Beateo's - Soil - Lemon Kush Feminized - 2014 - 1st Attempt

Tough call, but if they were mine, I'd chop 'em now. They may not be exactly what you hoped for, but they look pretty well done and the sugar leaves are getting crispy. With nothing but water for three weeks, they are ready. I'm a noob, but it appears to me by waiting you could lose more than you gain. Hopefully those with more experience will chime in so we both learn what should be done.

So you don't want the sugar leaves to turn yellow? So I let my Blue Kush go too long? Heres a pic of it

Hopefully this can help you some way Beateo

just my two cents but i think sometimes you just have to go by what your heart and instincts tells you B. Better to err on the side of caution :)

If you harvest a little early it wouldnt be the end of the world. I think it would be worse to go too long and they end up dying on the vine so to speak.Plus....there is always next grow :circle-of-love:

Happy SkunkDaze Beateo......i agree with Pita and NHteatime.......if it was me i would pull them.....had to do the same a couple years ago due to PH problems......i wouldnt let the sugar leaves turn anymore:).......it will still get you more high than your street stuff i am sure, but if it goes into the sugar leaves and then i would think into the buds....so yep i agree with them two:)

I'm sensing a consensus here. LOL Anyone have any other opinion? If not, I think I'm going to harvest the Skunk, Haze, and Lemon Kush, tomorrow and leave my Wild Child stay because she's barely turning and still seems to be packing on weight. How TOTALLY screwed would I be without :420: :)

:Namaste:

Is this your first grow of mmj Beateo?......jsut looked at your signature:)lol.......if so .....dudde yoiu knocked it out of the park......my very very first grow was under t5s......i grew one to start........it got alll of about 4 inches tall.....ended with a little bud the size of a golf ball:rofl:........was the cutest thing i have ever seen i think.....and then a handful more of dissapointments before i actually harvested any weight to speak of:)......great job Beateo:):bravo:i am looking forward to some harvest pics and bud porn:)....have a great one my friend:)

Hey Green Dreamz... thanks a bunch for the good words! :) This is my first time trying to grow. I started out wanting to just have a plant make it and get a little smoke off of it.. now, of course all of you guys and gals have infected me with wanting things as close to perfect as can be! LOL This website does something to a person.... I never dreamed I'd have such a passion for growing a pot plant after so short of a time. I think most of that comes from prior ignorance... it's NOT just a plant to get stoned with like I thought it was way back when. What a wonderfully healing herb this is!

Now a quick question that I couldn't find an answer to using the search.... by the time I had those 2 small buds trimmed up for the dryer, my scissors were so gummed up with a brown tar that I had to clean them with rubbing alcohol.... is that normal and is that the best way to clean the scissors? I don't think I could have trimmed another bud without cleaning them first. :)
:Namaste:

That i just learned recently is called scissor hash......i use a knife to scrape it off....or even a razor blade i have used.....never used alcohol but as long as you get all of the sticky off then should be no alcohol left:)......i normally have put the scissor hash in with my trim, but learned that a lot of people put a dab of it in there bowl with herb and smoke away....so next time i am gonna try that:)

I was going to wait until tomorrow to start but I went ahead and cut the Sleestack Skunk, trimmed it up, and put it in the dryer. Not bad considering I did it while watching the NFC championship. LOL (BTW.. trimming is the suckiest part I've experienced so far!) :)
GD, thanks for the scissors tip. So I have a few pictures and I weighed all of the buds at once and they came out to 2.6 oz. / 74 gr. not including what I already have dried and in the jar from this girl. This is the first time I've done any of this so.... is that a good amount? I mean... the seed was FREE so I'm not complaining either way and I understand this is only a "wet weight" for lack of knowing what it's REALLY called. My trimming job probably isn't the best either.... first try at it but I did watch a good you-tube tutorial from one of our members here. Keep in mind that this is TOTALLY for personal use and no one other than my dad, myself, and my wife will be using it.... I'd NEVER sell, or even give, inferior stuff to someone who depends on it as medicine. OK.. enough rambling...some pictures:
This is really just 3 different pictures of the exact same thing.

KingJohnC, I have been feeding nothing but ph adjusted water since Christmas day. I'm putting up what's probably way too many pictures for you all to look at. I'm hoping they show the colors better than the ones I've put up so far. These pictures are from my Kush & Haze. The "test" clippings are from my Skunk.

Yes you should begin your harvest now as the yellowing has progressed to the buds sugar leaves.

The sugar leaves on your bud are light green and are looking good.

The residue is called scissor hash and can be smoked if scraped off the scissors. I use 90%+ rubbing alcohol to remove residue from equipment.

Awesome Beateo!

Pretty cool to see you finally get what everyone wants. Although, I have discovered that I am totally in love with the process! I have always wanted to grow, and I have totally caught the bug... I just flipped my ladies, now I have weeks and weeks to wait to get to where you are now. I'll just enjoy looking at yours for now :) What will you plant next?
