Chopped down one of the plants today, the Strawberry on the right with the yellow leaves. The wet weight with the stems and buds after all the leaves were trimmed is 230 grams. Will weigh again after drying and pulled off the big stems which will be about a week or so before the buds are put into some glass hermetic jars for curing.

1.5 Oz of GDP around 42 grams (seeds remain)(fruity, smells like weed, oily, crispy, crystals, light brown hairs, purple calyxes, dark green leaves , still needs to cure, but its dry enough to smoke)
1.8 Oz Strawberry Plant (green leaves, oily, crystally, smells like weed) around 50 grams (seeds remain some picked out)(vaping tastes ok, still chlorophyll needs to dry/cure more.)
2.5 Oz Strawberry Plant (yellow leaves)around 70 grams (20 grams jar without seeds, and 2nd 50 gram jar with seeds, dry hairy smells not weed, when vaporized tastes like burnt pine needless, or something like a fire, smoking, harsh, dry...

5.8 Oz or about 160 grams total with 250 Watts.

I think that's about 40 grams per square foot, but I'm rounding down a little to make it easy

When I weighed before hand wet weight for GDP was around 166 and dry was 44 then I cut some big stems out to get just the buds and it was around 41 grams. Starting weight of the buds was 166 and lose 75 percent of the water weight, now weight 25 percent at 44g dry weight and subtracting the 3+ grams of stems to leave 41g in the jar. When trimming the plant, I leave the long branches and the stems with buds attached. Then cutting the buds off the branches, but leaving the stems when drying for about a week, then cutting the buds off the stems, these branches and stems were usually about 10 percent of the dry weight and I try to leave some of the small stems while cutting out the majority of them when I jar it, so they can suck some moisture from the stems while curing. I am not sure on how much the seeds percentage of the total weight is because I only picked out like 20 grams worth before deciding I'll pick the rest out one bud at a time, when I'm gonna smoke it. I weight over 4 Grams of seeds so far though. I got enough seeds for now with over 2 dozen GDP and easily more than double with the Strawberry. There's still 3.5 oz of strawberry buds with seeds to go through and the 1.5 oz of GDP with some seeds. Overall I am pleased, with some disappointments being I made too many Strawberry seeds, and that I ruined the one strawberry plant, and poor drying skills and job. I know now to slow dry the herb, without the fan blowing on it.




The GDP is the better strain here for sure because it smells fruity, tastes better when smoking it, and gets me high. The plant that turned yellow got too dry, and I had too much fan blowing on it when drying. Next time I will just let it sit there and air dry, like I did with the GDP. It took about 6 days before I put it in the Jars, but I think after 5 days when it is a little more moist is better. I have no skills when it comes to drying and it gets ruined. I don't mind too much this time because of all the seeds, but only the GDP and like 2 Oz of the Strawberry are smokable, after picking seeds out. The other 2.5 oz of dry crap doesn't smell like weed and it's got so many hairs its like the buds didn't grow at all, and were really tiny, other than the ones that had some seeds in it. I think something happened in week 5 with the fertilizing and it never recovered that's why it was yellow leafed. So I think I'm just going to grow GDP next time, and start growing out some GDP seeds. I'm not sure what the seeds are that are growing right now but I'll learn on these for a few weeks and make my mistakes on them. Tons of gnats already, and when I go to transplant I hope to get rid of them before putting them in the tent.


It's all about having a good strain when you are growing is what I'm seeing. This stuff grows like a weed.

So that concludes my Journal, I will be starting a new one soon when I put GDP clones into bigger pots and into the 2x2 Tent again. Will be growing GDP in the tent only while growing out GDP x Sour Diesel Haze seeds in my veg/clone area to find a mother plant and possible future back cross to GDP. Either way I'll keep this GDP strain going, and am excited to have seeds knowing I can start growing in case the mother's died or something happened.

Some Keif from under the screen in the tray. I got a nug of GDP and stuck it in the keif a couple of times and smoked it, and it was nice.
