Lighting: Viparspectra P4000 (400 watts) & a Phlizon 200 watt.

Airflow: Vivosun 6” in-line fan & 2 other generic fans.

4 seeds were germinated and planted. 2 are in 5 gallon pots with reused super soil made from FFOF, worm castings, & Nature’s Living Soil. The other 2 seeds are in 5 gallon DWCs using General Hydroponics nutrients.

Correction:

Purple Octane is a marijuana strain from top breeder turned licensed grower Seed Junky Genetics. Seed Junky drilled down into the purple and the gas in the GSC/Gelato family. Purple Octane is a cross of (Biscotti x Sherb BX1) x (Jealousy F2). It's got a deep purple look, intense grape fuel aroma and maximum-THC indica hybrid effects.

My primary goal in the seedling stage is to keep the soil moist, not wet, hence I lightly water about twice daily just enough to keep things moist. As you can already see with this run, there will be no transplanting. This is to keep things a little simpler and because it is less things that can go wrong. Also, in my experience, growth rate is not affected when comparing transplanting or not transplanting as long as all your other parameters (environment, airflow,, vpd, lighting, etc) are optimal.

I raised the ppms on Pheno 2 in the DWC as it’s roots are really taking hold and beginning to grow at a faster rate. This along with the second set of true leaves coming in is a clear sign that the vegetative stage has begun.
