I'm Back! Cherry Pie, Amnesia Lemon & Dark Devil Auto

Wow, another week goes by and I've neglected to update my journal with the photos I took the past 7 days. Sorry!:rolleyes:

These are from the 12th:

I swapped AL and CP front to back again to even the light on them, and everyone was rotated 90 degrees. CP is a little unhappy with the fan blowing on her head so she's leaning away.

So, today's update for the new @Canuk Seeds friends will be in the new journal shortly. Here's a teaser:

A little more wide angle to get everyone in

DDAis up to 19" tall now and slowing down so I doubt there will be another inch in growth. Gave her some more flower nutes and hoping to get nice and thick and sticky.

CP in the front again now at 15" tall. She's lopsided with the fan blowing straight on her. That'll change soon as I'm gonna be putting the 32" tent together this week and moving all 3 into there so the little ones plus some other plant seedlings can get a little better light to themselves in this tent.

And AL looks a little out of sorts at the top. They got water yesterday and feel pretty solid now so maybe overwatered?
Just under 15" tall now. Any thoughts on the curling leaves?? I'm sure they want bigger pots too...

The weather here has gotten cold a few days and the tent temp fluctuates at dark to light between 66-78 degrees F. Not sure if the low temp is TOO low, but I can still close up the tent a little more to give a little bit of warmth at night.

The babies look good and everyone's gonna appreciate more room! Are those curled leaves directly under a fan?
She was under the fan (from an angle) yesterday before I watered them and swapped back to front. Didn't look like that until today.

So I did a thing today...

The 32" tent has been resurrected and I up potted CP and AL to 3 gallon pots. I'll never use these 1 gallon fabric pots at intermediate pots anymore. Took a while to get the girls out by being extra careful. Their soil wasn't that damp so I don't think the curling is from over watering. maybe too much of some nutrient. I'll water them with plain water tonight to wet the soil and leave them for a few days. I added myco and worm castings plus a few oz of the Geo veg nuts mixed into the FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil.

DDA will likely get moved over later today as well to prepare the CM and BBCbd babies to have their own tent. Might Switch the big tent to 12 hour light on/off and get the others ready for flower. Given an 8 week flower cycle that should be good to move the babies in there when the big ones are done and my perpetual grow begins.

This half week update has us at 5 weeks of flower for DDA. Fan leave are yellowing up and she's cleaning herself up. Next pic she'll be nice and pretty again.:Rasta:

CP and AL are moving along. They're at 12.5 hour light on right now and I'm planning on setting the 12 hour soon. I need to figure out the curling still. I don't have a soil test kit right now so other than just continue to water with no nutes, I'm not sure what to do next. I recall previously I had some curling (not this extensive) when I went into flower, so...?
:oops::reading420magazine:😖

And the babies have their own journal now. I'll put DDA into the 12 hour tent this week and clean up this one to accomodate what could be 6 more plants. These are regular, so we'll see how many females I get...

And I've got a little helper trying to keep up with the gnats/fruit flies...

HI Shed, the last DDA I grew was green as well (assuming it really is DDA - just like my others from that formerly know as SSCC seed company)...since I have nothing to compare to I can't say if it's stronger or not! ;)

I realize I've been really lazy on this grow, but with a new house and my son moving in with his two cats this past weekend also, it's been a whirlwind of other stuff taking priority. The plants haven't grown as well as I had expected, but again, not paying a whole lot of attention to exact nutrient amounts and watering schedule has put a hamper on their growth. Since I'm not going for any records here on this grow (or any for that matter really) I'm not concerned as they are still growing and producing flowers.

The flowering girls are all together now in the big tent and DDA is now at 7 weeks of flower. I'll be checking the trichomes to see what they look like, but from her hair colors, the end is near possibly, unless the new light and schedule makes her slow down.

Today 10/31 Happy Halloween!! 🙀👽🤠👺🤡👻👻🎃

EDIT: On closeup of DDA top cola, the new light HAS appeared to adjust her growth to put out more. Since she's not getting burnt inches away from the LED anymore, she may be getting a life extension! :)

CM and AL are moving along, with AL still curly but growing more flowers so far.

The stretch is ON! Today 10/31
20231031_115734.jpg

Now I GOTTA write the @Canuk Seeds comparo journal! I've been remiss for sure on that.

Lots happening at your place! Nice new growth from the top too. :thumb:

Not sure who that is. Sweet Seeds is the only breeder of DDA though other seed banks carry them. But if they don't mention Sweet Seeds in their description then all bets are off!
My bad, it was TSSC - The Single Seed Centre, now HomeGrown Cannabis Co.

Understood! I ended up almost killing my patchouli plant this summer with my oil spray that was obviously too concentrated. I'll be making a new batch with a whole lot less oils. Thank you sir. May I please have another?

So this morning I got out the USB microscope, downloaded software and spent a good 5 minutes trying to get a good shot of the trichombs on DDA but my hands are not that steady and none of the photos came out in focus. Needless to say, today was harvest day. Almost all the trichombs were cloudy and there were quite a few dark amber ones also, which may have been from the minimal rosemary/clove oil mix spray from two days ago too (I barely used it on there as I knew harvest would be coming so...). Anyway. I also saw quite a few nasty little mites (yuck, Yuck, YUCK!!!!) and said "yer DONE!" Set up a washing station in my basement next to the tents and got to work.

Another quality focused shot. LOL

I cut off the major branches and measured before washing - 37g with stems

She's a little naked without her branch skirt... o_O:Namaste:

And nicely stacked at 72g

And now up drying in the cool dry basement under the stairs
20231103_121936.jpg

effin BUGS!

DDA drying nice and slow in the 63-66°F range and 50-53%RH depending on night or day. 2-3 more days and I'll de-stem the buds and put into jars to start burping with a Boveda™ 62% pack.

AL and CM got swapped back again and got a nice diluted clove/rosemary oil bath on the major leaves (I tried to avoid buds, but that's kidna difficult). Still dunno what's with the curled leaves...maybe the mites? The leaves are pretty "crunchy" dry, but not brittle and breaking.
