L2 comes out next weekend and I think L3 the week after. That was L3's final food, and she is all flush from here.

BD.2A & BD.2B are on autopilot for a while. I might up the Soil Nute to 2 tsp/gal, but maybe not. I think they may not need that much.

G13xGB.1EE and G13xGB.2D went into bloom. I put them in there, trimmed their lower quarters of suckers, racked G13xGB.1EE (she is the big one) and fed them the veg recipe listed. Here we go. Two G13 x GodBud in 10 gallon pots. Today is 0 of 55 days to harvest. Woot!

Now I need to get rid of G13xGB.2C. She's a couple feet tall and I won't need her. Clone and give away. ;)

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Here are some pics I took last night. I have pics of the new girls in bloom after their 'pruning' session as well, but those pics are still on the camera and it's at home.

Here is a shot into the bloom room before the new girls went in. From left to right, L3, BD.2B, L2, BD.2A. I threw that orange 5 gallon bucket in for scale:

20100623Aber-01-bloom.jpg

Looking to the right, from nearly the same vantage, you can see what remains of CryLo.1A and G13xGB.1DD on the floor there. That's the funky buds from the bottom that aren't worth trimming. I need to cut them loose, bag them and freeze them for hashing. On the right side of the pic you can see the new AC tower and the dehumidifier:

20100623Aber-02-harvested.jpg

Here's a shot from inside bloom looking back toward the dehumidifier (at the bottom). wanted to show how I mounted my oscillating fans. With them oscillating out of sync with each other they do a great job of circulating the air in the room. One points high and the other low, to insure even coverage:

20100623Aber-03-fans.jpg

Here are a couple shots of the AC tower. It is free-standing and 6' tall. Despite appearances it is quite steady and holds the weight of the AC quite well. And because it's not attached to the wall, the vibration from the AC is not transmitted to the outside of the wall:

20100623Aber-04-stand.jpg

20100623Aber-05-stand.jpg

Here's the new 18.5K btu AC up on top. It works great. 850+ cfm is being forced through the hot side and out again. I need to insulate the exhaust ducting. I also need to find a bulkhead fitting that will work for the condensation drain. It drips straight into a bucket at the moment, but I would like to run a pipe to outside instead:

20100623Aber-06-ac.jpg

Here is the dehumidifier in the bloom room. I taped some non-slip mat over the top so that I can put stuff on it without it vibrating everything onto the floor. It is up on two buckets and if you look behind it you can see a 13 gal trash can:

20100623Aber-07-dehum.jpg

Looking from a different angle, you can see the short piece of purple hose attached to the drain on the back of the dehumidifier. That allows the condensation to drip into the trash can. I have a sump pump in the bottom of the can. When I turn on the pump, the water is pushed out through the green hose:

20100623Aber-08-dehum.jpg

The other end of the green hose ends here. I put in a ball valve and the piped it through the wall. On the outside is a regular outdoor faucet. I just leave the faucet "on". When I need to empty the trash can I open the ball valve and turn on the pump. The water goes out the faucet and through the outside hose, the end of which is laying in the backyard. It's a great way to drain to outside and water the lawn without tipping off the neighbors:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Oh right. I forgot. Last night when I put the large G13xGB.1EE in and racked her up, lots of her branches were turned the wrong way for lights. Tonight they are all turned around. The change is dramatic.

I might be able to do a before-and-after pic, but I can't post it tonight. I think I have my picture groove back a little though. I just need to figure out a way to streamline it. I'll go snap a shot and post it tomorrow probably.

Edit: You can't really see much difference in the pics. :(

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Ab, one of your best updates yet. I loved the close insight into some of the smaller, less
'appealing' aspects of your grow. What is on the left side of the room when you walk in?

You asked...

20100625Aber-01-corner.jpg

Thank you though. Over the last year I have said a few times that I would provide close-ups and look-arounds if asked. Nobody has asked until now.

I don't think anyone has, anyway. :bong:

Between the pics on the last page and the pics on this page - all I can say is...

:adore::adore::adore::adore:

:bravo::bravo:

:rollit::peace::rollit:

You are very kind. I subscribe to your thread and read it. You do well. I would never have the patience for scrog I don't think. I'm generally a patient man, but I'm also a bit lazy sometimes. :smokin: If I didn't have 9' ceilings in here I would be totally hosed. :) I admire people who do better with less space. It's people like you that deserve the reps man.

