You'll be amazed at the difference after the cure, It's not the same smoke, it's into another realm! I couldn't believe how the SD came out after the cure, at first I thought they were a bust, now I love them.

Last night I tried my buddies White Widow Max, he chopped this bud at least two weeks early, a bowl kicks my butt! I can't wait to see what it's like after it's finished properly, dried and cured. If the preview is indicative of anything, this will be amazing!

And we've got a mother plant of the WWM going! I'm a happy man.

That WWM & WWxBB is what I've been smoking lately. It's STRONG, eh? It works well for my migrains if I smoke alot, but keeps me awake llike coffee. I'm about out though so I'm gonna have to break down and hit up the local dispensary. It's ok I guess, try something new, but my Cindy99 will be done in 3 weeks (Optimisticly) and I CANT WAIT TO TRY THOSE NUGS!!

The wind here on the front range has been nuts lately! How about your neck of the woods? Makes babysitting visiting family a pain in the ass! I always take them up to some mountain tourist trap and let them roam around and buy crap... Not this time LOL...

Not much wind here, but I woke up to snow on the ground again! And there's a winter storm warning up for tomorrow! I was really hoping for some nice weather for my family coming up, but oh well, we take what we get!

I'm thinking the tourist traps too. We'll probably spend at least one day up in Aspen, I haven't been up there for at least 7 or 8 months. We'll go to the pool and my niece wants to go snow boarding, but I can't help her out there, we'll have to get her an instructor.

I do love it here! even with all the crap like rising the taxes an electrical, still is a paradise in a lot of way'sand even better if they leglize.

Legalization would be great, I feel more states would follow soon after.

What do you guys think will happen to the prices on grow equipment... seeds... clones.. and the overall price on marijuana if it were to get legalized??

I'm assuming that all the prices will skyrocket up for a second... and then drop down unbelievably low, making it almost impossible to turn a profit on growing it.

Im sure that once its been around for a second and becomes more socially accepted that the big corporations will take over it, just like the big alcohol companies like Budweiser and Miller.

I read something a while back about some major marijuana activist/seed manufacturer that was selling seeds to the US and the US tried to extradite him to the US to be tried for it. Anyway.. this guy... forgot his name was speaking of something a long the lines of lifting the penalties and consequences of marijuana use and sells in the US, but not making them legal. So marijuana wouldnt be legal, and it wouldnt be illegal. I guess it would just be frowned upon by society, but you can still do it if you choose. He explained that doing that would keep marijuana out of the large corporations hands and prevent them from taking over it, with all of there millions in marketing and what not, while still allowing you and I as growers to continue as we are, possibly making a living off of it, while employing others to help cultivate it... and at the same time no one goes to jail or gets harassed for it.

I know everyone has there own views and there own reasons... but when I read that, it sounded like a pretty good solution to me. You dont make it illegal, so people wont be persecuted for it..... and you dont make it legal, so corporate America cant take it over and get richer than what they already are. I dont know about everyone else, but I rather enjoy making a few bucks off of what I grow. But then on the negative side of that... there's people that seriously need marijuana, that cant afford it. I say throw it in its own category, between legal and illegal... drop the prices to make it more affordable and then every one stays happy.

Yeah... thats exactly who Im talking about. I was trying to find the article before I wrote that big ol novel that I wrote, but couldnt find it. When I do, I'll post a link to it.

And yes... he was trying to fully legalize it a while back, but I think he may have had a change of heart or something, because what I read was pretty up to date.

Someone was interviewing him and I think it was even aired on tv. Like the History channel or some channel along those lines. Now I really need to find it. I'll send you the link as soon as I do.

Interesting thoughts MMRC, and I agree with your thoughts on legalization and prices subsequent to legalization. That's why when my brother told me that it's the drug cartels that are pushing for legalization we had quite a discussion.

My weeks so far with my family has been nice, the weather has been crap so we're all a little disappointed, but you take what you get.

..About legalization, yea there will be alot of pissed off dealers, but personally my thoughts are "F**K EM'". I want the government to do whats right for once. Just because some dealers/growers are whining about legalization because of price decrease and turning a profit doesn't mean it shouldnt be done. and at the expense of innocent people being imprizoned? I'm thinking about the bigger picture, and not the greed of a few. Besides, I'm the type of grower that'll grow illegal or legal, profitable or not, just because I love the plant, love gardening, and love helping others. I believe that those that are in it just for the money should F**K OFF because they make us all look bad.

if it is decriminalized i thnk you would see the same affects as when they bootleged the alcohol and the government put resrtictions on that as well , weed is goin to be a hard fight as it can be grown in or out and unless you fuck up you wont see the price of the crop but lose your ass on the equipment . i went to a " dispensaries " and a guy tells me its 60 / a quater i bought hit the floor then he says oh i got blah ,blah ,blah and tells me they are premie buds like week4 flowerng ..........rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr( why would you even do that ) i was furious cause i tried to relieve my personal to them as i had more than i needed .so i said nah thx then he had the nerve to tell me they do grow shops on the weekend and for 50- 100 bucks i could go ? wtf is wrong with this...hes far from corporate , he has his liscence for a.d.h.d wtf thats not right there are people that cant even get the liscence and this jackass has a prob listening and sittin still.let it be ours by that i mean no regulations on the size of our gardens or the amount we posses.

I have that documentary. "The Union - The Business Behind Getting High" its a really good film. I actually put it on DVD and sent it to my parents. There old, so there views on marijuana were molded by the old and crazy propaganda that the government marketed about how weed is the devils drug and how it will make you crazy and start killing people. Non-sense. So I had to send that too them so they can see things from a different perspective. Great film though.

Anyway, I dont think a few greedy growers would have enough impact to change any laws, or really even influence them. Sure people can complain, but what does that accomplish? I've put over $4K into my grow room so far and still need to put about another $3K before its complete and I have a very small grow opp. So if profit is lost, small growers like you and I wouldnt be able to even afford to grow anymore. I love growing as well and would do it whether or not I was turning profit, but growing cost money. Indoors is expensive. If weed was decriminalized or made legal, the majority of grows would probably move outside with one harvest per year. Not because they want to, but probably because they will have to. Growing indoors really wouldnt be affordable anymore, unless your "9 to 5" allows you to, with extra money needed to do it. I love growing. The money that comes from it is just an added benefit of it. So small growers would eventually be put out of business and the large corporations would dominate it. In sells its all about profit and volume. If your volume is really high, then you can make it to where you only make 1 cent off of everything you sell and you can still make millions. But if your volume is low, you have to increase your individual profit margin... therefore raising the price, just to make a few bucks. Corporations have the millions to put up front for marketing to bring in that high volume of customers, while still keeping there prices unbeatable. So to me.... that sucks. I wont b*tch or complain about it, but do you think corporations are really concerned about helping people?? There not. There all about making cash.

So in all, I think decriminalization would be the best route to go, over legalization. This way no innocent people go to jail... more people will start to grow so the price will drop, making it more affordable and marijuana will stay with the small family oriented grow opps that it has been with for all these years. Its not about greed or being selfish, because the facts are... it cost money to grow and it takes time. Sure you can grow outdoors, but there are limitations to that. Not everyone has a yard that they can grow in. If you dont have a big yard, then you'll only be able to do a very small crop. And there's only one season per year where to light falls to around 12/12. Just about everyone has a spare closet or some room in there house that they could grow under lights, which cost money. You can only do so much in a window seal or an apartment balcony. So it cost money. There's really no way around that.
