420 Magazine’s Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow By Cr8grow

Day 105 from sprout, end of Week 8 flower from flip. Scoped today and saw mostly cloudy and some clear, no amber…top calyxes each plant. Seeing more new pistils on all. Will go another week probably and scope next week a few times. My general rule is done, then wait one more week. I am seeing some light stress particularly on the fasciated bud…that one is still super sticky though. My light is max height and can’t be dimmed. I want cloudy and a hint of amber. All fed, watered and rotated today. Likely the last water/nutes this grow. Plants are fading about right with fan leaves giving up their N and other portable goodness.

A nice dense little harvest is just about in order! Looking awesome in there cr8!

I didn't realize you had 3 plants with the reddish leaves. I thought you just had one. They're very pretty. I wonder why the leaves on your plants are a different colour?

Cr8, your ability to bring out those fall colors never ceases to amaze me. Good job sir!

I have been smoking a bit of mine before cure but it is just dry enough and it is definitely not disappointing. Really good couch lock a couple of hours in with them at 25% amber. I harvested at 70 days post flip.

HashGirl, I typically get a couple purple and red plants most grows that have an indica lean. 64F nights pulling in that cool air below the canopy and my redder flower bulb transitions the plants to fall. My flower food forces the plants to consume the fans. Cheers

CigNv…hope we have a long dry fall for those outdoor girls. Yes, these genetics are exactly my favorite. Chop soon. Cheers

Fatty buds ya got their cr8! You seem to have that green thumb so I'm sure you have everything under control just fine! Im surprised your not seeing any amber yet being the end of week 8! I guess I'll be preparing for some longer flower times on a couple of these gscs I've got growing. Since your light is maxed out on vertical space and found a nanner them new pistils could be just more fox tailing going on which I'd check for more amber hidden if that were the case my friend either way looks great cheers!

Moto258, pretty sure they received last water/nutes. I will be scoping daily half way into week 8 flower, which is in 2 days. Could be chop then. I need to chop all 4 at the same time, so will balance out maturity between all. Cheers

Day 109 from sprout, mid-week 9 flower from flip. Scoped today and see cloudy with some amber, just right for this grow. Lights stay off after today and I will let plants go dark around 24 hours before chop. Fan leaves will be removed pre-chop and then the plants will be hung whole back in the cabinet to dry slowly 4+ days until stem check and feel dictates trim. I will remove my light and small fans first. updates coming on dry, trim and cure. And of course a smoke report. Thanks again @420 for coordinating this GSC comparative grow, a bonus with excellent @Weed Seeds Express genetics. I learned a lot on different grow styles and techniques from the supportive growers here at 420 Magazine. I’m thinking about seeds for my next grow…hope to launch September. Cheers

Nicely done, cr8! You should enter one of your plant photos to the next Plant of the Month contest. They're really beautiful with their orangey leaves.

Wow.. magical.
Kind sir .. I have a Nikon D70 and I haven’t a clue what to do with it . Other than point and press. Had it for near 20 ye
If I was to set up , would it be possible to pic your brains a little?
Bud Love, it’s my iPad, iPhone and a wireless microscope. I don’t retouch any pics other than the auto correct feature on my iPad, which is acceptable for submittals. I did incorporate a microphone stand for the micro shots…I will try to find a shot. Cheers

Day 112 from sprout = end of week 16, end of week 9 flower. Plants were chopped and hung this morning back in the cabinet after 48 hours darkness. Small circulation fans now removed, but still have good airflow, passive filtered intake out through 4” filter and exhaust fan. I may need to rig some spreaders for better airflow, as the big buds are hanging together towards the center of each plant. Or I may cut and hang individual branches, which I’ve never done. I do want to keep different phenos separated. I will be checking initial dryness daily, then trim and into big jars for pre-cure regulation down to about 62-63% RH. These plants are heavy, the heaviest I think of any of my grows so far. The big bud hanging in the center is the fat fasciated flower that literally snapped over during the dark period. After light was turned off I trimmed fan leaves and also frosty dense marble sized buds low that sprang back after my thinning early stretch. About one big handful, many are purple…will dry a few to sample this weekend. The smell is no longer rank, now skunk, pine and chlorophyll/soy sauce background. Pics from this morning, post-chop.
