results you want for yield and trichome production.

LED’s have gotten more efficient and MUCH cheaper over time, so naturally grow lights should have as well.
Don’t let the price fool you, this light packs all the punch of a light claiming way higher wattage. With a trusted Meanwell driver and trusted Samsung LED’s, this light will serve for MANY years. Not to mention the pleasing white light is easier to look at and work around, and takes much better photographs.

It’s apparent when you hold this light in your hands that it is quality made.

It’s also apparent when you turn that switch on that great things are going to happen in your garden/tent, starting today.
My only advice would be purchase a lux meter along with any light, to make sure you have the proper distance between your light and your garden.

With new LED technology, it’s much harder to tell by sight how bright they really are , and there’s not much of a warm/heat indicator below like many old fashioned ‘hot’ lights used to have.

These would also be great for commercial growing as they daisy chain together and are light to transport and hang.
This would be a solid purchase for any grower who wants to save room, and save money, while getting a powerful little package.

Pros:
Easy setup.
No fans.
No sheet metal to cut hands or bend.
Cool Running and nice looking.
THICK quality cables to suspend light, extra one included.
Perfect spectrum for flowering and vegetative growth.
Super low wattage with maximum efficiency.
Controller and driver can be mounted remotely and has an extra cord to accommodate that.
Ultra Lightweight.
Samsung trusted LED array with a quality Meanwell driver.
Great, even coverage.
Digital wattage output 1-100% readout with Dimmer.
Daisy Chain with other lights (cord also included).
Quality Warranty with opportunity to extend it by several years, and get a free gift.
Great customer service inside and outside the US.

Cons:
Nothing so far
I put her right to work and here we are, ready to go
