Mars Hydro FC-3000 Shines Down On Babygirl’s Sour Livers In DWC: Sponsored Grow

One night of that ain't gonna hurt em. Might wanna try to not repeat that though.:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Yeah - not repeating THAT one!

Ah. A bit dry. Lol. Not quite a desert, but dryish.
To hubby and I that’s really dry; if our room is that dry overnight we wake up in the morning with sore noses and throats.

I get that. You, of course, are presumably a human being. I shoot for 35% in flower for the last three or four weeks, and about 40%-45% at the point you're at. I would offer to you that perhaps plant RH needs are slightly different than human RH needs.....lol.

No, I totally get that we’re not plants and she’s not human ;) … but she was actually looking dry this morning - not sure how else to explain it *lol*

BabyGirl, BabyGirl! That plant is all that. :Rasta:

see why I recommended Shed? Lol. No offense to anyone else, plenty of folks here are capable of helping too
Offense taken.

I coulda' showed her how to chop that sucker up real good!

Lol! Okay GDB, next time I cross the line and recommend a help suggestion for a third party without even asking the person if they have time to help that party, as I did to Shed, you're first on the list.

But let's clarify anyway even though this is all in good fun: in all seriousness, GDB is as capable as any other experienced grower in the forum, and would have been quite capable of helping you out as well.

Heh. :thumb:

Brother … ANYONE here knows more than I do and can help me *lol*. I trust ALL of you way more than mysef!

Lol. You're just like me. I constantly get told that I know more than I think I know. That may or may not be true. But I promise it's true of you. You don't realize yet just how much knowledge you've accumulated in a very short time. On your next grow it'll kick in and you'll have a moment, maybe several, where you're like, "oh, wow, i remember when that was a total mystery to me," or "hmm, maybe I do know a little something...." You'll really like those moments, trust me.

That's nice of you to say @Jon. But you recommended the right person. Shed's explanation was clear, concise and spot on! :)

Or, on your next grow you'll be saying, "Damn, that's the same shit I mucked up on my last grow!"

But Jon is correct. You know how to grow. You're doing great in what you consider your "Training Days." :ganjamon:

Thanks GDB! I was talking with Jon earlier off-line and told him there were some things that I’ve done differently this time than I did on my last grow and wondered if they were what could be driving some of Liv’s incredible growth (though I still maintain its mostly her @Mars Hydro FC-3000!). He said it was definitely possible, so I’m making note of those things to continue for my next grow as well. I know I have learned some things this go-round and those will also be added to my notes :)

Whatever you do, don't share it with us! :cheesygrinsmiley:
I will … just need to get it down is all; its nothing special - just a couple things I observed.

Ok, I did it … trimmed anything that may have turned into larf from the bottom third; hells bells - I think I actually took the entire bottom third! But that also included stuff that was growing up in the center. (I didn't defoliate anything from the top yet, I was worried because what I took actually amounted at about 1/3 of a kitchen trash bag - the top center will be tomorrow and only a few leaves each day over the next few days).

Unfortunately now her top looks ROUGH; hopefully by tomorrow she won’t look so bad. Also a pic of a bit of root porn for ya’ll.

Now, as for what I’ve done different this time around vs last is this:
  • I used Rapid Start rooting enhancer this time, but I didnt just use it in the beginning - I think I actually used it for the first full 8 weeks; only recently stopped adding it to her nute mix. I think this helped strengthen her root mass and thus helped her growth
  • I made use of the drip ring long after her roots hit the water; I think that by doing this, the rooting hormones, hydroguard, and beneficial bacteria all got distributed throughout the root mass - not just at the bottom where in the water. I know this *shouldn't* matter because everything goes up *through* the roots, but well, thats my guess on the matter.
  • That second point plays into when I’ve been having to add her daily gallon of nute mix because she’s drinking so much. I haven’t been lifting the lid and adding it to the res … just been dumping it straight at the base of the plant and letting it go through the hydroton into the res.
So there you have it; just a few things I did differently this go around that I wonder if they’ve made a positive impact. OBVIOUSLY her @Mars Hydro FC-3000 is responsible for (I believe) most of it - but every little bit helps!

She looks like how I feel on a hot day after a hair cut :cheesygrinsmiley:

Just out of curiosity, do you have enough jars stashed for the cure? I think your gonna be North of 200g dried and cured. I remember you said your 1st was a bit smaller and i just want to make sure there's no last minute rush.

Unbelievable how great she's looking, your doing stellar!

Ps- both Grandpa Tokin and Stormblessed use those buckets a few pages back. If I was doing a DWC, that's the kind of bucket I'd want.
