Outdoor Sativa Cultivation At 39N Inland, At 2950 Feet, 900 Metres, Altitude

19-June-2022 :

Today we have a daytime high of 45°C-113°F in the shade (under the midday sun, don't even think about it...but according to the weather agencies, we have reached 54°C-130°F), with a minimum humidity of only 5%, and a maximum ultraviolet radiation index of 11.
It will be the hottest day of the whole summer.
Even the ants are only going for the shade, and with a Panama hat and a water bottle...
This is how the countryside is around "The Dogs' House":

From the proximity below, to the distance above, Flash Back (Flo x White Wido; Sweet Seeds; born 15-May), King Congo (Congo Point Noire x South African Ciskei; Tropical Seeds Company; born 15-May) and Zamaldélica (Zamal x Golden Tiger; Asociación de Cultivadores Españoles; born on 19-May):

That tree on the left? Are you close to natural water source?
If you refer to the last photo, on the left, I see a large eucalyptus and a small fig tree.
As for the water, very close to me born several streams, brooks and small rivers...but you will see what a sorry state they are in, if you continue accompanying me so kindly on this walk...
Yes, there is underground water.

Like the Coldplay song. All Yellow
Oops, that's too slow for me...
I think this other song fits more with my situation in summer...

But I want to make it clear, that also Coldplay fans are welcome to come along for the ride, of course.... As this other song says at minute 2 and 22 seconds: "It doesn't matter if you like Coldplay!...".

Thank you all for your pleasant company.

Looool no worries brother. I’ve banned Coldplay fans from my thread. You’re a kind man 😂

Really enjoying this thread, glad I found it 👊

Naaaaah... Don't be so radical, compay.... Here, as the song says, it doesn't matter sex, creed or race around a joint, as long as there are good hearts and good vibes... The only bad thing is that the owner of the portable stereo always plays the music he/she wants (the good thing is that the owner is me, he, he, he, he...).

King Congo
(Congo Point Noire X South African Ciskei; Tropical Seeds Company; born 15-May).
She has already shown herself to be a female some day ago! Once again, she is not only the fastest pure sativa I grow to show sex, but she has once again beaten even indica/sativa hybrids harvested in early October [I have a Flash Back (Flo X White Widow; Sweet Seeds) born the same day in the hole next door, as well as A.C.E.'s Zamaldélica].
I have her (the King Congo), moreover, in the hole that suffers more the Sun, because it has already demonstrated me its hardness to my type of burning and dry heat; the poor girl has already known the 45°C (113°F) in the shade of maximum, and minimum environmental humidities of 5%....
Can you see the bright green grasshopper brood on a leaflet on the bottom of the second photo...

Lol just listened to that tune. My wife’s best friend is Columbian, it’s what my house sounds like when they get together 😂🤟

Colombian? Tell her that I really like Totó la Momposina...and that I'm single.
...Fueegooooooo..., que me quemo...
...Que le canto a Colombia...que se quema con candela...

I'd like to introduce you to another grower. His climate is unlike yours, but your growing style reminds me of his. He's known here as conradino23, and was a regular poster for years. He's also a landrace sativa lover. In fact, now that I think of it, you probably know him from his Landrace Genetics thread.

Anyway, here's a link to his first thread. It can be fun reading for those that can appreciate outdoor growing in the wild.

Thanks Joe.

And Cide, at the risk of hogging your thread, here's a pic of my last Destroyer. It was so fine!

I have another 3-pak in my stash, from last year, so I'll be running them soon.

26-June-2022 :
Greetings to all of you from the deepest part of my nation (so that my compatriots can locate me by themselves: the area where we still throw goats from the bell towers), today 26-July, when it is 21:15, the exact moment of my photos.

Now, I 'm in glory, with highs in the shade no longer exceeding 37°C (98'6°F). The Saharan haze has also ceased, and the air no longer burns, but cools.
Even so, the early Saharan heat wave has prematurely dried out the countryside, and there are already restrictions on the water supply...
This young pomegranate tree has dried out all but this one blossom:

1662530666160.png

Even the inflorescences of this young palm-heart tree have dried up:

1662530877809.png

However, as is logical, no heat wave seems to affect the Canary's palms-trees, and they continue to bear fruit without any problems:

1662531027136.png

Nor have the white oleanders been much affected (if many flowers of the roses have dried up, I don't know why). There is enough poison here to kill half the forum....:

Quince trees, too, have prematurely dropped many fruits:

...The earliest olive trees have lost a great part of their fruit in formation, and the production of the later ones will probably be considerably reduced.

The olive grove, located halfway up the hill, in the dehesa/savannah until the wild forest above really begins and which appears in the background, looks like the sub-Saharan African savannah in dry season...:

For those growers who are careful with their fresh seedlings, I show this evidence that they're ready for just about anything at that stage. :laughtwo:

Cuttings are delicate. Seedlings are not. Nice looking one! :thumb:

Of course: it is not the same to be under that sun and with those temperatures in the soil or mother earth, as it is in a small pot. In the latter case, until I transplant it to soil, if I have to shade the seedling in the pot at midday and/or water it much more constantly.