I took more pics tonight, but I'll have to feed the girls and then see if there is enough time to process, upload and post them. I'll get them up here. I think some of them are nice. I still haven't brought either tripod back out here. And you know, there I stand with the camera in hand, too lazy to go in the house and get a tripod. See? Lazy. :bong:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Very Good Work!
Word up..
Will you give me a full photo tour? I would really like to see the full rooms from further back ....BL:popcorn:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

:thanks:

That gets to the big problem. They are 9' x 10' and 9' x 8' rooms. There is no further back. The full bloom room pics are taken from the far side of veg. I'll try to put together a roundabout tour though. I've done it before. It might be a few days though. I would prefer to do video actually, but I have nothing that will do a reasonable job atm.

As far as changes here go, a positive family event of significant import is about to happen very close to me and I am short on time for a few more weeks. Late July I'll pick up a lot more free time I think, and then I should have lots of time for months after that. I will start phase two of my grow site (doubling it in size) soon. I have put off this expansion for a long time in favor of another, and it is agreed that the full expansion of the grow is the next project. Then, lookout. Woo!

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

OK, first, the pics I took last night.

Here is L3 (Lavender). She was 44/52 days. She's the one that yellowed out. So her target is now 52 days instead of 45:

20100625Aber-01-L3.jpg
\

20100625Aber-02-L3.jpg

Here's an idea of what a lot of the leaves looked like:

20100625Aber-03-L3.jpg

Here is what most of those look like now:

20100625Aber-04-L3.jpg

But a few have done this:

20100625Aber-05-L3.jpg

Thankfully, not many.

Besides, despite the setback, she has some very nice bud:

20100625Aber-06-L3.jpg

20100625Aber-07-L3.jpg

Now here's L2 (Lavender). She was 44/45 days and should come out tomorrow, but it may take a few more days. She does look sweet:

20100625Aber-08-L2.jpg

The nugs aren't huge, but they are big enough and rock hard. They will stay hard all the way through cure if I do it right. Lavender rocks:

20100625Aber-10-L2.jpg

20100625Aber-11-L2.jpg

20100625Aber-12-L2.jpg

Next is BD.2B (Blue Dream) at 26/70 days. That's her in the back corner there:

20100625Aber-13-bd_2b.jpg

It's hard to see in this pic but she has 5 major tops and 4 lesser ones:

20100625Aber-14-bd_2b.jpg

They all look something like this:

20100625Aber-15-bd_2b.jpg

20100625Aber-16-bd_2b.jpg

20100625Aber-17-bd_2b.jpg

Her sister BD.2A (Blue Dream) was also at 26/70 days. She has 8 major tops and 3 lesser, plus she has a lot going on everywhere else as well. She's doing great:

20100625Aber-18-bd_2a.jpg

20100625Aber-19-bd_2a.jpg

20100625Aber-20-bd_2a.jpg

20100625Aber-21-bd_2a.jpg

Next is G13xGB.2D (G13 x GodBud, 3/55 days). She is the smaller of the two I just put in:

20100625Aber-22-g13xgb_2d.jpg

It's quite healthy and just getting started:

20100625Aber-23-g13xgb_2d.jpg

20100625Aber-24-g13xgb_2d.jpg

Last but certainly not least, in bloom, is G13xGB.1EE (G13 x GodBud, 3/55 days) who was huge when I put her in. I pruned a healthy bit off of her lower half. Too much maybe, but she's not reacting yet if it's an issue. She's in the foreground here. She is almost as tall as the tallest girl in there:

20100625Aber-25-g13xgb_1ee.jpg

Here I tried to pixelate the parts of the pic that are not her in this almost-3/4 view of her top. I think it turned out awful:

20100625Aber-26-g13xgb_1ee.jpg

She is healthy though:

20100625Aber-27-g13xgb_1ee.jpg

Here is a quick sweep of veg:

20100625Aber-28-veg.jpg

20100625Aber-29-veg.jpg

I'm about to toss the remaining clones and do another round. None of the KK rooted as far as I can tell. Still alive after 5 weeks though:

20100625Aber-30-cloner.jpg

Finally, here is a current diagram of my space:

20100626Aber-02-now.jpg

I will be adding approximately 11'x14' to that. I've mentioned it a couple times so I won't go into too much detail, but the space I have now will become one 9'x18' bloom room and the new room will be veg. That will take the total space from 162 sq. ft. to 316 sq. ft. That should give me more room.

