A little more training today. More stress and three leaves removed. I see some nice new growth coming today so adjust and wait till tomorrow.

This lil lady. The LA Amnesia. She's just a few steps behind. Even though she's behind I've gone ahead and bent her over and removed a leaf. The new growth is there but not very developed yet. I should see more branches emerge in a day or so.

My little auto is starting to do her thing as well. Thought for sure I'd stunted her with to many nute but she seems to be doing okay.

Waiting for 5 more to emerge from the promix. 4 are already on their way.

So I go in to water my autos. I have the mixed pack from Fastbuds in various stages of seedling. Then I noticed this.
It appears I'm getting 6 plants for the price of 5. I swear there was only one bean in there. I've never had this happen before..lol

Oh, I don't think that'll happen. Since issue 1 passed I've chosen to abort the smaller one. Snip snip. Survivor of the fittest..

Automatics Update
4 Devil Xxl coming along. I can see some damage but the new growth is coming along nicely. I try not to freak out to much when I see something. Just try to correct it and move on.

I've had a total of 4 Fastbuds seeds showing green. One seemed to come up and die. At least I got 4. They are in the early stages of seedlings. I had to remove a seed pod so one could unfold.

Went ahead and ordered a mixed bag of autos from Fast Buds. I like a mystery.

Going in over budget on everything I opted to go with the mixed bag of 5 beans. It will be fun growing out some mystery seed.

First outdoor I did mystery autos & got a Big surprise, though I bought tomato size plants & ended up with a 6'x 6' monster. Made for an exciting summer & made some great crosses

Houston We Have a Problem

Have you ever unzipped your tent and something just didn't look right? It happened to me today and I'm thankful it did. Ive been sailing along here with this grow but as things go I am seeing a issue rising and if I don't act now it will probably really wreck these plants.

What's the problem? Reservoir temperatures.
I've been ramping up the lamps a little and have noticed droopy girls not reaching for the light. I checked the res temp and it was 75.4. The roots don't look good at all. I thought maybe the silica I added had slightly changed the root color but after looking deeper I see and feel slime. I should be seeing Pearl white root. They are a healthy green above and appear healthy but her legs are damaged and unhappy. I don't have the money for a chiller so on to plan B.

So, with these being so early in life and heading for deaths door. I have taken a hopefully life saving step and pulled them from the netpots. Transplanted then all into a 5gal bucket per plant with Promix HP Myco.
I ran to home Depot and picked up what I needed. Bought 3 5gal buckets and drilled holes on bottom and underneath. 2" of clay pebbles line the bottom of the buckets. They sit in a large catch pan. Overflow can just sit there and wick back up as needed. Shouldn't have to water them for a while. I've also backed off some light intensity to give them some rest to repair and grow some good legs.

Let's take a look at these uhhhh roots. More like a slimy mess. This didn't take long to develop. Just the other day they were acting normal. Reaching for the light. Today I noticed that was not happening. Something just wasn't right. I pooped up the lid and gooey, slimy, off colored roots greeted me. Ugh...I knew I'd been hugging the top end on res temps. Obviously I lost..lol. Look at this nasty mess.

What a fucking mess.

I'm sure they will recover. Cannabis is a pretty tough cookie. All I can do is sit black and see how they do. I've caught the problem. Now let's see how the solution works.

I would let the pots dry out good before watering again
From my experience they don't like to go from bare root to soil the bigger the worse
Let them dry then give them some hydrogen peroxide water around the root ball trying to get new roots growing

Yeah, they have plenty of moisture for days. I use the lift method to water. Always worked well for me. Going from hydro to promix didn't seem like a huge leap to me. Similar pH needs. They did get some h2o2. It's added in everything I water. I'm pretty sure they will bounce back. I'll know soon.

I'm no plant whisperer by any means but these ladies and I have a pretty close relationship going. Still in the honeymoon stage so I'm up on them a few times a day..

I love them but I've got to admit I am planning their murder. Shhhh...

Automatics Update

Time to water the Devils tonight. They are coming along. I wish I would have put more medium in their pots. Kinda settled on me.
Oldest plant in this group is 21days, Other three are 17, and 15days.
Lite nutrients tonight TPS One, CalMag, silica, pH down to 5.6.
Nothing fancy or eventful but I bet I see flowers soon.

The 4 Mixed bag beans from Fastbuds are up and growing. They appear to be doing fine. It'll be nice to have these ready just a few weeks or so after the Devils. They have no needs at the moment. Pots are still a bit heavy.

Elf on a Shelf

Okay, so I made some butter out of some old dispensary pot I had. To test it I swallowed a tbsp and chased it with chocolate...check out the potency right. Hindsight was telling me..this is not a good idea. Once again, I shoulda listened.

In our home we play elf on a shelf year round. This guy below is he. He has no name and suffers from depression. Frequently finds himself in dark spaces for long periods of time until stumbled upon.
If you find him you must relocate him in the house without being seen. Your reward is a smile and a challenge to hide him again. We sometimes go a long time before he appears..lol

So why not include him in my threads. I'm high as hell and mesmerized by the elf dangling in the corner. So I thought I'd make a meme. He's been there for a while. You may occasionally see him in my posts from time to time.

The girls are looking good. Good catch on the rough roots. I think I'm going to run some autos on my next run and that fast buds mix pack feels like a good deal.
