Thank you, sir.They're looking great!
Thanks, Al.Awesome! Loving it, FEF.
Thanks, @AlaforniaDementia is a terrible condition. You are obviously a good friend. That's all you can do/be at a time like this.
The plants look great. Good job!
Thanks @greenjeans. You know, I had the same thought last night. I'm going to do some research today to see what strains are beneficial to this condition. I know that I have read a few grow journals that were dedicated to growing medicine for this disease. I think that I'll start there.Sorry to hear about your friend - what a plague, dementia, Alzheimers and the like have become. It is very hard on all involved.
On the bright side - those are such nice tight little plants - you'll be able to share the bounty of your harvest with your friend in no time at all.
That's the one, Al. I knew that I had read it recently. Thank you, sir.@SweetSue has a thread on dementia/alzheimer's. That is a good place to start.
So, so thankful for your input, @SweetSue. And thank you for linking me on the Class Notes, when they're completed. This little community that we have here is so supportive. Thanks for directing him Alafornia
There's a school of thought that suggests it'll take very low doses to stop the progression in many patients, as low as 5 mg of THC and CBD a day. I'd suggest a varietal of cannabis more towards an indica profile, and one higher in CBD wouldn't be a bad thing.
We're talking micro dosing with Alzheimer's. High doses work against the treatment and end up confusing the patient.
I'm working my way through Green Flower Media's showing of CannaMed 2018, and there's at least one talk, and possibly a panel discussion on treating Alzheimer's with cannabis. I'll link you to my posts in Class Notes when I get that done.
CBD 18 mg twice daily is helping my mother. Psychotic symptoms greatly diminished. MOCA score improved from 20 to 27 from one visit to the next.
Understood, Al. If the a-hole ever gets relocated, let me know. Logistically, I might be able to help you out.As you know, FEF, THC is not an option for her unfortunately. I'd consider circumventing the laws there but an a-hole complicates the matter enough to make that impossible on a risk basis.
It kind of helps me work some things out in my head
