Skoondawg's Soil, South African Bag Seed, HPS & CFL SCROG Cabinet 2016/17

Another update, nothing new or interesting to report. Just that we are getting closer to harvest and I'll most probably be there to do the cut myself which I'm rather pleased about .

Got these pictures a day and a half ago, therefore this was about day 66. Will have an update on the trichomes tomorrow, last word i received was a mix of clear and cloudy (no amber, think my friend was a bit stoned and made an error in judgement lol). Hoping to get an estimate on the ratio tomorrow.

DAY 66 (Week 9 and 3 days)

See some nice convex shaped buds in the background, getting more rounded than straight

Definitely shaping up to be a long flowering strain. Still looks like a few weeks to go bud.

Looking good my man.

Grab the ripe and reduce light to 10 or 9 hours, i heard this helps ripening the long flowering equatorial stuff

My first journal What's That? - White Light - What Does It Do? - It Grows

Using that light My very first DIY COB fixture
I may do that. Got my friend to check the trichomes low down too tomorrow. Should I add low dose bloom nutes again then? Been under a week, maybe 5 days I think with just water so far.

Yo yo people :)

Day 70 today and got another update for you.

The left plant (Skoondawg Kush) seems to be behind the right plant (Skoondawg Haze) in terms of maturity, may end up chopping the SKH down (when all trichomes cloudy) and letting the SDK go for longer.

The update I got regarding the trichomes was that 30% cloudy, 30% clear and the rest on their way to cloudy but not quite cloudy yet. I assume that's more regarding the SDH. Back home in 3 days so will be able to have a good look myself . . can't wait !

Here are the ladies :)

Saw this and got a bit bleak as it resembles the dreaded 'nanner' which would not surprise me with these bag seeds as they could easily have the hermie genetic trait..., but I'm pretty sure they haven't been stressed. My friend will have another look tomorrow

But it might be just a bad angle and poor quality which makes it look like one, crossing fingers. He is on strict nanner watch from now till I'm back, have also told him to get tweezers ready in case. Hoping it's just discolouration of the leaf like this :

That's it from me for now, cannot wait to smoke these ladies :D

Love and light.

I would pull those old dry leaves out the bud before you get some mold or rot issues bud.
I can't believe those ladies are looking so good under fluorescent lights. Wow!
I was going to say, some guys add a hid metal halide for the last week to really ramp up the terp profile and resin.
Looks tops for bag seed.

I will pull the leaves, don't know why I've left them on for so long..

There is a 250w HPS sitting in the centre of all those fluorescent lights :D about 450w total :D I sure am keen to get higher than a lion brother . haven't smoked ganja in almost a month, going to fly through my roof in 2 days :D

Yes keep it clean. It's normally the dead leaf stems that start the mildew/mold i find cause the have high water content still. Cleanliness is next to godliness...

Hey guys!

Back at home and was lovely to see the ladies in person again!

I took the advice and cleaned the girls up a bit, took off the dying leaves, which may aid the high humidity i sometimes experience

These were taken today therefore we are at DAY 75 (Week 10 and 5 days)

Here are a few pics

The trichomes still have some time to go, they are about 60/40 cloudy to clear, maybe more cloudy but need to take a better look. I did however decide to take off one bud as seen in the pictures and hang it up to dry just to try it out and see how the weed changes the later we harvest. Also going to throw this in among some roses for the girlfriend for valentines day....:cheer: LOL

Would say at least another week? Feel free to drop by and comment or throw some tips into the mix!

Keep safe people :Namaste:

Nice man. Looks like they've entered the "final-swell-phase". I estimate another 10 - 14 days and then they're done. Should get nice and chunky in that time.

Thanks for dropping by again :D If it gets any bigger than they are already I'll be really happy :D

I thought they would finish sooner so I stopped using nutes about 2 weeks ago, should I give them a small dose of bloom nutrients and then stop after 2 feeds - with about 10 days left?
