HighTechRasta's 1000W China LED COCO 4x3 2in1 Tent Perpetual SCROG With BruceBanner & Bagseed

It's a work night in the grow room.
LSD wants a transplant, which will involve a new way
of setting up my coco in the fabric pots.
Also gonna top the LSD and make a clone from the top I take.
Gotta get 2 cuttings off the performer bagseed, love everything
about the way it's growing and the buds and stacking looks amazing.
Doing a DIY 4x Computer fan cyclone of air setup above the canopy,
need to solder up some wiring and a power supply for it.
Gonna take 2 cuttings from the Purple Nuken and send
the rest to the compost, it's alive but it's compromised
and will never be more than a Larf tree...:rip:

Pics will be taken,
posts will be made...

It's unwise to take clones from sickly plants.

It's unwise to take clones from sickly plants.

Yes, But...

As can be seen in the pics of that plant, it has been performing perfect
for me, with my LST tech. The sickly, I 100% blame on me.
So, I think it's worth a try.
But, is there any harm that can be done? Like it continuing with the sicklyness?
I'm thinking, if it makes it through the clone process, it'll be some hardy genetics?

Can’t wait to see the Performer!

Ummmm...
When PennyWise asks,
outta pure respect, you provide!

27 Days 12/12, Performer Hybrid Bagseed in the back, taken moments ago...

The stretch has stopped and I expect a lot of colas on this unknown welcome guest!
1786384

This is the very reason for tonight's installation of a 4 fan way air cyclone,
need to keep my stacks aired out well...
:thumb:
I think this one looks like a keeper???
Worth grabbing 2 clones??

Now back to work...

Gorgeous plant.

She does look beautiful indeed!

The reason to not take clones from sick plants is mostly obvious. Switching from a vegging plant to grow roots is it's own stressful event. so to further compound the stress by adding sickness to the equation could result in failure, or a really long and drawn out recovery/root production process that is beneath wasting your time on. So long as the continuity of your grow doesn't hinge on the timeliness or success of those cuttings, you're GTG, but if you need the cuts to live and grow timely, it would be better to fully recover the mom before taking parts from her.

Thanks Sky,

I do have some other strains going, should be ok for next round.
Was not relying on that plant for anything actually, it was bound for
an outdoor grow or maybe another backup plant. Kinda silly, as It's
bagseed and don't know it's sex. But, I do know what it is, came from
a quality bag of smoke. What makes me want to keep it in the game is
how well it did before the sickness. I do not have room for a sickly mom
though. I do have patience to try and save it some kids though...
If I get 2 successful clones from it, it will be redemption for killing the mom.
Challenge accepted.

30 Days 12/12

Been busy with life outside the grow.
But I managed time for a photo op :)

Rear Right, my #1 Bruce Banner Bagseed.
1789321

Front Left, we have my Unknown Sativa Dom Bagseed.
1789322

Rear Left, we have my star performer, calling it my Hybrid Bagseed. Took 2 late cuttings off her,
gotta keep this in the game until something else impresses me.
Girls got a cup each of Insect Frass Tea on Day 28.
See how they like some Chitin...

Ladies got another 2cups each of Frass Tea tonight.
The Frass Tea, with it's chitin (pr.kite-in) is supposed to
heavily increase resin production and bud stacking.
The PPM on the tea is 360, whatever that all consists of...
Feeding these girls at 865ppm, going up to 1000ppm now.
Oh, also, in panic from what happened to the Purple Nuken,
I changed the watering time to 3mins @ 7:30pm, 11:30pm, 3:30am.
So, they went from every hour during lights on, to just 3 times
4 hours apart. I'm pretty sure I'm seeing an improvement...
Something else has changed, but I'm not ready to admit it yet .
Now I have to get to work on my wire soldering for my 4 fan air vortex.

1793627

My Fav Bruce top in the back.

1793628

Late Buds starting on the one up front, stacking nice though,
can't wait to see how she develops, might have to spend some
extended solo time in the tent at the end... Whatever she needs!

1793632

Loving the stacks on this late budder.

1793634

Bruce here, the stalks are pretty much fully stacked all around on both. I'm hoping it's all fill-out now.

More frost.

The garden looks super swell! TBH, I thought they all would'a stretched a bit more on ya, but I guess the silver lining is they'll be more manageable. If I were you, I would refrain from plucking or snipping. Around day 21 and day 42 are the windows, but the key word in this sentence is "around" which implies a couple days sooner and after. Me personally try to only do the 21 day trimming, and I get aggressive with that when needed or when I slack on my veg game, but generally, I try to imagine what the plant will look like after the stretch, but while still in veg, and trim as needed while still in veg. This usually translates into less needed pruning in bloom, but like I said, sometimes I drop the ball in veg and under prune. Then I have to get jiggy with the skizzors after the stretch. For me, it's all about inflicting as much stress in veg as I can so I don't need to do it in bloom.

Ok, I'm seeing what appears to me to be an insane amount of frost!
And that is on all of the three strains!
Also, the pistils are friggin crazy!
The Bruce Banner has the fuzziest looking golf ball nugs I've ever seen.
And my Performer in the back has these crazy long pistils, they look
like little rock stars!

I dunno if this is normal, but I think it's from the Frass Tea.
The person I got the info from said to be careful with it,
that he went too far once and his buds were dripping with resin,
so much that it would not burn properly to smoke and he had to
make concentrates with it all. The ingredient involved, for those
wanting to look into it, is Chitin (kite-in). I'll be more documented
in the future on my Tea brewing, right now I don't have all the stuff
I want, so it was a Frass only tea.

I'm gonna take some pics, just had to journal this right away.

Now, off to get some frost pics...

If your inlet is low and exhaust up top, I suggest putting those fans between to lend themselves to the continuity of that exchange process so that the air is pushed from below the canopy, up through it. I realize that in many cases, some ideas are just not doable for any reason, but I thought I'd just make the suggestion is all.

Right with ya brother. I actually have 2 inlets near the bottom of the tent in opposite corners.
Air is pulled up through the canopy and the vortex before exiting at the top next to my light.

Any opinions on the amount of frost @ 6 weeks?
Am I tripp'n, is this just normal amount?

:thumb:

I'd grade the frost content about 7/10, maybe 7.5. It looks slightly more than the gooder side of average, but I notice sometimes the cameras fool me. This is something in my own garden I am highly skeptical of and is what divides me when choosing strains that yield well and finish quick. Sadly, it seems I am stuck in the 6-7 range of 10, but I recently acquired Triacontanol which is like HGH for plants, so I'm now considering strains that yield well but get stupid frosty like my nemesis Dinafem OG Kush. I love that strain, the bud density, look, frost, smell, taste of smoke and high but the yield of the line I grew was stone cold ASS!
