Aberration Goes Ker Bloom! - Perpetual

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Thanks, CocoJoe - it has been and still is a fun ride. E-ticket!

Thank you as well, ClimateControl. I'll see if I can't take some more this weekend.

Yesterday I harvested G13xGB.2G and BBX. I'm guessing 12-14 oz between the two plants, but who knows? I've never bloomed the BBX, so I don't know what weight it retains when cured yet. The G13x* maybe did 8-10 oz alone. We shall see.

Feed report to come...

I don't think I mentioned why the new bloomers get almost nothing but water. I am encouraging root growth. I hope.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

At this point I plan to do it weekly. In fact, tonight's session will be water and beneficials only. Which is good because it will go faster.

And thanks. They are doing well. Except the large Blue Dream girls in veg, who are a bit stretched for my taste. Gotta fix that. I hope to do that and more tomorrow.

I was going to do it today, but my local college team is kicking @ss this season and I've been a bit distracted by that. ;) But first, I need to go get the two Blue Dream girls I harvested 8 days ago, which is now dry and ready to cut up.

:peace:

I guess I'm going to have to try and use it more often:tokin: Thanks.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I need to harvest G13xGB.2F and L.2B soon. They will hopefully come out on the 27th. They will be ready.

Time to thin veg. I segregated the veg that I'm keeping from what I can give away. 11 plants need to go - 2 of the mature BDs and 9 assorted smaller plants from the rest of veg. That would leave me with 4 nice Blue Dreams-in-waiting and a total of 7 other plants. I only need BD clones for a while and I just took 6 BD cuttings and started rooting them 3 days ago. So I get to thin without the chore of cloning. I mean, cloning isn't that bad, but less work is a bonus.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I transplanted a couple Blue Dreams into 9 gallon pots. I'll probably put them into bloom tonight. I also transplanted the two small Lavenders into larger spaces because they were getting too dry too fast. I ran out of soil-less mix though, so nothing else got transplanted. Payday is coming. I'll get soil-less mix ingredients once my checkbook can safely weather it.

Then, because I was there, I fed the remaining veg plants. I'll feed bloom and do a serious bug fogging session later tonight.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I rebuilt the dual-airbar/hanger combo bubbler I use in the bottom of my res with new bubble bars and new air tube. The dual-outlet air pump is doing fine.

I took 6 Blue Dream cuttings and set them to root in coco plugs under the clone dome.

I transplanted the big Blue Dreams into 3.5 gallon pots, and all the small stuff that was in 3.5" pots got moved to 1.5 gallon bags. I then transplanted 12 clones from the dome into 3.5" pots. 4 Blue Dream, and 2 each of Big Bud x Blue Magoo, Matanuskan Thunderfu*k, Lavender and G13 x Godbud.

Everybody else got the weekly water-and-beneficials-only treatment. Oh, and the transplants got the additional weekly beneficials too.

I trimmed up the 2 big BDs (BD.4G and BD.4K) a tad in the process. I think I'm getting a handle on trimming for effect.

And that was after a full day in the yard raking leaves. Busy day! Action report coming, and hopefully pics too.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Photos!

Here is the new state of veg:

These 12 started the day as rooted clones in coco plugs under a humidity dome. I'm brutal. They get transplanted and tossed under the lights without a hardening off period:

These almost all started the day in those little green 3.5" pots. They are all aggressively trimmed:

The two big girls in veg are doing well. This is fantastic for Blue Dream at this size:

Here's a closer look at my evil topping and the result:

I wouldn't want you to think I light them as in the above first picture. That was just so you could see them all. Here's how they actually live:

Here are a couple of heroic doobies I rolled. There were three, but the first one is already smoked. Two to go... :

Here's a shot through the door into bloom. L6 (Lavender) dominates in the foreground left. She was a mother, so she is huge. I have her all cleaned up under the canopy:

Here's a shot of just L6. It's hard to get it all in. She's got an 18" thick canopy that is about 4' in diameter and nearly flat. Sweet !

If I duck down, you can see the other five girls in there, all much shorter, but right on target:

The oldest two (Lavenders) look really good. Lavender isn't a heavy producer, but every ounce is golden:

The middle two girls, age-wise, are both Blue Dream and are forming up nicely:

The youngest pair are really taking off. All the light green is vibrant new growth:
