I'm Back! Cherry Pie, Amnesia Lemon & Dark Devil Auto

So after almost 2 years without babies growing in the soil, I'm back in action. Since I was almost evicted previously I have turned the corner and bought a house! SO much easier and safer than apartment growing for sure. Still not in a "legal" state, but it wil be eventually. Got myself a whole BASEMENT I can use for growing now, with it's own sink with filtered water even.

Starting small with only 3 seeds. I had tried a couple weeks ago to start 4 others but I guess the soil or the water or weather (cheap and unfiltered/chlorinated and hot) caused them to slowly wither and die after only getting their 2nd set of leaves. This time I'm indoors with FoxFarm soil, filtered water, and my Mars Hydro LED in the mini tent to start until ready for "big" time.

Of course the seeds that failed previously were the new ones (and not cheap of course), but I'm going back to tried and true (at least DDA and CP are) with Dark Devil Auto (one seed left after this), Cherry Pie (one of a few freebies), and Amnesia Lemon (another freebie). All were germ'd and put into soil within a day after root showed and they all popped up above soil after another day. Looking good so far! (knock on wood). Gotta get the humidity decent somehow without soaking the basement lol...just a little low right now. Fans are also on the way to give them some sway to strengthen stems.

Hey Schnookie, nice to see you growing again! I'm glad you're settled into a place that sounds great for the plants (even illegally). Are all three autos or just the DDA?

Looks like the Cherry Pie is not an auto (and also I paid for them, not freebies! lol). I'm assuming the Amnesia Lemon is also photoperiod as I can't find any record of it being an auto in my order history!

Ok so it's been what, 6 days, so these guys are at about two weeks from soil pop I guess. I've given them a small dose like 1/4 strength MC with distilled water since I don't trust the water here yet until I get it tested. I had a bunch of other plants I was growing mysteriously wither and die after a few weeks I've been here so I attributed it to the high chlorine in the water or whatever else is in it. I don't really trust the report on their website.

So, since using fileted water from my fridge and distilled, plants are staying alive. Coincidence or only the strong survive?

It's hard to really tell them apart yet.

Got myself a mini wifi camera and remote hygrometer/thermometer sensor in addition to the "local" device so I don't have to go up and down the stairs so often with my bad knee...although it does seem more activity for me is better than none...

And I'd previously learned that autos don't always like to be transplanted that much so DDA will likely go into a 3 gallon fabric pot next instead of the 1 gallon... correct me if I'm wrong?

I've had success up-potting an auto twice...gently!

Not too much change the last two days. I gave them a little distilled water from the top and seemed a lot more wilted afterwards but all have perked up after a day of artificial sun...btw I have them on an 18/6 on off cycle with my 120w (or maybe it's 95. I can't recall offhand) Mars hydro full spectrum led.

And while I was writing this after I went down to record the remote sensor which apparently didn't reach Bluetooth through the floor unfortunately, I had a pop-up from the camera saying activity at the grow ... good thing! Bad kitty!!

Ok, where are we now? More fertilizer with low strength MC. DDA goes into a little wilt each watering, the others seem to be lapping it up and asking for more so, next time.

They've ot a couple companions here now for a little while too. Hopefully they'll grow enough to be put in the ground in the garden and have a chance to root out and be ready for real growth next year. The gourds might not make it very far but I'll have some artichokes next year for sure!

Goodness! 5 days since my last update?

Well the girls got up potted, the non autos into 1 gallon fabric pots and DDA into a 3 gallon for a one time change.

They were potted with a couple inches of miracle gro (didn't have enough of the good stuff for the whole pot) mixed with earth worm castings and mycorrhizae

Ok now. DDA started flower so time to get bud nutes ready. I'll keep her in the 18 hour tent for now, and I need to plant my gourds too (or pot them in something bigger than the 2" pots they're in now anyway)! They're starting to flower too!!?

I'm gonna have to step up my documentary game for the @Canuk Seeds comparative grow journal! I've been pretty slack here.

Anyway, here's the latest update.
I'm gonna put DDA at one week of flower now. I might be off a day or two (late). She's 10" tall for reference

Cherry Pie in the front left is 7" tall and Amnesia Lemon is just over 6". Maybe they need more light? I just added another LED from my new house...it was a ceiling spotlight which has an adjustable color on it even. I'll be changing it from the 5k it's at now to 3400 or whatever the lowest is. I'll get a picture of it later this week. Dad's visiting for 3 days...guess I'll have to spill the beans...

4 days later and they were given some water and a half cup of geoflora veg for CP and AL and a half cup + of gf flower to DDA.

I gave them a little less maybe 9 days ago and forgot to document it. The geoflora was mixed into the top 2 inches of soil and watered in. I'll give them the same amount of water tomorrow or the next day depending on what they look life. They are nice and green and happy so I'm being gentle with them.

So, since Monday, DDA has grown to almost 15", CP is now 10" and AL is just under 9". Cranking away...

I swapped them left right and AL & CP went to opposite corners. The extra LED is pointed at DDA now, as opposed to CP which may be why she is taller than AL... Let's see if she catches up now with that light closer.

Wow I took pictures a couple time this week but forgot to post. anyways.

We're at 18 days of flower for DDA and she is up to almost 18" tall. Had to move the lights up so they weren't right on her head!

And with the extra LED shining on AL, she's caught up to her sister CP and they're both at 11" now.

I'm not going for big yields this time, just want to get my stash rebuilt after using it all up the last two years without a grow. Yes, I had that much! The first year I split it with my son and finished it all up a week ago or so unless I've got some hidden around here somewhere which is quite possible! Still got a few boxes to unpack but I think I've been through them all ... I'll be setting up the second tent which is 32x32 as opposed to this 24x24 and more suited for long flowering if need be. I've got another 220w LED, an HPS and MH if I want to get creative. My basement also isn't air conditioned or heated so the extra heat from the HPS might be welcome!!

Well my @Canuk Seeds cement shoes and Bruce Banner cbd regulars popped from their seed casings and were put into soil. All 4 CS came up and I'm waiting for 2 out of the 4 BBC to arise still. canuk

I'll be setting up their journal shortly with more details.

CM in grey and yellow pots while BBC is in blue and purple. The ones in the purple pots didn't pop roots while in the paper towel so I'm hoping soil will help. Otherwise I'm hoping I get at least one female in the pair...
