Budnoob2's Soil - Kosher Kush - 4-2-2014

Turned on the dehumidifier about a week ago (RH was climbing into the 60s) and set to 40% and the room's been keeping a range of 34-50%. Resins are starting to form nicely around all the bud sites and I'm happier than a pig in shit with the progress so far. Temps are maintaining 72-85 and most times I go in they're at 79 or so. Last 2 waters were just rain based tea made with earth worm castings soaked in rain water and nothing else. In total, both plants only received 2 waters with organic nutes, the rest has just been the soil amendments (calcium, soft rock phosphate, gypsum, azomite, mycorrhiza) and the rain tea for their lifetime.

A little to early to call it bud porn but here goes :)

Both of these strains take a bit, the Silver Surfer takes ~74 days and the Kosher Kush runs about 63 days and these are only about 17 days into flower.

Yeah, the KK has won 4 or 5 cups and has great reviews so I'm looking forward to tasting her but she doesn't like too much of anything so go easy on the nutrition and you'll be fine. I gave her just two very low strength feedings and she didn't like it so she's on a strict diet of water and tea only and doing very well now. She's still early in flower so I'll most likely need to add something in the future but for now I'm just riding it out because she's looking healthier than ever since I stopped feeding.

I have smoked many, many different high quality buds, I'm one of those go and try everything that the dispensary has in stock kinda guys... and Kosher Kush was just amazing, def in my top 5 you will love it

I know it's going to be amazing - the KK is going to be my night time medicine and my SSH is going to be my daytime medicine. Will take my first sample from SSH at ~20% amber and at about 30% for the KK and final harvest will most likely be around 30% Amber for the SSH and 50% Amber for the KK - we'll see how it goes.

So a little more detail on my water and tea pattern so far for the record so I don't forget. Pattern has been 2 tea and 1 water with 5-7 days between each one. So 1.5 liters of tea per plant, skip 5-7 days and 1/5 liters of tea again, skip another 5-7 days and 1.5 liters of water each. Have been fortunate to be able to use all rain water for tea and watering so far thanks to my rain barrels. Haven't used any nutes since mid-late veg and even then only used a small amount of organic stuff twice for the KK and went up to 3 times with the SSH and decided to stop with her too since she doesn't display any signs of needing anything and the KK health improved dramatically since stopping. My tea is simply 5gallons of rain water with ~1lb of worm castings soaked in it so nothing fancy there. I do use aeration in my tea not because I dream of all the oxygen it adds but to avoid stagnation as I keep it there constantly. If you really want oxygenation then the best thing is a large surface area and a drip or fountain type of system, hence why a shallow but larger surface area aquarium with surface jets or a drip filter is healthier for your fish. I will post pics on Friday to keep the weekly pattern alive and I think you'll agree the girls are doing just fine :) :peace:

Note to self - Friday = Day 35 of flower, not sure what I was smoking when I labeled those earlier uploads as Day 33 :)

You are 2 weeks ahead of mine. Did ya see my new pics from yesterday?

Hey Budnoob!! Gorgeous looking plants, photos, heathy leaves!!! amazing so far!!

Kosher Kush is an amazing strain, I never have grown it but have a buddy up in Humboldt that has, and it is very tasty, and extremely potent! I definitely will be following along! Bravo!!!

Hey Joe, last pics I could find were from 6/9 and yes I did see those - are there more that I'm not seeing? Looking good by the way, wish I had room to grow more than a couple at a time :peace:
