Copperrein's 1st Hydro & 3rd Ever Grow: Blueberry Cookies x2 Winter 2020

I got this frosty pic by letting sunlight in thru the window and pulling the plant out of the tent. That might not be doable with a hydro plant?

omg look at those glands! They almost look like hoar frost.

Moving the plants isn't currently doable....once they get chopped I plan to put the nicest in the light tent and try some classy stuff.

Blueberry Cookies day 97
Flower Day 38

Left: pH 5.3 (down. 4) EC 2.527 Water level: 11.25" (down .75")
Right: pH 5.4 (down. 4) EC 2.648 Water level 11" (down .75")

So um pH dropped almost half a point since yesterday morning. Solution only dropped .75 and EC stayed fairly the same. Any idea what's going on and how I should adjust?

Plant porn....I think I'm getting closer to decent sugar shots:

And root porn:

Thanks for watching :tommy:

Those buds have really accelerated in growth over the last week. Impressive. Do things need adjusted if your getting results like this.

Up your PH whenever it drops below 5.4 (many would say 5.8). If it continues you can tackle it two ways that I know:

The tried and true, a res change
Or
Just bump your PH up to 6.0

Usually that'll kick start them, or at least give you a buffer zone for PH drifts.

I've run into it, and seen others run into it. It's something to keep an eye on for sure.

Then again, I'd be love to hear what more experienced growers think

(thought I'd throw my 2 cents in to say :ciao:, plants are looking great!!!)

I'd like to keep everything between 5.4 and 6.0 right now. I don't want to go take a bong hit and forget what I was doing while my girls suffer :D It's a classic move for me to stop running the race as soon as I see the finish line. Discipline! :tommy:

Thank you thank you! Hope you're doing well with the move.

I guesstimated numbers using old nurse's math and ended up doing the following:

Starting numbers:

Left: pH5.3 EC 2.538 - Right: pH 5.3 EC 2.625

Fixing Solution: 3 gallons well water adjusted to: pH 6.5 EC 2.9
I estimated 3.5 gallons left in each res. (I try to start them at about 4.5gal)
So I took 1/2 my fix solution and added about 3/4 gal to each
(saving half for an oops or something...I keep a little solution from each res change in case something goes south in the middle of the night)
Ended with:

Left: pH 5.8 EC 2.714 - Right: pH 5.8 EC 2.721

(for anyone just joining yes I know my EC is scary. It's working tho so.... Don't rock the boat, baby :peace:)

Hitting those numbers with some dusty math first try made my morning. Precision is hawt.
This is gonna be a quick one because six more seeds popped for my outdoor grow. I need to rehome them now. Then I wanna try to make a 'Canna Cotta' aspic for my birthday :D

Howdy do.
What camera are you using. As those shots are crystal clear
We just got it....it's a Nikon D5600. I'm a Pentax girl so I've never shot a nikon but OH MY GOD....it's a touch screen! AND it goes to F36....and it's just fucking amazing. The camera was all the man's doing and he did well. Holy shit, I can even control it with my tablet. Once I clean the window, I wanna set it at the bird feeder and just be a slovenly lump on my couch whilst getting keen birb shots

Nikon are fab. They make amazing lenses. I'm still using an old Nikon d3200
It's old but works. It's that old the memory card is the size of a cigarette packet..
Be nice to see some wildlife pictures:thumb:
But your new set up is taking awesome pictures. You could tell the difference straight away

I did a dumb: I had my fans off last night in the tent while messing with the new camera. Forgot to turn them on again and the lack of airflow combined with the heat lamp scorched two buds. Pre-decarbed!

Other than that, girls are happy:

That's awesome. Loads of people don't rate Nikon and prefer Canon.
But you can't beat the ease of use and the quality of the lenses.
I think you will be winning a few contests with photos like that.
I want one:(
Thank you. This isn't even a camera...it's like a camera simulation program in a camera-shaped computer. I know the advancement of technology is logarithmic but holy crap...I can only assume we'll have holodecks in our McMansions soon enough.

Nikkor is sexy shit...always has been.
I really really want the little stash jars. They're really cute. Also... *cough*420MagazingRollingTrayWouldBeSoEpic*cough*

Sorry I keep bumping my post with multiple entries. I'm in day three of an insomnia spell and am very scattered (but feeling really creative and productive...like zombie Karen...but less angry...live, laugh, eat brains)

Zamnesia posts some really amazing budzai photos and it's inspired me to start yet another project:

I'll get her good and rootbound a few times with replants until there's strong enough sub-surface roots to train over some Dover flint the man ganked a decade or so ago. At least that how I think it goes :D
