My Grow

You all might have to excuse me if I don't get much updated this week. Wife will be in the hospital for a week due to some things happening with her lung transplant. She had a double lung transplant 5 years ago. Lately her lungs keep filling up with fluid. They drain it & in a day or two they are full again. They haven't found where it's coming from so they are putting her in the hospital. They're going to put a camera in through her chest to find where the fluid is coming from. Doesn't sound like much fun to me. So just bare with me & I'll update when I can until this is over. Thanks !

Take care of your wife my friend. :green_heart:
Some things are far more important than an update.
I hope everything goes well and it's easier to remedy than it sounds.
:Namaste:

Stay safe

High All ! I'll do an update tomorrow. Just wanted to post the light changes I've been making in the middle of the night.
Trying to get everything done without the wife's help sucks.... lol. I hate shopping & cooking.
So here's some pics.

OK, update time....."Let's do this"! Well, all 3 of these gals seem to have a def. For the most part it looks like a Potassium def. Also looks like it could be lacking in Calcium & Nitrogen. I'm thinking there's a nute lockout. With that thinking I flushed the Aurora Indica & OG Kush this morning. Put them in the tub & ran 15 gal. of water through them. They sat about 1 hour draining before they went back in the tent. I plan to do all 3, but didn't want too much moisture raising the RH too high so only did 2. I'll do the 3rd in a couple of days. Not much time left on these so I guess I can call it a pre-harvest flush.... lol. They will get fed 1 gal. of nutes tonight. I cut the Silica out completely. Upped the Cal-Mag to 3 ml. per gal. & cut back to 5.5 gr. MC.

Here's some pics of the Aurora Indica so you can see where I'm coming from. I'm open to suggestions for a fix.

Normally, I would only flush for a toxicity; but because I think there's a lockout I figured I need a reset. I'm wondering if one of those Banana Peal Teas would do anything for this? I've never tried it so have no idea.

OG Kush is almost done. I'd say about 10 more days. She's got some nice looking bud that's frosty & sticky as can be. Wish I knew how to take the pics that show the frost real good, but I'm pretty amateur at photography. I sure seen it good when it was in the tub getting flushed. She's got a pretty strong scent to her too.
Here's some pics.

White Widow, I didn't flush yet. I just gave her a 1/2 gal. of water to hold her over till tonight. She's still the biggest of the 3 girls & has the least amount of def. going on. From the looks of her I'd say she still has 2-3 weeks left to go still.
She has lots of white pistils & only a few have turned red. I'm OK with that though as she's stacking up nicely.

Posting this to all 3 journals. Easier to just copy & paste.

Wife is doing good (I think). At least it sounds that way from what she told me the doctors said. They took the suction thing off yesterday that drains the fluid from her lungs. They have been spraying some kind of stuff in her somehow that is suppose to stop the leakage. She had 3 treatments of that. If her C-Scan is good today she will get out today or tomorrow. Hopefully, all is good.

Good news and continued best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Usually P and Ca def show up somewhat together. Does the necrotic parts/tips of the leaves feel "soft"?

Compost tea could help with P treatment and Ca availability could be improved with environmental changes (slightly higher VPD could help with Calcium movement).

And in the pics top of the medium looks bone dry which makes me think if the whole medium is dry but the plant still looks pretty droopy, "full of water" and leaves slightly clawing down.
Is she getting a lot N?

The Tips kind of dry up & get crunchy. Not sure if they're soft prior to that. I'll check at lights on. What would you suggest as VPD numbers. Right now the tent stays 78 - 82F with 35 - 45% RH. Those seem like decent numbers to me. Not perfect, but not bad.
I don't know anything at all about Teas. Never made one as I've never grown organic & I thought Teas were for organic grows. I've been a Bottle & Bag Nutrient user since I started growing.
I think the leaves look a little heavy on the "N" also. I haven't added any. They only get the "N" that's in Mega Crop.
I'm thinking the pics you seen probably did have dry soil. About once a month I let the plants start to wilt before feeding again. It's my way of knowing that the soil has dried enough.... lol.
Today, I bought a PK Booster. "Humboldt County's Own - Crystal Burst 0-15-15". Says to use 5 ml. per gal. So which order do I mix ? Ca-Mag / Crystal Burst / Mega Crop ?

Well I looked at the Trichs of a small bud under the Mic & she looked a lot cloudier then she actually was. I usually trim off most the fan leaves during the last 7 days to get the bottom stuff to finish up. Well..... I did it, but I feel I did it a little too soon. Another week would have been perfect. Oh well, No use crying over a smoked joint. So Here's what we got..... "OG KUSH".

She's getting good and frosty. I swear after I did the defol she put out a ton of new white pistils. This gal had 75% - 80% red hairs. Got Me ?

And Ms. Aurora Indica is looking pretty sweet. Looks like she just powdered her wig again too. A butt-load of new white hairs. Her buds are getting thick & heavy. I'm not noticing the super strong odor I did last time I grew this strain. :(
She's still looking tasty though..... lol.

Mix CalMag first. Then 2nd Micro or wherever you get the micros from (if you feed additional micros to soil)
In other words try to mix P containing nutrients last.

congratulations on a good looking harvest! :high-five:
