The Quadsquad Thread: A Community For Quadlining

Hey guys just a quick update on my ghost roof that I started lst a few days ago, she hit preflower preety damn fast for an auto tbh I can recall when the hell I planted these as I lost my grow journal I wrote everything down in the other smaller one is sour stomper and I’ve never seen such tight node spacing . I was going to top her but decided against it since the noding are so tight she’s also started shooting pistils pretty early, they could be stunted from the incident with the wife’s cat. Got 3 other ghost toot seedling waiting to get a few more nodes before inducing them into the quad squad. Anyone got any experience with quadlining and scrog on autos ??
Explosive growth !!! That’s all I can say for my first quadline, this ghost toof is just rocking out. got her lil sisters first 2 nodes stripe and in a day or two she’s getting topped and welcomed into the quad squad... what u guys think? Any thoughts on such fast flowering for this ghost toof ?

Hedzenmedz MK-ULTRA autoflowers Quad-Line No-Till Grow Log
Day 18 of the grow. Freshly transplanted into 3 gallon air pots. Will give them a day and then remove the lower leaves and top the next day. I also thought I’d throw in a photo of how we exhaust the flower area into a unused chimney through the clean out. I need to finish my duct tape work (a la Red Green / “if the women don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy”!)

Day 35. Over the last few days, I have up-potted from1 to 4 gal for soil plant and trimmed a few of the older leaves that were shading new growth. I removed the band-aid tape from the dwc plant but it doesn't look to good. Tonight I put some fresh aloe vera on the area.

Day 38 update. Everything just cruising along. Dwc still has its top nodes and has a piece of aloe vera wedged on top of it. It doesn't seem to be slowing the growth down on the rest of the plant.
Soil plant has had its first feed of mycorrhizae & kelp powder with some eco-aminogro. I have been removing the underside growth on every 2nd node and center fan leaves.

Hey Quadsquad
I know I've been told I should let this first grow happen au natural and not get training happy but this Gelato plant is just begging to be quadlined. I can hear it asking when I check on it. Lol ;-) I figure with all the help freely available here it would be hard to mess up... and if I do mess up I'll learn for next time.

I'm currently at day 18 from sprout and Just pushing out the 5th node. Would I be best to take the bottom 2 nodes now and wait till the 20th or 21st day to top?

Have a knife day

That's how I would do it...she's definitely asking for it ;)
Is she an auto?-if so,plain old LST without topping might actually be a better option for you-

Yes she's an auto. I am sitting on my hands and might have to hide the scissors. I'm horrible with impulse control so dont be surprised if my self control falters and it gets Quadded :nervous-guy::meditate::goodluck:

Heres a tiny update on my 2 girls-they're 2 days into 12/12,both 6" tall now-the Northern Lights was an inch behind, but she's caught up in the last 2 days, since the flip...

I defoliated them a few days ago,but decided that was a losing battle at this point,so I'll
just "keep on tucking" until they're about 3 weeks into 12/12,when I'll do a major defol.
The "good" budsites can all see the light right now,and the smaller ones that end up not doing much will get trimmed off then.

The 4 mains on and some of the center branches will remain tied down as they are until well into flowering.
They're growing straight up now, which is what I want, since there's not a lot of "elbow room" in there...

So next update, there should be a few pistils popping out on them (If my light proofing works on "the box")-it worked last time...saw flowers in 4 days...unfortunately,those were male flowers-even on the feminized one...
They're 37 days from sprout today-probably a bit early to flower, but I need to keep them short if possible-so far they're cooperating, but we'll see what the next couple weeks does .
I'll be back with another update in a week or so...I'm thinking this Quadline thing is exactly what I need to do to keep them manageable,we'll see if they feel the same way...or not.

It'll be interesting to see what she does if you do-it could turn out very well..but you won't know for sure till you do it...since she's not your only plant,it might be a proper time to do a little experimenting...

I knew you were gonna do it- just had to scratch that "itchy" trigger finger, didn't you?
Cool..this'll be one to watch...

Yeah no will power at all... I'm the worst at christmas. If there's a wrapped gift with my name on it, it doesnt last till christmas. Lol

Hopefully she takes it well and turns into a Quadmonster :nervous-guy::goodluck::goodluck::goodluck:

I think she's going to do very well...she just has that "look"

Well I have my 4 that are looking good in my Quadline attempt. Overall I think I might go back to just mainlining in my next grow, but would for sure Quadline C99 because the limbs are just so forgiving in their training. Just a bit harder to Quadline my Indica plants, because they get so bushy and hard to find where to lollipop and defoliate.

Front Left to right Fruity Pebbles, Cinderella 99, Gelat.OG, and Black Domina (Day 8 Flowering)

I know the feeling-you just look into the mess of leaves and stems, and say to yourself "wtf?"
They're looking real good...

Yeah my Black Domina in particular has me scratching my head wondering what the hell am I going to do here? I tried training with 3 other plants but snapped a main limb on each of them. Now a Tripline grow?!? Or would it be a Ménage à trois?

Indica's aren't as fun to quad in terms of the veg stage as they don't get that awesome shape that hybrids and sativas do, however once they stretch and start flowering you get a really nice end result. The Double Berry I grew on my last grow was easily the best quality stuff out of the bunch with amazingly dense colas.
