First Grow In A While

So a couple of days ago I was finally able to give her a decent feeding. Up to this point it’s just been whatever nutrients were in the living soil I planted in and there are clearly some issues that I’m too late to correct before she’s done.
I let 1/2 gallon of tap water sit as usual until chlorine bubbles stopped forming completely. Then I added 1/2 tsp FF Big Bloom, 1/4 tsp molasses, and 1 tsp of Sea-K seaweed and kelp powder. I let that bubble with an air stone overnight. Corrected the Ph to 6.5, and watered with about half of it. I water slowly with a water bottle that I poked holes in the cap, to ensure even watering and no dry spots.
She’s fading to light green, with the flowers having a purple tinge to them. I just don’t know honestly if the fade is end of cycle related or if it’s a deficiency or toxicity problem. Any insight is appreciated.

Hey bro that does sound like a cal-mag deficiency. I’m going through the same thing right now with a couple of mine. CL🍀

I have a small bottle of cal mag but I’ve had it forever. I also have some epsom salt
I don’t think cal-mag goes bad or has an expiration date. Using epsoms is tricky because they say use a teaspoon or something but you can have one spoon hold more than others. If it was me I’d use the cal-mag. Happy growing bro. CL🍀

So I finished the cabinet. And we can all have a laugh at my expense. When I measured the cabinet space, my dumb ass took the outside measurements lol. So my light don’t fit. It’s an inch too wide and sits at an angle but I went thru too much trouble to put this thing together so I present to you…….. this oddity lol. At least I can keep my light at full brightness and the fans run quiet and keep the temp stable. I’m going to order a light that fits lol.
Until I go get some dryer vent tubing, I just have a fan blowing at the base so that the bottom fan can draw in cool air and the warm air is blowing up and away instead of directly to the intake fan.

Been there done that. But not on a grow cabinet. Shit Happens

You have severe Magnesium deficiency on all of your plants. FF is not very complete for growing Cannabis and I would rather look for a complete plant food Iike Maxibloom, MegaCrop, Floraflex, Athena, Dyna Gro, Canna, GH to name a few better alternatives.

To mitigate your Magnesium def you can spray Epsom salts as foliar in veg and add 1g per gallon to your nutrient feed.
I want to apologize for being a jerk earlier today. FB groups are full of people pushing products with zero experience growing and I assumed you were doing the same thing. I’m man enough to admit when I’m wrong.

Creds to you man! It's all good! I come out sounding like an asshole more than I like to admit but I genuinely just want to help. Cheers!

I found an affordable LED that will fit perfect on Amazon. Around the same power. I have plastic storage cabinet that will fit this one if I really wanted to get serious. But I think I’ll order the other light and try to sell this one. Until then, my grow light is sittin sideways like Paul Wall for a week or two lol.

It’s doing the Southeast side lean is all. Profiling! Lmao 🤣 CL🍀

So I took this picture after work today a few minutes ago. I’m not sure if there is something wrong, or if it’s a normal fade because it’s in flower. The pot was dry when I got home, so I watered with just plain water this time. I adjusted the Ph that ended up at 6.3.
I fed on Monday with water and kelp extract, with just a few drops of cal mag. Hoping that adding the cal mag didn’t throw off the mojo. I just added 1/16 tsp to a half gallon. Hoping the plain water drink will bring back some life. Any input is appreciated as always.

What brand Cal/Mag are you using and you need to find out how many mls that spoon is holding. CL🍀

Was bored this morning so I took a peek at her thru a jewelers loupe. Noticed spots of amber trichomes on every bud lol. Just a few here and there but it was surprising to see. I may just let the pot dry out and cut her down. I don’t see her flowers getting much bigger in the small pot. Maybe Sunday afternoon I’ll bring her out, snip off the yellow leaves, and hang the whole plant to dry in the cabinet with the fans running. We will see.

Love the cabinet you made!

I don't think that fade is totally natural.. too much necrosis on the tips already, either very hungry plant and not happy with how she is getting things.
I have no idea how to course correct this as it's a whole mix of things I dunno.

All I can say is get over to one of the SIP threads, build yourself one of those and try that out.. does away with the whole run off and watering schedules gets you way bigger fruits and you still get to grow in soil.

And check out your tapwater, you gotta know more about it so you can either adjust what you add to it or treat it or use something else as it can often be the culprit.. a lot of my growing woes disappeared when I stopped using tap, I've switched to mainly distilled which if I add nutes to it gets very low in ph and then I raise the ph to 6,2 with adding just a few glasses of tapwater so I don't even need to use ph- anymore.
And then even more growing woes vanished now using a SIP, I've been using it since December 2022 and I haven't worried once about watering or nutrition.

But you got a nice cab, make a nice SIP for it and try it out.. way less hassle and kinda foolproof against over or underwatering and you'll have buds over that entire mid area of your cabinet.

I really appreciate the information. I’m definitely going to look into SIP and learn as much as possible. I’m already looking forward to my next one.

The buds still look green and lots of trichs clear, what day are you on?
Just keep her ripening.

And indeed prep and research the next.
I would definitely recommend the SIP, it's basically a pot in a pot where you create a reservoir under the soil for water and an airgap and then a way for water to wick to the soil and it works like a charm as I think as most threads will show.. the complaint is even that it's too easy... as well it's pretty hands off you just need to fill the reservoir.

Then the nutes yeah I don't recognise anything you are using and with living soil I would assume it's a more organic grow? Might want to have one of those specialists chime in how to set that up.

Still if you plan on mainly using tap gotta know more about it, search local water company website etc, I can find the composition for my town on mine.
For me it was definitely an issue, and it's not one that shows up instantly, as I could veg a plant perfectly fine with only tap and soil.. but flowering... eeeh and in combination with nutes all kinds of problems kept occurring that all vanished with now only using a couple of glasses of it.
Not saying it's the case here with you, but since it's one of the main components you'll be pouring into your plant best see how it reacts with all the additives.
Even if it's fine.. better to figure it out first instead of six grows in.. hmm maybe I should try different water & nutes and then going oh shit that works :)
