New to LED lights: Help!

Good day 420 community!
I have recently started growing autos (lemon haze & northern storm) in a 5x5x6 tent. They are officially 20 days old since popping from the soil. The soil Im using is fox farm ocean forest so I haven’t been adding any nutes due to the soil already having some. As for as the light the plants are on a 18/6 schedule and Im using two sunraise 1000w full spectrum led lights. It has two switches one for veg and the other for bloom. Since day 1 I only had the veg light on but 7 days ago I lowered the light from 30” to 23”. they seem fine no problem at all but today I decided to raise them back up to 28”-30” and turn on both switches for more light. I did this because I’ve notice my grow is much smaller compared to others and many recommended this and some of my plants seem short with not much spacing between nodes. My question is it okay to do it? And how far should I have my lights from plants? Sorry for the long message! Feel free to leave any recommendations or info. I appreciate you guys! You can run with just the veg on in vegging and then run both in bloom when using photo seeds and since yours are auto seeds run both switches now...I usually keep my LED lights 18inchs from the top of my plants at all times and have had no issues, But all lights are made differently. An old school way to keep your lights at a good distance from the tops of the plants is to put your hand under your light at the level of your plants and if your hand can't stay there causes its hot or too warm then it will be too hot or warm for your plants.

Welcome to 420 Mag! I noticed that your 1000 watt lights actually only draw 165 watts each from the wall. With two of those lights you will have 330 watts from the wall. Rule of thumb I follow is 40 - 50 watts per square foot. IMHO Those two fixtures would work for 3' x 3' tent, I personally would want much more light for a 5' x 5' tent. Six of those lights would give you 40 watts per square foot in a 5' x 5' tent.
