First Grow Fire OG LED 900W In Soil

Debating on whether I should attempt Bud washing. Seems like it's a simple process. But is it absolutely necessary... still not sure. I've kept a really clean grow environment her entire life, and normally use gloves when I touch the colas. So im thinking maybe I'll skip it this first round. Then try it next round. But like I said, still not sure.

I also went an got some stuff. 5x quart sized wide mouth glass mason jars, and 5x Boveda 62% Humid packs. Hoping that's enough, I read they should hold about an ounce each comfortably. Don't think she will be producing that big of a yeild. lol

Bud washing is highly recommended by a lot of the more experienced growers on here though I have yet to try it myself!

Have you read the Dr.Ziggy's low and slow drying thread? Some really good info in there. Dr.Ziggy and SweetSue fostered a great environment in that thread and there's tons of feedback for harvest time there.

Getting excited? :cheesygrinsmiley: .

Yeah I can definitely see its benefits. And will make it a part of my harvest routine in the future. But I think I'll skip it this time.

And ya been through the Low and Slow thread by Dr Ziggy, great stuff. Getting not only excited but anxious lol

Washing is big on 420....scoffed/laughed at on some other forums. Like you I try to maintain a sano environment & only foliar until early flower....so not for me. Outside I will hose them off late if it doesn't rain first. :Namaste:
Yeah def big on 420, seeing lots of growers doing it, and having great things to say about it. And I can see why, especially with multiple plants to harvest.

I think I'll be skipping it this round. But for sure something I'd like to try and experiment with.

I'll have to look more into washing as part of the final finish. I had to use some neem oil wiped on with cotton swabs to keep the aphids under control until my lady bugs arrived. For me it will probably be a good idea.

Yeah it's worth exploring for sure. Def sounds like a good idea to help get any neem residue off, if there is any.. good luck .

Update:

So today marks the end of week 9 Flower (post flip) 63 days .
As of this morning, until harvest day, she will be on a 11 on 13 off light schedule.

Watered her today, with 2 gallons. PH 6.4 5ml Calmag, 1tsp Big Bloom, 1tsp Tiger Bloom, 3ml Hydroplex, 3ml Bud Candy per gallon. Didn't test the ppm, I know it's lower than last feed's. This will be her last feed. Starting the final flush after this. She will be getting plain RO water until harvest. Probably PH it to 6.5 every time.

Planning on a harvest Oct 14th - Oct 16th. My 3rd wedding anniversary is the 17th, and we will be out of town for 2 days. So I'd like to get her chopped and hung before I leave. Assuming she's ready by then. If not, the flush will just continue until she's ready. And she will come down when I get back. The 14th marks 10 weeks, so we'll see how this turns out. Will be giving her at least 24 hours of darkness before harvest.

She seems to be doing great. Pulled through whatever she was suffering from. So I'm happy. Pretty sure the flush is what helped. So thanks again for those who helped,
Her buds are beautiful, nice and dense, sticky. The buds themselves have tons of frost. Should be a good harvest. Not expecting great numbers, considering my light, and it's just one plant. But hopefully the 260-270 watts will get me a decent yield.

Pics to come either tonight or tomorrow

Pics from today, am I wrong, or is there quite a bit of amber trichomes on the sugar leaves. Some second opinions would be nice.

Nice pics Kevin!

Definitely some good Amber but a lot of cloudy there. Sugar leaves will go Amber before bud so while they are a good indicator of progress, looking at your buds will be the best way to decide when to chop!

I really like your plant btw. Lol if I haven't already said, love the way you trained her .

I initially also started flush on my DWC but added nutes to them again earlier this week. I understand DWC only requires a couple days to flush. Are you planning on doing a 2-3 day 24 hour dark cycle to end? I've read many do... haven't yet decided yet if it will do anything for my grow or not.

Yeah I plan on giving her a 24-30 hour dark cycle before harvest. Ive read it does have benefits, so why not. Should hurt them