I'll use every inch though. I was recently thinking about it and realized I need to make a list of everything I intend to shoehorn in. If I can fit them, I want to put in a used dishwasher and a used oven/range. I want a drying cabinet and storage for soilless ingredients and nutrient bottles. There's a long list. I don't know if it will all fit. But I'm going to give it a shot.

I haven't got a walkaround pictorial for you yet. I'll get to it.

:peace:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

The diagram of the space really helps put it all into perspective. Thanks for that. With so many pics, it is easy to get lost but now I know where everything is relative to each other. :bravo:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Glad it helped.

I did feed two days ago and I did feed last night, but without the
Code:
tag I'm at a loss as to how to best post the data. It just dominates every way I try.

L2 gets harvested tonight.

I got CryLo.1A and G13xGB.1DD back from the trimmers. CryLo.1A produced 270g and G13xGB.1DD produced 325g. Woot!

At first taste, the CryLo doesn't seem that great. I'll give it time, but it doesn't look favorable.

:peace:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I took down L2. It looks promising. My fingers are crossed for 6 oz, but I'll be OK with 4.

I got two new Matanuskan T. plants as well. They are both about 2' tall and will be perfect for going into bloom next weekend. I'm going to spray them with Azatrol etc and then over the next few days I will clean them up and get them into 10 gallon pots.

I just filled a Rizzla Silver King paper with G13xGB and am on my way to lala land. G'nite.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Just dropping in to give you a few :cheer::cheer: and a :bravo: for maintaining one of the best grows here at 420Magazine brother. Your consistency in your grows and your reporting is great. If someone wanted to copy your grow they could buy the nutes and add them the same way you did and have the same success.

I may not post alot here but I read it all the time brother.

:peace: to you from my little garden.

:welcome:

By the way, I took some pictures of the CryLo and G13xGB I weighed up yesterday, so I will give a real harvest report. ;)

So I took these right before cutting the buds from the stems. That's CryLo.1A on the left and G13xGB.1DD on the right:

20100627Aber-01-hung.jpg

Since it is a shared drying space, the orange hangers are mine. It's easier that way. I cut the plant up, strip the large fan leaves and hang the branches on the hangers in this closet. They get trimmed and dried for me. I come back and strip off the buds into big airtight bowls. I take that home, weigh it, and jar it in quart mason jars. I burp as needed.

I'll reiterate that I do not sell my bud. There is no legal way to do so and I do not need the money bad enough to risk the jail time. I'm not hard that way I guess. I can grow it and give it to other cardholders under state law. I'll not risk that privilege when I already make a decent wage at my day job. I just feel the need to make that clear from time to time.

CryLo.1A went 79 days. She was an unknown, basically. She was delicately formed when small and actually was delicate to match. She had to be handled with care:

20100423Aber-01-CryLo_1A.jpg

20100423Aber-02-CryLo_1A.jpg

Matching her slim leaves, she had spindly stems and couldn't hold herself up. In the end, she turned all yellow and purple and black and red, like some freaky marionette:

20100617Aber-07-CryLo_1a.jpg

20100617Aber-08-CryLo_1a.jpg

Here's the dried result. Jarred, she totaled 270 g or 9.5 oz:

20100627Aber-02-crylo_1a.jpg

20100627Aber-03-crylo_1a.jpg

The bud is OK, but not great. I may be surprised, but I doubt that a long cure will help much. The buzz is generic and unsatisfying. I say it's too much trouble for mediocre bud. The taste is nonexistent to my poor palate. The high is OK, but nothing special. Again, I doubt that a long cure will help much.

Next is G13xGB.1DD. The was always a big girl, and grew like crazy. The G13xGB is great that way. She went 56 days, which sounds fast, but she is a 55 day plant, so right on target.

20100429Aber-06-g13xgb_1dd.jpg

20100429Aber-07-g13xgb_1dd.jpg

She grew big and healthy until she was pretty good sized:

20100617Aber-25-g13xgb_1dd.jpg

20100617Aber-26-g13xgb_1dd.jpg

She held herself up for the most part. Here's the dried result. Jarred, she totaled 325 g or 11.4 oz:

20100627Aber-04-g13xgb_1dd.jpg

20100627Aber-05-g13xgb_1dd.jpg

She has a nice hard head stone. Good for going to sleep and heavier pain. However, others report it wakes them up, so I don't know what to make of that. None of the other strains I have tried have this much effect. Easy-to-grow devastating bud. I love this stuff! Did I say that already?
