Bad bud!

Hey everyone, My first grow has gone bad, AAARGH!!!.

i've just harvested the top off both my snowstorms one had gone too long if thats poss with an AUTO?. I left it a couple of weeks over its due time to try and get some amber trychromes. Instaed i got foxtailing bud. It had a mild dank smell to it and was so compact that when it was broke up for drying it looked more green and vegetable looking than expected.

The other was a little further behind with more compact bud structure this had more scent to it but looked even more cabbage looking when split up.

I've left bottom buds on both still going, hoping i'll get some amber off one of them will this help any?

The bud has little effect or taste when smoked, I need to understand why I cant get good smoke, they looked awesome to me?

Pics are a couple of days before I took the top of plants off

Any ideas anyone?

What stage/ratio was your trichomes at, when harvested ?


E.g 50% cloudy 50% clear for an example.


Just had the 2nd thought on matter at hand...

If harvested when the lights where on for a period of time which can degrade THC causing less potent bud.

If harvested after a mininium of 24 hours to 36 hours total darkness the THC qualitie is higher or more potent.

Harvest now, if you have a little amber thats better than more amber so harvest now to save crop
